Came so close vs the patriots and Steelers which would of made him the first qb to win a Super Bowl with 2 different teams. In fact, all of his super bowls were some of the best in nfl history. Cardinals vs the Steelers is the best super bowl I’ve ever seen. One of the best qbs to ever play no question. Not only was he part of the greatest offense in league history, but if he was 3-0 in the big game he would be top 10 all time for sure

    Well I am glad they made a movie about Kurt Warner about his unusual way to the NFL and you still have to admit Kurt Warner had one of the most beautiful long passes ever thrown in the NFL history books and that's the reason why that pat summerall and the great John Madden said this is the greatest show on turf

      I think Fitzgerald is up there with Moss when it comes to jump ball catches and doesn't bring drama. Torry Holt had route running like Jerry Rice.

    Kurt Warner may be the GOAT of undrafted, unsigned, and ignored free agents in the modern era of football.
    He took the Arizona Cardinals to the Superbowl-- who had only 2 playoff wins in their 50+ year history to that point.
    He took the "same old, sorry ass rams" to the Superbowl for the second time in their history --
    Ask yourself - what have the Cardinals or Rams been since he left? Cardinals got close in 2015. so they might get back someday, but I don't see it happening for the Rams for a long time.
    My other GOAT for undrafted, modern players is Wes Welker - I think he's a better slot receiver than Romo was a QB

    • @geraldmartin3625
      @geraldmartin3625 6 лет назад

      50 year history huh? The cardinals are the oldest NFL franchise dating back to 1898 , hence the 100 year commemorative patch they wore in 1998

    • @paysonfox88
      @paysonfox88 6 лет назад +1

      that's why I said 50+ year history -- I didn't know how old the actual franchise was. I knew they'd been around since the 50's but not before that. Do you know if the Chicago Bears or the Green Bay Packers are 100 yet?

    • @geraldmartin3625
      @geraldmartin3625 6 лет назад +1

      +paysonfox88 Honestly I dont know. Im a cardinals fan so I know a lil more about my team. I believe da bears packers and lions were all established in the 1920s

    • @paysonfox88
      @paysonfox88 6 лет назад

      The franchise encyclopedia for the Cardinals only goes back to 1920 or 1919 depending on the source. Mabe in the pre-NFL era, the Cardinals existed for a span.
      My own knowledge only went back the the 1960 "St.Louis Cardinals" when they moved there from Chicago. As far as I knew, the only football team in town was the Bears. the 50-60 yr estimate was based on the
      St. Louis Cardinals . I assumed that they had started in the 60's and moved to Phoenix in 1988

    Most fun team to watch.... most of their games were like a living video games...what a team... Marshall Faulk, Issac Bruce, Torry Holt... what a team... one of the most accurate passers ever... He 24 games with 4 or less incompletions, his last playoff win against the Packers in 2010, he was 29 of 32 for 379 yds, and 3 tds... just deadly accurate,and highly underated...

    what a champion
    I think the best part is actually his time with the cardinals. going from undrafted to MVP and SB champion is crazy enough... but then to be considered done (again), and come back (again) to lead the Cardinals was pure power of will

    Man i miss him as a starter especially in 2008 and 2009. It's a shame that the Cardinals didn't win the SB with him since we were so close then Santonio Holmes and Big Ben messed up my hopes. Still get goosebumps from that play and Matt Leinart

      I disagree. The catch at the end sealed the deal but the real mistake was at the goalline right before halftime. He stared down boldin and if you watch the replay, Fitz was open and noone thought to tackle james harrison. I would have risked career ending injury to get that mofo out of bounds, I mean it was the superbowl

    A large portion of America will never know the importance of seeing a friendly face bag your groceries, then earn an NFL MVP. He is frankly just one of us, but so much more. The components of greatness are not on a linear scale, but the aggregate factors of preparation, support, conditioning, skill, and other circumstances where natural leaders are enabled to create something out of nothing. Thanks for the inspiration and resilience Kurt. You should have went to College Community instead of Xavier, but us Cedar Rapidians still think of you as a role model regardless. Keep making us proud and congrats on the hall of fame! You made us care about Missouri lol

    He was the most fun quarterback to watch. His short quick slant passes were nearly impossible to defend against plus he has an accurate deep ball. He brought that fast paced arena style football to the NFL and defenses were not ready for it. We hadn’t had that entertaining of a QB until Patrick Mahommes. So many NFL teams must have been sorry to not draft him when they had the chance. Wish he would have played longer and not retired so early. I think he had at least 3-5 more years of solid play left.
