I own the 2608 and have had it for 3 years. It is very well built and has been great for us. Rockwood quality is outstanding in my opinion. We have over 22,000 miles on it in 3 years so have I been very impressed.
We have this trailer. Great couples camper. Very good quality with solid surface counter tops and porcelain commode. Also has extras like step assist on the steps. You can pick them up with one finger. Screen shot on the screens for automatic return. Huge outdoor kitchen. Bedroom air with heat. So many things to mention. Tows great due to torsion axles. Bigger bedroom than a lot of 5th wheels. Been a great trailer for us.
The moment Josh said he didn’t like this, I KNEW he would be getting a call 😡 from HR, LOL! It’s okay Josh 🤓, I like it enough for both of us! ❤💙 At a recent RV show, I was shocked to find that every single RV that I said “I would love this…” was in the 30’ range. Honestly, this is my favorite couples trailer this year. Only thing I would do is rip out the dinette and make a reading nook. It's going on the top of the list.
Kitchens with limited counter space can be ok if adjacent to the dinette so you can use the table for food prep. But we cook outside most of the time so the generous outdoor kitchen is a huge plus. Big door gap on bath door is unnecessary and reduces sound privacy. On the plus side I love the calm colors and finishes-makes the space very pleasing
We have this model 2022, we love it! I bought a cutting board top for the top of the stove, it has a gripper bottom. It gives a nice surface if you're not using the stove top. We cook mostly outside. This is our first Travel Trailer, we love it!
Thanks Josh! You make some very good points and I think you gave a fair assessment of this RV. It's very similar to my 2022 2614bs..... just a few cosmetic changes. What I like most about my unit are the spacious bedroom, the walk-in shower, and the outdoor kitchen. I wish there were more outside storage and the interior cupboard space seems somewhat disjointed to me, but it works. The limited prep space in the rear kitchen doesn't bother me at all. The fit, finish, and decor are flawless and I haven't had a single problem with it despite its being a "Covid camper." I got a really good deal on mine; maybe because it wasn't attractive to a lot of people because of the limited sleeping space (mine has a freestanding table and theater seats). I camp alone so my wants are probably very different from what most people want. I couldn't be happier with the quality of this RV. There's an RV out there for everyone and this one is for me! 😊
We love this layout. Pros - Outdoor Kitchen, Bed slide making room to dress in bedroom, the length fits into national parks, Aluminum framing, Rockwood Quality, solar package, axles, goodyear tires, TPMS included, slam lock outside latches, Large awning, Large window on the front of camper, I could go on. Cons - Dead space under bath countertop (could become extra drawer storage in bedroom), Bathroom door could be a barndoor which would give better access from bedroom, windows on camp side. Noteable - Kitchen counter space okay as there is an outdoor kitchen, but additional counter space could be made via a drop down extension .
We've owned our 2023 2614BS for a little over a year now. This is a great couples camper and once you get the storage figured out and do few upgrades, it's hard to beat for the amount of features it offers in a sub 30' trailer. Sure, I could buy a 45 ' 5th wheel that checks all the boxes but I don't want a trailer that big.
Ohhhh I like this Rockwood very much Josh! Camp kitchen, bed slide, right in your face entertainment for rainy days 😂. The fridge door opens both ways which is a plus when next to the entry door for easy grab of a barley pop! Agree no camp side windows but poop side windows can work when they face the Great lakes! Outside storage is limited as well as kitchen prep space but dinette table can take care of that! No sink in camp kitchen but at least spray port is right next to it and mostly in the middle of the camper under the awning. Hopefully my camper will come with the updated hinges/struts for the vertical opening cabinets. I opted for a later build when I discovered Rockwood was putting them back in. All in all I really like this camper😊.
I like it. I'd option out the dinette for a free standing table and chairs so I could put a sturdy standing desk in there with a work chair. The free standing table could easily be moved to provide more prep space if you were going to town in the kitchen.
With the cuddle compliant theater seating and “optional” residential table and chairs that allows you to move around the chairs when you occasionally have guests on a cold rainy day or evening this would make a great couple’s camper👍👍👍
Hi Josh! This is a nice Rv. The counter space is doable. Glad they put in a pantry. And drawers for utensils. I like that there’s a bedroom closet but not sure of tv placement. Like the loungers to watch tv. Bathroom is a good size and the shower too! Thank you Josh! I like this one.
I own this trailer a 2021 model. I agree with most of what Josh said except the potty being cramped. I'm 6'1' 220 and never noticed it. For road use of head, we have put the slide out just about 18" to open the bathroom door and then it is accessible. It is a real trade off the outside kitchen for the counter space, but I wouldn't have a camper without an outside kitchen. If you like or need a lot of counter space inside for cooking this isn't the floor plan for you. I solved the outside storage with a camper shell on the truck also allowing ebikes to stay dry, folded into containers. I wouldn't tow this with a 1/2 ton unless its short range and level just like Josh said.

