      24 lakhs means that much features and range . ( 16 lakhs = 200 km ) == (24 lakhs = 300 km ) . In this I said mg zs ev is better than all . For 8 lakhs 100km is range now 100,200,300 Kms = 8,16,24 lakhs . Now you compare all three are same of price .

      Don't worry these are already built on state of the art tech. Motors are not getting efficient (would take 10-15 years for twice the efficiency even with AI controls) and the tesla are yet to produce their 4000 series batteries and would take 3 years for it to reach Indian roads. By this time its already 5 years for these cars. And these would hold 80% capacity after 8-10 years. Also there is close to no maintanance for these cars, if you drive enough, they will become cheaper than even diesel cars. Still these cars are for city drivers, long drives with ease would take another 10 years for common car.

    Excellent shoot-out! With petrol above 100 rupees and rumoured to hit 150 in future and with diesel prices also closing in on petrol prices, EV makes most sense today, if you drive mostly in city. Less parts, super-silent, faster acceleration. What's not to like? Between the trio, you have rightly chosen Nexon EV as the best. Others are not worth the extra 8 to 9 lakhs they demand, considering what they offer over Nexon. Between the other two, I would chose MG. MG is faster, has better range, better ground clearance (though not as tall as Nexon) has more space and that airy panoramic sunroof.
    Best thing about EV is, they are more efficient in city-traffic than on highway, as opposed to conventional fuel cars. Economy cannot be overlooked. It costs 10 to 12 rupees per KM in a mid-size petrol diesel SUV or sedan. EVs cost 90 paise to 1 rupee per KM. There is just no comparison.

      160000 km warranty on battery.... That's more than enough for average user cycle of first hand ownership of the vehicle..... It'd cost you "Nill" till you do such kind of mileage....
      For heavy usage, if everyday someone commutes for roughly 100 km, monthly mileage becomes 3000 km, hence an annual mileage of say roughly 40000 km (keeping roughly 10% extra over monthly average)..... That's heavy usage for you.... And this kind of usage also gives you 4 years of service life within warranty..... While normally people roughly do exactly half the mileage overall.... Hence more than 7 years can easily be churned out while the company is providing a cap of maximum 8 years.....

    • @Saurabh.P
      @Saurabh.P 3 года назад

      1. Battery pack is composed of many smaller battery cells. Not complete battery pack will get dead at once instead few cells will get dead. So you don't replace whole battery at once.
      2. It costs Rs.~1/Km for EV and consider petrol costs Rs. 100/ltr which equals Rs. ~6/km for ICE. The warranty is 8 years, so do the calculation for cost of ownership accordingly (in case you consider ICE cheaper than EV).
      3. By the 8 years time we most likely to have much advanced and cheaper battery tech. So it is much likely the old battery will be replaced with new tech.
      4. The magnetic motors are way longer durable than ICE engines, so less likely to require large maintenance bills over the period of at least 10 years or so.
      5. The resell value of any car is anyway a bad deal in all cars over 10 years

Whereas Car batteries need to last longer and need to get more cycles of charging..... Hence super fast charging, generating much more heat isn't a viable solution as it reduces the longevity of the cells..... He's not complaining about the warranty and all such stuff....

    Sorry to say this but it's utterly stupid to focus on pure electric vehicles. The best way is to go for hybrids. Electric drive for city use and ICE engine for highway trips. Imagine if CNG vehicles didn't have petrol backup. These cars should have only 20kwh battery which means 120-140 km. more than enough for city commute.
    That's what will make them best..

    I own the MG ZS in Israel for 2 months now.
    Range is really adequate for such a small country.
    I haven't really gone over 250km between charges, and the times I reached that figure, 50km were left on the range meter, with the first battery warning so the real world range is correct.
    I only charged it at home on 7.3kw AC charger. it takes about 5.5 hours at most from 20% to full, then a few more hours to equalize the batteries.
    I switched from a 2009 Lexus RX450h and I must say I'm quite surprised at the quality and comfort.
    The biggest gripe I have so far is the lack of UV reflective coating on the windows. The sun is harsh and it feels like an oven in the car, even with AC on full.
    If you plan on buying one, UV tint is a must.
    I wish Tata would sell the Nexon here, but unfortunately without active safety systems it won't pass government certification.
    Hyundai don't really sell the Kona yet either.

    EVs have higher city range not because of regen, while regen does help the bigger factor is Drag . So higher the speed higher the drag and lower the range . One can test this with two different highway speed - 80Km/h and 100Km/h
    Even if u switch off regen the city range will be more than highway

    I bought nexon ev over mg zs ev, as it made more sense for city drive, in of price to km range it gives. I am more than impressed.. nexon zx+ costed me 14.5lacs after delhi govt subsidy scheme and mg zs ev would have been around 22.34lacs base model.. theres a cool 8 lacs diffence..

    Not a Tata fan but that's very impressive. Good job.👍

    The range shown in 10:26 is only for metro cities and long plain highways....... The case is tottaly different when you come to hilly region like Himachal because the best regen is given by tata nexon while downhills.

    It was good comparison but only one thing was missing if you just add EV's per km cost comparison with fuel vehicles in same segment and 2nd thing was missing complete savings between EV vs fuel vehicles in same segment. So it will help buyer to understand which one is more cost effective.

    I m still thinking, how would these cars perform in Hilly roads(elevated terrain) and Off-roads? Would they keep up?
    Bcoz sometimes petrol cars struggle a bit driving upwards on an elevated roads in mountainous towns.

  • @dileepkumarreddym5490

    Nexon EV is one of the highly sold electric vehicle in the country currently and with this same swag, Tata should bring a larger(4.2-4.4m) SUV with a range of atleast 450-500kms priced at 23 - 26 lakhs. If this happens, I think there's a clear and balanced winner for Tata in the bigger and more VFM segment in the electric arena. A point to be noted however is that charging stations and fast charging options must be considered by the company in order to let more customers in.

    • @anoopcanu
      @anoopcanu 3 года назад

      Company's need to add below cars driving moments need recharge battery pack . Back wheels need to produce current . always free back side wheels so they installed this system it will effect more milage below vechile otherwise this type EV vechiles we need to waite more time for recharging the battery's. This is my suggestion only I don't it's can do same time any way we need to think differently because of Petrol,Deseal, price is very high and Current also price going high.
