I have the previous model. I fully agree that it is a very comfortable bike and great for touring, I've done 16000 km in 12 months. The weight is low down which makes it easy to control at slow speeds but still stable on the Autobahns, and it feels much less than it's 248kg. Many people complain about lack of shaft drive, but in 12 months the chain has only needed adjustment twice, one of which was at the first service at 1000km. Having had problems with both shaft driven bikes in the past I'm very pleased with the chain drive. Roll on summer and another 16000km of touring.
Got the previous model, too. Agree with your comments 100%. I did 12'000 in 12 months. Never had any problems with the chain. Even though I am also driving in winter when the streets carry salt. Good lubrification of the chain is recommended, though.
I was a die hard shaft drive owner for decades. Now chains have technology such as X rings and they are so good that shaft drive does not have such a big advantage.
It's very close to the RT, but I think a lot cheaper. Also lightweight compared to gold wing and heavy cruisers. If I was to buy a new bike today I would consider it - for mostly touring and commuting.
@@MrJkfamilyguy59 The NT is MUCH lighter and more suitable for tighter stuff. The 'Wing is all about higher speed stability and comfort/isolation at speed. The linkage fork and far-ahead-of-you front end, is not confidence inspiring anywhere truly tight and/or crowded. OTOH, wind protection on the 'Wing is better, it's more comfortable still, and that 1800cc 6 is a pure gem. The NT is sort of a midpoint between the commuter NC750 and the 'Wing. It's one of the most all around useful bikes on sale from anyone.
Basically Africa Twin Adventure Sport ES with stock panniers, 20.4L tank (vs 24.8L) and 17" front and rear wheel (vs 18" Rear and 19"Front). Apart from the colors and general look, it can't be a bad bike. Good review, could have made a comparison to AT and differences to draw parallels between the two.
I have the NT from 2023. Yes, connecting the smartphone via cable, sucks. There are wireless adapters on the market, why doesn't Honda adapt a system like that? I confess that I still haven't memorized half of the 17 buttons on the handlebars, which is a problem at night. If they were backlit... However, I love the bike!
@@thekiwiguyusa I just saw an article that they will be releasing a NT1100 model for police departments in the US, not for civilians. Is that what you heard also?
One more fantastic video from 1000PS🙏
Nothing less to expect.
Thanks guys 👌

I call it a poor man's Goldwing. If Honda sold it in the United States I would buy one.
@@MrJkfamilyguy59I would as well.

I just ordered mine for a delivery to the start of the Season!
Beautiful bike I wish will go on sell in US
Love it. great review. Honda! Send. It. To. The. US!!!!!
Electronic suspension only on the DCT model, bah, I don't want DCT, put the electronic suspension on the regular shift machine as well!
I heard on very good authority via Honda Japan, that it’s coming to the US in May!
I heard the same thing. I'm def going to get the blue one fully loaded. They are going to sell a lot of these in the states.

1010? It’s an 1100?? Or am I wrong.? It does look good…
Now you say that I German
If they’d swapped out the CFR1100 for the CB1000 Hornet engine, Honda would’ve given the NT1100 lineup a proper beating heart.

I wish it had a shaft drive and it would be perfect.
Looks like large nc 750 . Hope it comes to South Africa.
NT1010? The front portion is like the X-ADV
It’s x adv 1100
I would choose the ATES HRC
My problem with the previous model were the vibrations that i had on my hands that i couldn't solve, they were getting numb after 40min.
I agree with you and i also don't like the front and rear suspension.it is not comfortable
20 mm risers are fine nothing to lengthen or adjust.
No everything is were it used to be just moved bars up and but risers in.
After 12,000 miles all is well.
No pinching or bending off my clutch cable.
Will this bike be available in the US?
Not yet, if ever
Next year (2025)
May 2025 is what Honda told me
May of 2025

It’s one thousand one hundred actually.
I wish Honda would release this bike in the US!!!!😡
“One thousand and Ten”....
More electronics is something not desirable IMHO. More to go wrong.
What a boring bike, scooter 😂
Never ridden one then?
