LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this unit! It's in the lead so far for our choice's! I love to cook and this kitchen is perfect for me!!! Plus family can be sitting around, hanging out while I'm doing so and all will be seated comfortably!!!! A 60x80 Queen bed,...everything is just right for us!!!!! The shoe storage inside the door, perfect! The pantry, awesome! Excellent couple's camper and I still love dark color's myself,...just a personal choice :) Can't wait to go look in person!

They're a brand that inspires a LOT of loyalty -- which says a lot considering the rarity of loyalty in the RV business.

Nice trailer! FR made a good change on the lighter interior colors. The exterior graphics also won’t look dated for a decade,. There’s some people online that are trashing the new colors, but I feel they look modern and give the interior a bigger look

We bought one of these and we can not complain the floor plan works well for us. Looking at the quality of other manufacturers the Rockwood 2608bs really stood out for the price range.

Not a fan of shades. Love our day/night. We bought this fornthe bedroom floor for our Rottweiler. We reinforced bottom drawers. If you don't they will not hold much. Always get 2nd ac! Thanks for video. Very happy with this rig.

Awesome interior colors! Rock wood is doing it right. The thought just hit me while looking at the bedroom, switching the mattress would be super easy due to the bedroom door. After doing this in my current camper, you look for little details like that. Overall, Rockwood nailed it. Great couples camper.
True on the easy swap mattress. Only thing I see that could be a problem is since the mattress goes below the wardrobe when the slide is closed it would limit how thick a replacement mattress could be. Nice rig we have owned a RW UL for 3 years love it
What an awesome travel trailer!
We've been knocking around the idea of getting a camper for the 2 of us and looking at lots of models. We just haven't found a floorplan that knocks our socks off. This is the best I've seen! If it could have the outdoor kitchen of the Coachmen 259FKDS it would be a perfect setup. With the bigger fridge option, no carpet and no floor vents (hoping that's in the updated one) and I would drive up to see and you and get one and take a nap and a crap on the way back to Texas!

I definitely second that outdoor kitchen on this model and 2516s mini light. It does look like if you take the bottom half of the storage closet space in the bedroom it seems it would be possible. Also there is more stand-up floor space in front of the bed comparing to the 259fkds Coachman due to the Rockwood having a deeper slide

Not much of a travel trailer person - BUT, this has to be one of the best - if not the best travel trailers in this class.

I like the addition if the dinette to the super slide. But I think the bad trade off is the bathroom. They should have left the bath of the 2516s floor plan and just added a few feet in length for the super slide. You don't need that extra door to get into the bedroom from the inside. Just walk through the bath. We understand the added sleeping means more people, therefore more people in the bath so less access to bedroom. Would be nice as an option though.

we just bought this 2021 model with the solar panel. can't wait to use in july. having fun decorating it. will be seeing the lake out of the big front window. it checked off all of our wish list except i wish most trailers would insert better one piece showers with a seat.

Maybe we're "old school", but we enjoy the carpet...and so do the dogs. If we traveled with kids maybe not, but we even ordered our 2614BS with full bedroom carpet! The 'all vinyl look' to us looks like a camper from the 70's. And that floppy piece of vinyl at the slides? No thanks. Our puppy would have a field day with that. Thank you, Josh, for our first look at the "new" 2021. Looks like our order is gonna be changed as the maplewood is gone.

This is a fantastic little trailer. I'm pretty sure we could tow this with our 1500. We have installed rear active suspension and run an equalizer hitch system. I wish there were more true 1/2 ton towable 5th wheels, but this is just as good.

I think I have found my floor plan. The only think I would like better is a "U" shaped dinette.
Questions: 1. Is there a floor plan similar with the U dinners? 2. Can you put 18 inch wheels on the trailer?
*SOFA:* You won't find a layout like this under 30ft with a U-Dinette + sofa as that would add enough length to stretch it past 30ft -- a magic mark for builders and buyers
It's possible to theoretically exist around 31-32ft, but I'm not aware of anyone building that at this time.
*18 INCH WHEELS:* I don't believe this is possible on almost any tandem axle RV as factory engineered as the tires wouldn't clear one another with the existing suspension mounting points.
The Rockwood 2608BS is a great floor plan. I think it would be better with a square sink. I may come out to Haylett RV to get my own camper. Great videos.

