I had almost chose MG Zs EV. But at last moment to nexon ev max and I am happy with the decision , saved ₹7 lakhs. Completed already with 1500 kms in city traffic. And the in comparison I feel nexon ev max to be better.
For people saying MG is a Chinese brand , so let's buy Tata. The battery pack and the electric motor of tata EVs are also made by Chinese companies. So just go for the one that best suits your budget and use
I think one of the factors to consider regarding these EV is reliability when we hear the news of battery related mishaps. Nexon EV is the most selling model in EVs (30000+) and hence proved itself over a period of time.
i calculated cost of 1km range for both cars by dividing price by range and MG gets 7373/- while Nexon gets 7233. So both are almost equal in this regard. I would like to see more options in India, maybe 15-20 EV's more.
I'm sorry but why would anyone buy the nexon max if you have to sacrifice the rear seat seating position ( knees up ) for the rear seat of a 5 seater suv. In my opinion the only time you're sacrificing passenger seating postion is when you're in the market for a 7 seater, where the 3rd row has a knees up seating position in most vehicles. That makes sense of course because it's the third row in a car that already has a decent 2nd row. Tata has made a mistake with giving the Nexon Max more range in exchange for worse seating comfort. I'd go for the standard Nexon anyday.
the NEXON EV could do with a proper 4WD & a twin motor arrangement . . . a 63.2 kWh battery pack is very much needed in the NEXON EV . . . the twin motor will come in handy especially when going uphill as in this test . . . same can be requested of the MG ZS EV as well . . .
Excellent video and comparison. I personally like the MG ZS EV and i prefer it over the Nexon EV. zs ev looks so much premium and offers a great claimed range.
Great comparison review finally. Both are excellent cars in their own segments. One vfm and one luxury. Both are going for different set of buyers. By same logic you are paying 6L between the max & tigor ev for xtra 40kms. Anyways, these cars are miles ahead in performance n safety compared to the Korean ice tincans.
Don't go the top variant for MG, Elite version which is roughly close to 23L on road. By paying 2.5L extra compare to top variant Nexon EV, u will get better range and comfort, not to forget the premium of MG
Sunroof is actually needed in cold countries for getting good amount of sunlight in cold wheathers.... For more light inside cabin... In a country like india where summers are 45 degrees and rains hard in monsoon... Its actually a gimmick more than a use....
To make kids pop out their head through the sunroof and put them right in the line of danger. Thats the only use that some ignorant parents are finding of it.😂
Will it be cheaper to run an hybrid or an EV , maybe we can expect a video on that , say Tata Nexon vs New Brezza ? or the MG ZS EV vs Honda city BHEV . What do you say autocar?
I am experienced EV user... believe me. Evs aren't worth the hype. 1. Slow charging... takes hours. 2. Battery-as the weather gets colder so does the range. U will cry. 3. Battery- use sporty n other non economic modes...kill ur range. Will regret. 4. Battery- drive at night, you will be using all lights etc... kills the range again. 5. Charging Stations... they aren't just enough... if u run out of battery..just give up.
I have a strange question. I hope to get one (though the waiting list is enormous. In Thailand where I live, the MG ZS EV is a connected car which I don't like. I have some chats with people on this and the question now is where the antennas for this are because I want to be able to disconnect them. Any idea?
Don't forget that even though MG MOTOR is a British automotive company owned by SAIC- a Chinese Company. If I were given a choice, I'd pick Tata Motors any day even over Maruti Suzuki.
@@Viveksinghbhadoriya99 I know that its a Chinese automobile manufacturer. But if you compare with MG, It offers the better and value for money at same price
Both back seats look uncomfortable. The charging port on the zs at the front is so jarring. Interior is a clear win for the mg. But in the end it comes to range and pricing , given performance is similar
Can someone confirm is it safe to drive ev cars in banglore - flooded area? Wondering As like other fuel cars is ev also wont kick start if it stuck in water flooded places. #banglore_flood #evcars
When I first saw this MG on road I felt some cheap rider has modified the front grill. My personal opinion that I dont like the front grill. Feels like someone has got it done aftermarket. Over that a hefty price tag it comes with. A big NO for me.
MG EV line of products are sold with popularity in EU markets like UK, Norway, etc., as well as in many South East Asia countries. Thus the background fact is its huge volume of annual procurement of parts and batteries, globally. But honestly, not many markets/countries heard about or purchase Tata Nexon outside Indian domestic market.

Congratulations on the buy 😍 What is the on road price??

if you just want to drive within city limits
i think nexon ev is a better value than nexon ev max
U should try including a short drag race between cars in ur comparison vids
Yes
If you have the budget for the ZS EV just go for it... nothing better than it.

What is the battery cost once the existing battery depletes after shelf life
That 80kms difference is alot when you plan highways and makes it a significantly better choice also considering better cabin space and comfort
Paying 6 lack extra for more 80km range is deal breaker
The ZS looks so much better! And yeah, an extra of 80km does matter.
Excellent video and comparison. I personally like the MG ZS EV and i prefer it over the Nexon EV. zs ev looks so much premium and offers a great claimed range.
The bad thing about the zs ev is that red closed grill and electric badge
I searched for this comparison just last week luckily the review come this week.
you should compare MG ZS Ev base model which is around 20L with nexon ev max.
Tata tigor ev with a 40.5 kWh battery capacity would be my pick.
Very well done guys... Great content... Thank you
I don't know someone noticed that or not
Nexon is more stable in high speed
But zs not stable it's jumping
Oddly the Nexon front seats seem undersized with the shoulders left hanging near the head rest while the ZS EV seems to have a proper sized seat.
MG ZS ev is a europe spec car and i dont think Nexon meets the quality standard of ZS.

