May not be the greatest QB, but not many QB's can say that they revived two franchises.
I say that Kurt warner is as good as any qb who has ever played the game but injuries and the fact that warner started his career when he was 27 and what he did was amazing no qb not even brady would be able to revive two franchises like that and he made two francises actual contenders
Juan Ayala making it to 3 Super Bowls with 2 different teams and winning one isn't too shabby. Tell me what guys playing now besides Brady has been to 3? Warner was a true bad ass, I wish he played two more years and stayed healthy.

I'm glad Kurt is a Hall of Famer. He really exemplifies what a Hall of Famer is. It is hard to see the Cardinals get to where they did without him.

Despite a shorter than average career, I still put him in the top 10 of all time and at his peak, a top 5. That first season with the Rams was the most unbelievable season I've ever seen. It was like the arm of God Himself was throwing the ball for the Rams that year. Most accurate QB I've ever seen. I'm a Patriots fan but a large part of me wanted Kurt and the Rams to win that Super Bowl. And they should've.

Kurt Warner, Larry Fitzgerald and a few others were getting tired of carrying the team; against all odds, wow! Kurt was a Christian competitor who WOULD not ever give up; ever. One of the best of all time and a godly family man at the same time.

They deserved it. Fitzgerald all but won the game for them. I still don't think Holmes got that foot down. He might have touched blades of grass but he didn't touch the GROUND.

To this day that Super Bowl loss still haunts me. But even though we lost, we gained respect. Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgerald turned the franchise around. Growing up sometimes being embarrassed to be a Cardinals fan, I couldnt think of a better prize for getting 2nd place, feeling pride. From that season on that pride only grows stronger. No matter if the Cardinals ever win a championship, Kurt, you made me feel like a champion.
The Cardinals went 9-7 that year and put up one hell of a fight against the Steelers in the Super Bowl. In fact, if I remember carefully, the Cardinals led the Steelers 23-20 with less than a minute left in the game.
As a Panthers fan, I totally understand where you're coming from. Delhomme was kind of the same way. We shared the same fate as you guys in 2004. Kurt was an incredible person and I wished nothing more than for that outcome of that super bowl to change. Unfortunately, that's life.
It really became just wanting Fitz to win one. I hate that hes been such a class act, such an amazing Cardinal, and we failed him

he looked pretty bad in NY, but he got back up and accepted the 2nd Fiddle in AZ, then Leinart couldn't produce.
I still curse the Rams franchise for dumping him because of his thumb injury. I have never rooted for them ever since. I hope that franchise continues to lose in the most miserable of ways. What they did to Warner was atrocious. They thought a two-time MVP was a fluke and they thought Marc Bulger would lead them to the promised land.

@@cacornhusker2940 NY was winning with Warner, he barely got any time though. Then they switched to Eli Manning and the team collapsed. They didn't give Warner the time of day. If they actually tailored an offense for him, they would have been better.
Warner had nothing in NY and the team was still winning. They shafted him 100%. He proved it when he went to Arizona. The guy was still elite, he was just coming back from the injuries and NY treated him like a scrub.
I, a die hard Rams fan, die hard Kurt Warner fan, never ever gave up on Kurt, and have YET to forgive the Rams for giving up on him!!! No matter what Mike Martz ever says when he talks about Kurt, he never truly wanted him, and looked for the first reason to ditch him... never respected Martz for that.
That run with the cardinals is what put Kurt in the hall of fame. Warner is such a class act the perfect example of a great teammate and one of the most accurate and toughest qbs ever. Also one of the absolute greatest playoff qbs ever. Warner always took it up a notch in postseason.

Kurt was my classmate and friend at UNI. He was always the most intelligent, most friendly and most sincere guy around. We chatted for hours sometimes, each talking about his dreams. His materialized; mine didn't. But I am very proud of having known him, and I just wish we could reconnect. I wonder if he still remembers me.
I'm a steelers fan and Kurt makes me want me to wish he would have beat us. My favorite quarterback of all time.

Warner is among the greatest quarterbacks of all time, but more importantly, he is among an even more elite class of men characterized by exceptional kindness and integrity.

I despised Kurt Warner for beating my Titans in Super Bowl XXXIV, but sometimes you gotta separate the logo they’re fighting under from the player. Much respect to this dude for his toughness, leadership, and play-making abilities.

Kurt Warner’s story has got to be the most inspirational story in sports about how he went from the bottom of the mountain to the top, falling back down to the bottom and climbing back up again.

man this was one of the best career comebacks of all time. warner was DONE, and he still found a way to come back and lead a new team to the SB.
He was never done, it's just he had a bad hand injury and everyone used it to say, "This two-time MVP must be a fluke." A guy doesn't win two NFL MVPs as a fluke. What happened to him in the league is despicable. He went on to prove everyone wrong, once again.
I first saw Kurt Warner on the Oprah Winfrey show after his run with the St. Louis Rams and the Greatest Show on Turf. Listening to him, his story, and the adversity he faced through every stage of his life and career made me a fan. What made me a disciple was his run with the Cardinals. Kurt Warner is a tremendous Quarterback and an even more tremendous human being. If you need a role model for your sons, you can’t find a better one anywhere.
This guy is a legend in St. Louis. Always will be.

