Wow, the Long Time Gone quilt is absolutely gorgeous!!! 🪡🧵✂️💕
I love the fabrics you choose. Give yourself grace….the videos will happen when they can and we will be happy to watch then.
Beautiful beautiful quilts! I’m loving your progress updates!!
Laura, I am glad to see you are feeling better. Your quilting just takes my breath away! You are such a talented quilter! Love the barnyard animals… the cows are my favorite! Hope you continue to recover! Your joy in your crafts is so inspiring! I am trying to learn applique so I would love to see your progress on the Buttermilk Basin project! Be well and happy crafting!😊
So glad you're back and feeling well! All your quilts are beautiful but, love your new star quilt! You are such a talented quilter!
Love your quilts. Happy and scrappy. Jen King well and Elizabeth Hartmann. Both fabulous. Happy sewing
Oh my gosh! My jaw dropped when I saw your Long Time Gone. Just sat here mouth open. LOVE it
❤️
Love all your quilt top/blocks you are working on. Glad to see you are healing well
So glad you seem to be recuperating well, wishing you well, keep that smile going, and keep on stitching so you can continue to share with us!
I so enjoy your quilting shares!!! 🌻🌻🌻
I love that toy goats are eating!!!
You are such an inspiration, you have a great eye for colour. Love your Long time gone quilt it will be exquisite especially with the fabric you choose. Actually I love all your quilt blocks, enjoy seeing your progress.
You are so organized and detailed and it shows in how accurately pieced your blocks turn out. I love your fabric choices for the various projects and can’t wait to see the finished tops. Well done! Those project bags are going to be lovely, and useful for upcoming starts! I also enjoy making and using vinyl front project bags.
Beautiful projects. The critters are adorable
I love your quilting! I’ll have to go back and be enabled by your Elizabeth Hartman patterns - that’s totally the kind of quilting I enjoy! Your batik quilt is stunning as well! 😍 Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! They are really fun and engaging to sew. Let me know which ones you choose! 😊
Really Like the Fab Farm quilt and the perri quilt great color of fabric
Your Jen Kingwell quilt is on my list of must dos. I love it in batiks!
I just love your spirit…..and your videos. Stay well……..❤️🇨🇦❤️
Love your cows and I agree that Brown is so perfect instead of the black
Thanks Laura, you are so inspiring! 🤗
WOW X 1,000! You are amazing! I absolutely love the quilts that you are making…not only the patterns are quality, but your concerted choice of material is exceptional! I want to go back and look at your previous 4! I am working on a quilt that combines embroidery of Appalachian Barns surrounded by quilting. You inspired me to ramp up the colors for my blocks! I’m soo glad you are feeling better! You are a joy and I love your personality and creative genius!
Awe, thank you. Your quilt sounds like it will be beautiful!! I love the combination of embroidery and quilting- enjoy!! 😊
Love your quilt. .gorgeous!!! You should be very proud of it!!😊
Happy Stitching 🤗🌻❤!!!
Love aller your projects. Really like how you’ve mixed and matched prints for the barnyard.
I struggle to move beyond a group of solids or a curated bundle but I love scrappy quilts. So to see all your beautiful works in progress was educational in how to mix/match/play and enjoy the beautiful fabric stash
Everything you do looks amazing! Thanks for sharing.
An enjoyable video. Watching while piecing blocks for a Bonnie Hunter quilt. Love your projects especially Long Time Gone. Love your choice for the sashing boarder. Thanks
The shire music. Lovely.
The goats are so cute but the cows are my favorite! Too cute! I think I am going to have to get that pattern.
Love everything you showed!
Oh YAY! That quilt is Awesome!! I’m also working on the animal quilt, well let’s say I have the pattern and fabrics collected. Now to start cutting.