I wish more smaller campers had a bedroom slide. We got 2 big dogs and need room in there.
Rockwood has a few more smaller bed slide models coming. One as small as 26ft. We're super excited to see it!
If I read it correctly, the tongue weight is about 930 lbs. that doesn’t leave much room if you pull it with a half-ton. By the time you add fuel and passengers you’re over the weight rating of most halfTons.

The Rockwood website has this trailer hitch weight at 946 lbs. at nearly 30ft that is not a safe margin for a half ton.
Is there a reason the fire extinguisher is down so low the toddlers can play with it? Not that they would touch it off, but I would like to see it hung up higher on the wall (my nitpicking). It would be nice if the oven was dual regular/convection. Why don't they have a showermizer on the kitchen faucet too. I can see not having it on the sink in the bathroom, since when the hot water hits the shower, not much will be lost by turning on the sink faucet and waiting a cpl seconds. The kitchen may be a long run too though.

It has two which seems to work for some of those bigger heavier bottles my wife likes to use. I suppose it’s all in what you like to bring

Me too. I assumed it was so they could handle 2 smaller pieces of counter top vs 1 big one in manufacture.
Another annoyance is the 4”- 5” of space between the overhead cabinet w micro and the ones above the front window. Prob for the same reason. It might be big enough to make a 3 bottle wine holder. Will see, mine is due later in Sept.
Love this one except for those heat vents so poorly placed in floor in living room and bedroom. Makes it look cheap and they stick out like a sore thumb. Plus it negates the option to have a rug. Hopefully this changes.

I could skip the back door and have a larger closet. We camp in the mountains and would like more storage for jackets and boots.
I have this unit, and it is trash. Trash materials, Trash manufacturing. My unit has been in the shop 6 times and it’s not even a year old.
1. First, front kitchen tank, huge hole in it, underbelly not damaged so it was there when they put it in. It was replaced.
2. Two days after getting it back, the inverter went out. It was replaced.
3. Their cheap blinds, one replaced and one needs to be replaced.
4. Drawer replaced
5. Fridge was pulling from gas when it was plugged in. They said it was a fuse, a day after I picked it up, it was back because it wasn’t the fuse, it was the heating element, so another trip.
6. Stabilizer motor went out and now it’s back in the shop again.
I have had to replace several minor items myself besides what I mentioned. I am very very unhappy with Rockwood.
By the way, the front kitchen is nice and spacious but dumping is a challenge because you have a tank not connected to the gray tank in the back so you have to crawl under the front slide or bring in your slide every time you dump. Terrible design, not thought out. I bought it because I like the front kitchen but they could have connected it to the large gray tank in the back to make it easier to dump.
This trailer has been a nightmare and I’m really thinking about selling it.
I would not recommend this trailer or Rockwood (Forrest River) at all.

This 2021 model with the stone interior is now at the top of our list to purchase when we're ready. Love the amazing kitchen. There are several things I like better on this one compared to the Freedom Express 259FKDS which we were also considering, including the queen bed which provides a lot more room in the bedroom, the larger oven, the larger awning, slide awnings, dual entry and the power stabilizer jacks. However I wish this one had all of the hookups in one spot like the 259FKDS (between the slides). Are they all scattered in different spots on this model? Also, I didn't see a battery kill switch anywhere - is it difficult to install one if there isn't one already installed? Thanks for your amazingly informative videos!
Disconnect switch standard on Rockwoods for 4 or 5 years. Usually mounted up by the battery whenever possible (which makes sense).
Thanks for the link to this video. I like this one very much but I would look at changed the bathroom so that the full size shower like the one on the 8263 is included and if I had to I would put the shower on one side and the sink and toilet on the other and the walkway between them.

Thanks for the video with the updates. I am about a year away from contacting your team and getting the purchase process started. As a note after reading the other comments. I like having carpet for the slides. I have seen the vinyl flooring curl. My house has floor vents, no problem for me. Question: With 12v fridge and solar, does the converter/charger have the lithium profile? I would purchase with 2 battleborn batteries.
Lithium Capable converter, yes. Selector switch or something like that.