Kurt Warner richly deserves the HOF induction he got last year. He took the freaking Cardinals to the super bowl. Not only that, They came very close to winning it. IF not for some ridiculous catch by Santonio Holmes, they win the thing.

The Rams had won couple of titles before football got big and made it in the 1979 season where they lost to the Steelers. The Warner era was their best but they had some relevance before, just that it was far between.
Haven't the Cardinals turned into a playoff contender since he left? They seem to be relevant now.

What an unreal story. His Rams story was incredible enough then after it all, he has one last act and completely resurrects Arizona and makes them a real contender.

I love Kurt. He's the reason im a Rams fan till this day. What a great story.
Warner had a key trait, which was grit. With lineman at his feet and knowing he was about to be slammed by a 300 pound lineman, he would still be focusing on getting the ball to the a target. Even when he missed and got pummeled over and over, he still would stare the onslaught in the face.
The cardinals didn’t have strong offensive line, which as a QB, can bring some nerves to light, as your prob gonna have many breaking through and slamming you down. But he still found the target.
He took the Cardinals from nothing to the final arena. That’s the only stat that really matters at the end of the day for the TEAM.
Man I was really rooting for him. They came so close to doing it. And on a 9-7 team too!
Winners don’t always win, but they never give up. Kurt never gave up no matter how many times people had written him off. His character, perseverance, and integrity makes him a true hero.

Kurt Warner is one of the greatest QBs of all time. If you think about the talent surrounding him compared to some of the other guys considered to be the best, he had remarkable results with what he had to work with. Being from AZ I’m bias without a doubt, but in my mind he IS the greatest of all time! And he’s an even better human being.
Kurt is a class act man. All around great guy, so unfortunate he never got a ring. For anyone who likes to read I would definitely recommend his books. Fantastic

But I'd trade that Rams win to have my Cardinals back. I felt your pain on that Harrison run back and that catch to end the game.

I got choked up when they read the letter from his son Zach.....I'm a Titans fan but ive never been more invested in a team other than my own than i was that year with the Cardinals....i wanted Kurt to win that superbowl so badly.....i mean he went from baggin grocery to goin beastmode at QB at the highest level.....he may not be the best player ever or the most talented but he definitely had the biggest heart or was all heart when he played....what an underdog story.....he is the best QB ive ever seen at anticipation type throws and timing type offense.....thats what made "Greatest Show On Turf" so deadly and almost unbeatable because Kurt was a master at throwin the ball before Isaac Bruce or Holt would break on their route....he threw it where they were gonna be.

My all time favorite player 💞 first super bowl I saw at age 9 vs the titans when this game vs the Steelers happened I had stopped following football for a while since I moved back from the U.S to my home country Nicaragua I could not believe my eyes my favorite player was doing the things he and the Cardinals did on that playoff run to the super bowl. I had the privilege of meeting Kurt while I was working at Opryland Hotel as a Banquet server in 2007. out of all the tables that we had to wait on during the Aarons Event, I was blessed to get Kurt's table. I was able to chat with Him for a bit before the event started. what an honor it was. He was so friendly to me.
He's a classy Hall of Famer. And a good enough quarterback that can will his way through his life as well as the game.

Mn guy here.. Kurt beat us in the playoffs and I remember watchin replays in slo mo of throws he made to receivers and they were absolutely in-defendable. Perfect throws which just killed us. I wish we had won but was glad to see Kurt win. He is a great guy and what a story..

Theres just something about Arizona that makes it so special. Maybe the beautiful sunsets or the cool weather on a winter night or seeing all the lights come on when the city becomes alive. I called it that year when the Cardinals went to the Superbowl im calling it again this year I love Dallas but I think the Cardinals will make it to the NFC championship this year.
As a long-time Steelers fan, that Super Bowl was the only time in my life I've been conflicted about rooting for my team. I remember wishing there was some way for both teams to win, because Kurt definitely deserved another ring, and thinking this is the one time I wouldn't feel that bad if we lost a playoff game. I rooted more for the Cards than the Steelers the next year, hoping Kurt would get one more shot.

Being from cedar rapids we always love the hometown hero,but it wasn't until I married my wife and she told me about the time that she served Kurt and Brenda at the cedar rapids country club and the kindness and respect that he showed that I really realized how down to earth and genuine he really is. Success on all levels exemplified
I was going for the Cardinals in that Super Bowl, and I was upset that they were so close to winning it but came up short, but there was still a lot for that team to be proud of that year. Especially after all the hell that team went through before 2008. Nobody thought they would be in the playoffs that year. And when they got to the playoffs nobody thought they would go far. Though they didn't get the job done, it was an incredible season for the Cardinals that year

They were throwing like crazy all season long. In the playoff suddenly the started power running with James and playing tough defense. Intercepted Ryan 2x sacked him 3x Destroyed Jake Delhome intercepting him 5x he was never the same. Fierce battle won against the eagles staving off a furious Mcnabb comeback. Nearly beat the Steelers.
Almost the greatest underdog story of all time
I'm a Miami Dolphins fan. Have been since 1970. There are a lot of players to chose from over the years from that franchise, but Kurt Warner is my all time favorite football player. His story from where he came, who he married and who he is made it an easy choice. A class act on and off the field...bar none. And, yes, he is my brother in Christ.