I love your videos and your cheerful personality! I struggle with cross stitch due to my old eyes, but I recently bought stronger readers just for cross stitching. 🤗 I too have multiple curated quilt projects. I store them in bins so I have a visual reminder. In the past I would write plans on whichever notebook was handy, but recently bought one just for my quilting/sewing projects. You have inspired me with your organizational skills!
That is excellent! 😊 💕
Love your t-shirt. And oh! Love the intro music.
Oh my goodness girl! You have me taking notes wanting to make everything you are! I just love all your choices and your sewing skills are amazing. Maybe you could do a tutorial showing how you sew and get such precision pieces. Such talent! So glad you are doing well after surgery. 😊
Thanks for making my day!
Karen
Thank you, you are very kind! Perhaps one of these days I will. 😊 Happy stitching!
Your projects are stunning!!
I love the cows
Look at you go!! Quilt-arama! Ok. Oh my Gosh! If/when I start a quilting hobby/journey, my first "square" (is that what you say??) will be that GOAT! Gahhhh! Soooo cute! One of each - eating and not eating 😅
😂💕 Happy accidents!
lala i love ALL of your projects. Thanks you for sharing . You have a new subscriber.
Great quilt projects.
Happy to see you. Oh my that cow is super cute. I'm making notes today. Your my favorite person. Glad to see your recovery is going great. My recovery is going slower than I hoped. But I'm trying to stitch and quilt to keep going. Take care 🎉
Thank you so much! I am sending healing thoughts your way. 🤗
Todos bellos trabajos..!! Felicidades🎉❤
The Rainbow quilt will be stunning. Never saw anything like it before. Fall begins September 23 this year. I always have my house and porch decorated by my birthday. I'm having a heart procedure the 22nd so I'm going to have to decorate early this year...
Best wishes and all the healing energy to you with your upcoming surgery!! I am glad you are decorating before so it will be festive as you heal. 🤗
That cow is so cute!
Thank you!
I love all your videos. Your quilting is incredible. I love your farm quilt. I just put it in my basket when I saw yours again. I’m wondering if one of your goats has his eyes upside down? I cannot wait to see…*me thinking about my favorite*… all of them completed. ❤ I’m so happy you are beginning to feel better. I hope you continue to heal and have more energy to do the things that bring you joy.
Yeah...it would appear that his eyes are lower......... they may stay that way. 😂 Thank you for the lovely thoughts. 😊
Your long time gone looks spectacular !!!!! I’m working on this pattern….and you have given me new ideas for my sashing and border.
What fun! thank you 😊
Loved all the projects you’re making progress on, but that denim one is gorgeous! Can’t wait to see it all finished. Also, love your shirt. My sister and I are big Ghibli fans and my daughter loves Kiki lol.
Thanks. I agree, Ghibli is so good. It makes my heart full. Couldn't skip the shirt when I came across it!
Such beautiful quilts! I also made the small Fab Farm quilt for my great-granddaughter. She absolutely loves it, and likes to play “I spy” with the front and the back since I backed it with a fabric full of different items that are fun to play the game with too. Your blocks are all so adorable and I definitely know what you mean about there being so many pieces to each block. I might just mention that I noticed that one of your light goats has the block with the eyes upside down in it. It still looks okay that way and I don’t think anyone would notice it if you have not made the quilt, but I wanted to mention it in case it is something you want to change. I think that the two goats with different mouth areas just look like they might be the male goats! So fun.
That is so sweet! Yeah, you and one other noticed the eyes. I had not and am not sure I will change it.... maybe I will... I don't know yet! 😂 This quilt gets more customization by the day. 🤦🏽♀️😊
My goodness you have been busy. I love the little animals they are wonderful. I just finished a panel wall hanging quilt, for my granddaughter went to Home Depot so I can make the apparatus. It will actually hanging on the wall in her bedroom for my son always enjoy your videos just finished the northern Illinois quilt shop hop I made it to woo of the 24th shops. So I hope to be a winner at one or two of the places. Anyway, looking forward to your floss tube. Hope your July goes as you wanted to.