I agree, the floor vents in the middle of the floor caught my eye right away, not in a good way.
I agree on the floor vents. What a difference a few years makes. Not so long ago it was the norm and no one would have given them a second look.
Watch Josh's video on floor vs cabinet vents. Very enlightening, and helps one understand why Rockwood does it this way.
I totally love this, but wanted to know can they make a two bedroom Murphy beds? I was thinking to minimize space to keep the kitchen large and living room? With a bathtub shower bathroom I realize it might have to be a bit bigger but still have the feel of a large apartment and keep dining table into a bed and the reclining sofa. And love the pantry for sure.
Maybe in theory but it's not something the factory will do at this time

I wish they would move to carpetless slides. Carpet in a camper is almost as bad as carpet in an 80's bathroom, just full of nasty stuff after a week. If this had the carpetless slides like the Coachmen 259FKDS, it would be unbeatable!

One final question? My only concern about the 2608bs. I don’t like the dinette table booth set up , rather have the free standing table chairs is that a option, I can get , or is that a special order ,that you have to pay extra for? Other then that. It’s a great model to have. ..
Table and chairs is a readily available option! It's not much more than the standard booth setup on a personal build

They could have rearranged that bathroom to allow for passthrough in travel mode. Would be able to lose the second door and rearrange the storage beside fireplace to where the second door was. Otherwise, beautiful trailer!

Uncle Josh I recently saw walkthrough videos of the Rockwood 2614bs and 2613 bs rv’s and as expected they have have stoves, bathrooms and beds - have you made any videos on these units ? So I can get some actual info on these of designs.
I haven’t been able to YET but frankly any time I get a chance to record a Rockwood/Flagstaff, then I’m going to do it

Hey Josh, thanks for sharing so much of your knowledge with us. I recently purchased a 2020 Rockwood 2608bs. I was wondering if it also has the LCI one control system like this 2021? Is this something you might know?
I don't believe that was part of the 2021 generation. It's hard remembering what all these campers do NOW... then trying to remember what they did and WHEN? Woof! My memory isn't quite THAT Good! LOL :)

This is a model that teeters on that line where the answer most definitely requires examining the capability of the specific truck in question. Could go either way
I really love the kitchen/living area, but I would prefer the bed turned north south instead of East-West to have a through storage underneath the bed / end tables.
That is the trick with bed slides -- hard to put storage under them. TY for watching and sharing :)
Hey Uncle Josh I was wondering if you can get the main ac with the heat pump in it so you would have 16500btu electric heat,along with the electric fireplace heater? An I like it that you won't get spritzed when it rains going out either door. In the bedroom how big of a tv can you put in there. Leonard Nelson from NC your number one fan!! I also like watching your videos because no matter what kind of day I'm having you make me laugh with your jokes an singing.
I will have to see what they’ll be offering for 2023’s. To my knowledge they aren’t offering that from the factory yet but it could be an aftermarket swap (for a cost of course)
Why not include a better pantry on this model so you could keep the coat closet and use it for additional storage as well but, a pantry can easily be installed on the left side of the window cap on the front from ceiling to floor in a perfect spot??
You'd have to ask Rockwood that one. I can only estimate they wanted to keep a pantry travel accessible due to the common demand for features like that

Josh - I would love to see a comparison with this Rockwood Ultra Lite with a Jayco White Hawk, presuming you think they are similar enough. I really like your comparison videos as my research into what type of RV we want to get is quickly overwhelming.... Working to narrow it down.

Every day I roll in I have to remind myself we're still selling stuff faster than it rolls in. Nearly 100 sales this month despite only having 60 in stock at the start of the month.
I've not seen one until now, but I am a new fan of this floorplan. Rockwood doing Rockwood things. What kind of vehicle would be sufficient at towing this?
Proper half ton would be sufficient. obviously 1/2 ton specs can vary. Some will be fine. Some will not. We always check on a per-customer basis to ensure safety before the sale!!

I love this floor plan more than most out there except for the door to the bedroom. I understand why it’s designed this way, but personally, I like a more secure feeling (no outdoor easy access) when it comes to where I sleep. I’d like to know if there is something very close in the 2022 models without the door to the bedroom. We will be in the market in the fall of 2022 as we will be able to trade in our truck for a 3/4 or 1 ton then. I’m just trying to put in our due diligence for our perfect RV and watch your videos regularly. Hopefully, by then, we’ll be able to find exactly what we need and want. I’ve learned a lot from your videos and want to thank you so much for posting! When we are able, we’ll definitely come to you for our TT or 5th Wheel!

Sorry -- could you clarify? There's no such options package available on the Rockwood Ultralite series.