Autocar always does it first ❤️
I really appreciate the work. Can you guys do a long trip version of EVs together for better comparison.
Nexon EV max 🔥
Can anyone explain what is the use of sunroof? ( Other than aesthetics)
Sunroof is actually needed in cold countries for getting good amount of sunlight in cold wheathers.... For more light inside cabin...
In a country like india where summers are 45 degrees and rains hard in monsoon... Its actually a gimmick more than a use....
Helps heat up the car in cold countries..
And india, Is definitely not a cold country
To make kids pop out their head through the sunroof and put them right in the line of danger. Thats the only use that some ignorant parents are finding of it.😂
indian buyer love to get fooled and then whine about it on inernet
Will it be cheaper to run an hybrid or an EV , maybe we can expect a video on that , say Tata Nexon vs New Brezza ? or the MG ZS EV vs Honda city BHEV .
What do you say autocar?
The company should include a solar roof to top-up the battery. That would be great 👍
Nexon exterior and MG interior....🤩

I can’t trust Tata with reliability of the Max after what we have seen with standard Nexon EV
ZS EV is the choice for me
Hehehe that also unrealiable 😂😂😂😂
Don't judge tata brand by seeing one failed product
@@maneeshgowda4836 tata has a lot of failed products over the years
@@maneeshgowda4836 Yes I am not judging the brand but Nexon EV Max is based on Nexon EV only
Can you do the comparison with the facelift same versions, please. Thank you
Love my MG ZS EV.
Nexon feels very old and outdated. MG is right from the future.
Batman also looks OLD and OUTDATED.🥱😴

It would be a superb idea to have a review of the lucid air which has a range of 800kms just to compare Indian tech to foreign technology

New look of MG Grill look Yakkk
It's like "what mouth?" moment of blackbolt ⚡ from Doctor Strange MoM 😶
When will you guys make a sedan comparision including Virtus, Slavia and City?
No need of comparison no one will go for zs ev spending 8 lakhs more .
Can someone confirm is it safe to drive ev cars in banglore - flooded area? Wondering As like other fuel cars is ev also wont kick start if it stuck in water flooded places. #banglore_flood #evcars
Which car is best to buy?
Waiting for this video for months
I have test driven both the cars and i feel Nexon ev max is more fun to drive then ZS ev
Best comparison 👍
Don't even compare nexon to mg zs. No match both in terms of performance and quality
Everyone:VW polo has the worst back seat ever!
TATA: are you sure about that?
Nexon looks stunning, like a mini Range Rover. ZS on the other hand looks ugly and like a cross version of hatchback.
Mg is 6.5 lakh rs costlier .... tata is value for money ....
I recently have driven both zs and nexon...and surely nexon has better 2nd row space and seating comfort than zs..
Im not an EV fan but still among these I'll choose MG ZS
MG ZS EV strongly stands against Nexon EV max,
it offers everything better than EV Max.
Y the number plates are in Red ?? for EV's it should've been Green right ?
Good comparison
What is mg zs ev battery pack
Autocar is evolving!
Not top choices but I think the only choices respective of the price segment

You need to do reviews with full car .people drive with family
Waiting for alcazar ev model
For city and town tigor is still economicaly wise

MG FOR THE WIN ❤️❤️❤️❤️
you seriously were not paying attention
Another day another car
Soon there will be a clash between MG and Tata fans
TATA definitely leader
What is the range with 5 average adult passengers and a full boot of luggage with clothes?
and going uphill with speed of 120 km/hr and towing
Why number plate is red?
MG ZS EV on outside looks more like tesla model X but yk that meme 'copy my homework but dont make it obvious'
Be #Indian Buy #Indian 🇮🇳
Those blue elements on Nexon are a bit gaudy
No doubt nexon ev is value for money. But nexon design team must change the back of the nexon. It looks ugly..
It's not Tata vs MG, it's India vs China
other things aside main thing abt price diff is taxes mg is 4.3m nexon is 3.9m long so taxes are ~~15%more on zs
Tata should bring harrier size EV
Tata is the best 🚀
MG is not big as TATA, and is not going anywhere, so I'm with TATA
India Tata Nexon EV 🙌🏻
I am waiting for harrier ev
EV Max Anyday
I should have buyed MG ZX EV ,
I like Nexon's look better
Why NEXON EVmax range is very low compare to claimed range i was expecting more than 300+ km range from EVmax
Most important, Nexon is an Indian Car
TATA Nexon 🇮🇳🔥
From the video one can easily infer the nexon is more stable than zs.
EV sales will pickup when the range goes to 1000+ KM
Tata 👋👋MG. Btw did Tata copied the alloy wheels from Hyundai i20 ??? 🤔🤔🤔🤔They are exactly the same 1:32
MG ZS ev 👍🏻
Winner winner chicken dinner!
Nexon is value for money
Mg zx i like
Tata 🔥
nexon ev is right choice...
ev is just a transitioning phase tech, not worth it, rather focus on ethanol or hydrogen which is more feasible for our tropical country
MG looks more premium
No comparison required. Go for Indian.