Good luck in your shop hop!! What fun. I always loved summers at the shop, you meet so many lovely people from all around the world. Happy stitching to you.
Loved the goats and the cows 😍🐐🐮 Also, I really liked the fabrics for your projects bags, could you please show them to us when they are done? Looking forward to seeing them, and your new video. Take care 😊🧵🪡
Will do! 😊
Pretty shirt. Great tutorial. Loved seeing so much beautiful piecing! I wanted to let you know I was in the hospital with serious diabetes issues. I will probably have a toe or more taken off. Not happy about it but the way it is. Prayers appreciated. 🐓🐓❤️❤️🦮
Oh no! I am so sorry to hear that- you will be in my thoughts for sure. 🤗
Oh my goodness, you are so talented! The Jen Kingwell quilt is amazing! Your enthusiasm is totally understandable- and shared! You also validated the reason for the stash we love to build. That “someday” is here feeling is so worth it.
I'm dying to see your next video. I've been looking for your post every day for the last week cause I love you so much. I took your suggestion and looked up Kelly at quilter's corner and love her stuff too. You both have different vibes. Hers is bright and colorful (for example the gypsy girls) and yours is a little more subdued. Not all of them though. Your pierre quilt is pretty bright and beautiful. Bright seems to be my go to but have done a few not wo bright quilts. Can't wait to see your Aug/Sept video!
I’m in awe of your progress on such complex projects. I’ve watched your cross stitching videos, but will go back soon to see your quilting ones. Enjoy! Looking forward to seeing your continued progress.
I just found you right before your surgery and have waiting breathlessly for quilting bee #5. I was so pleased to see it here today and got such a kick out of it. Your productivity leaves me amazed. I've done about 6 quilts this year and only work on one at a time. You give such great commentary and I love looking at your quilt blocks. Also your laugh brightens my day. Thank you for the time you put into your videos, for being so pleasant and not taking yourself too seriously. I hope you continue to recover in a timely fashion and can't wait to see your next quilting bee.
Thank you so much!! 🤗
Your projects are truly exceptional. I love them all.
Glad you are doing well.
I'm looking forward to your next Quilting bee. I'm not a cross stittcher..
I love your videos both quilting and cross stitch. Your such an inspiration. Your quilts are beautiful and you have an amazing eye for color!
Just found your page and love what you’re working on. I want to do the long time gone and do it in batik’s like what you’re doing. I also do cross stitch but until I get my cataracts removed cross stitch is on the side lines. Lol
So happy for another Quilty episode!
Lots of progress! The farm animals are so stinking cute. The quilts are all looking gorgeous
Wow those were all such impressive projects. I hadn’t heard of Elizabeth Hartman so thank you!
Glad to see you’re feeling better. Great video, as always! I can’t believe how much you have gotten accomplished 😀 Great job!
Thanks Laurel! I fear the productivity train has left me! Haha- I did so well the first few days and am off the tracks now- oh well- it will come back. Maybe tomorrow? 🙃
Such lovely projects! I really love the barn yard animals. Can't wait to see those chickens :D
You are such an inspiration!! Such an eye for color! Makes me finally want to get back up to my studio. Thank you
Another great video! I’m also working on Long Time Gone and ran into the same problem with the pineapples. I thought it was just me and my lack of experience so I’m grateful for the tip of cutting the last round larger.
Yeah- that was just an error in the pattern. I find most of her patterns are written for experienced quilters, even when correct. I don't love her any less as a designer- just try to pass the word on. haha. What is your color scheme? I love seeing how different these quilts come out...
Colour scheme…you assume I plan anything haha. It’s totally random, although my Trip Around the World block is rainbow 🌈. Since I’m new to quilting, I didn’t have a ton of scraps to pull from, but I’m definitely acquiring more as I go. I’ll try to remember to show off some of my completed blocks on my next Flosstube.
omg those goats and cows are soo cute! i'm a cross stitcher who just got into quilting and you are such a great quilter!
Hi, I am new to your channel and am loving all of the quilting show and tell! You have inspired me to get back to some of my ufo quilt projects. I love your designer highlights too. I live about 90 min south of Pioneer Quilts. I love that shop and was impressed to see your 2 sample blocks you made from them. I am guessing you live in Washington or Oregon? Just wanted to say hi and thank you for such fun episodes. Valerie
Welcome, thanks for watching! I am in Washington currently, I miss Oregon, but it is lovely here too. Happy stitching!! 😊
Wow, what an inspiration you are! And you have quite the fabric stash - must be from when you were the manager of the quilt shop! That Japanese indigo fabric is absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to see that quilt top! I am finishing up a quilt top from the book Simply Half Yards by It’s Sew Emma. It’s 80 1/2” x 80 1/2”. I had to move the furniture in our living room so that I could put the blocks on the floor to determine their placement. Just wondering how you are able to do the same - I see that you have a design wall in the background but it doesn’t seem large enough for your big quilts. Really enjoyed this video and glad you are feeling better! Happy stitching/quilting! ❤
I am with you on moving the furniture! That is definitely what I do also. I make many of my quilts on the larger side so my tall hubby can wrap up well in them- pinning them for quilting is always a big job! Our last place had a long island in the kitchen and that was PERFECT for pinning... I will miss that. 😂 Happy quilting to you too! 😊
That Denim and Lace quilt is looking great! I would ❤ if you would “take us along” with you for the next quilt you start/kit up. It would be so fun 😊
I can do that, it is always fun to talk about color and plans. 😊
Love your shirt!
Those goats are adorable. I've wanted to do one of her patterns forever, the Dino's are my #1 choice.
Do you have any special way you store/keep scraps? Like I know some people cut scraps down to have readily available common sizes, 2.5x2.5, 5x5, etc.?
Those Denim & Lace blocks are stunning!
Oh the Dinos are adorable- maybe my niece will be into them down the road. That would be fun. I don't cut my scraps down to specific sizes, I certainly considered it at one point, but my quilts tend to be so scrappy that size requirements aren't consistent. It just didn't seem to fit. I did have really small scraps in a box for a while, but I always forgot to check it! 😂 So I have giant clear totes in my closet by color. I separate my batiks and have one holiday box. Otherwise it is a mash up of sizes and prints. 🙃
I really think you picked a really good backround for the farm quilt.
Thanks! I am really liking the way everything pops off of it. 😊
First time I’ve seen you. Wonderful video! Love your denim & lace! Am slowly gathering some Elizabeth Hartman critter patterns . They are all adorable. Got excited about the Jen Kingwell flower blocks & immediately started looking for pattern . Can’t find it. Help!
It is "Meadow" By Michelle McKillop- part of the Jen Kingwell Collective. 😊
💜☮️
15:22 I think the light one’s eyes were accidentally sewn down too low … BUT it makes her look more like a baby deer than a goat which is cuter I think… so they’ll definitely all have different personalities as well as eating/not eating 🤗🤗🤗
Yeah- customization is strong in this quilt it would seem 😂🐐🤗
Im a new viewer, glad to have found your channel. I was wondering if you use triangle paper when piecing your Pierre quilt?? Thank you
You probably could do so, I just pieced mine traditionally. 😊
Ok I want your t shirt or the iron on a t! Please
I got it at Hot Topic. 😊
Hi there! What is the background gray fabric on the Fab Farm quilt? Glad you are feeling better😊
It is Dear Setlla Design #STELLA-DRR2293 😊
@@LaladeeStitches thank you!
What’s up with the Sasquatch embroidery on the wall? My first time here. We’re squatchy here, southern Indiana. Just wondering
I'm squatchy here too!! It was a gift from a dear friend. I have no pattern info unfortunately .