There are USBs literally everywhere. I never use the ones on the reading lights; they're just not convenient, but no worries -- there are plenty of others.

Like the wardrobe, true queen bed, rectangular shower, big camp kitchen. Inside kitchen, not so much. 2608 is better, except for the bathroom, even though it's a bit heavier. Kind digging the 2515, even with its shortcomings
Kitchen can be ok if you didn’t put the oven in and add those drawer there. Then turn the drawer/storage into a pantry. Bathroom need a women’s touch, turn it 180 degrees, this way if someone walks into the trailer and bathroom door is open, they don’t see you on the toilet. And get rid of that door! Put a pocket door in, this way you might be able to use it in travel mode. If you’re going to put a camp cooking outside and near an entry door, have the door open that direction, that way you can hand food back and forth without leaving prep area.
There is a lot to like in this RV. In general, the living area is nicely laid out and quite usable. Lots of natural light. The toilet is too tight. And the bedroom just doesn’t look right but it’s very useful overall. I like how the bed is arranged. It a good sloppy weather layout unit. But at the end of the day I pass on this one. Reason? This is a trailer you park and set up before you use it. That is not my style. I don’t want to spend any time in set up and break down. I want to stop, and open the door and walk in and do whatever I want or need to do, with no fussing around. I would refer to this as the clumsy awkward brother of the family.
Smell my taco farts Mark! I like this one. Agree with another poster I’d like this with a pass thru bathroom, realizing it adds length. I’d selfishly give up some drawers for a bedroom fireplace.
The fit and finish on this level of Rockwood, is visual. It's what you don't see that will get you. The faces on the cabinetry are fine. But the sidewalls and interior divider panels are nothing more than 1/16th inch veneer. These are areas that will quickly manifest problems after a few months of travel. I recently saw detachments on the interior divider panels just from the delivery process to the dealers. Probably as a direct result of Rd. vibrations caused by poorly designed suspension systems on the RV. Of course, poorly designed suspension systems are inherent to all RV's. That's why companies like Morryde exist. But overall for a camper that should be obtainable for around 40K it will be OK for weekend excursions or week long vacations. I don't believe I would take it out for any longer than that unless you are experienced with RV repair.
The tv is placed weirdly,\glad to hear that a table and chairs is an option (booth looks uncomfortable), the toilet seems to be NOT fluffy-friendly (but neither is my present b-room), but the absoute deal breaker is the lack of bathroom access when in road mode! That is one of the reasons why I'm looking to replace my present RV. only I have to wit til I'm not upside down.......
Leave the armrest on theatre's seat.how long is the table when laid down to bed? Rather have the arm room around toilet than counter space. Don't like not getting to bathroom in travel mode.
IMHO if the bathroom can't be accessed from either door in road mode, I don't see the point of the bedroom entry door. Why not put a washer/dryer there even if you have to use a Camp queen mattress for needed room.
@@JoshtheRVNerd @JoshtheRVNerd Or a combo unit on the floor with an escape window above it. I regularly sleep on a full size mattress so a camp queen is never a problem for me even though I am 5'10"
Don't like the dinnett and theater locations. I realize the lavy location dictates their positioning. Buy if your going to have such little galley counter space, your table becomes counter space, should be in the galley location. And, not a fan of front windshields on a towable RV. When in a bedroom, it takes up valuable hanging storage space. Generally when in the sleeper area, you're sleeping, or dressing. So windows are covered anyway. As for light, there's normally, if east, west bed, there's 3 other windows. Lacks cabinet space in galley. Positive; fireplace, ie electric heating. Extra counter in Lavy sink made room for trash can under.
Maybe one of the only RWs I've seen that (like Josh), I don't like. The camp kitchen is cool, but I think the end result is the inside kitchen suffers as a result. I could also be wrong but is that a cheap plastic toilet? If so, WTH Rockwood, put a nicer toilet in a camper this nice and expensive.
I sure wish Rockwood would offer folding steps instead of just stable steps. I have to agree with Josh, quality brand but this model is a no-go for me. The kitchen, bathroom and road mode are frankly pretty terrible for my tastes.

I really like it....except for the lack of room around the toilet. Otherwise, I think it's great.
Awesome Ty!

Don't care for travel access.. but I'd buy any RV over a "Grande deception "
Bathroom diffidently has place for a wastehbasket :)
👍🏻
Why is the dinning a table closer to the bed . It should be beside the sink. The sofa should be in that area. Other then that I love it .
What is getting me is the table and couch should be swapped.
I could see that yeah
The best way to describe "ANY" RV suspension is "CRAP". This is the industries # 1 or #2 problem.
So it's good enough for the Maxell tape guy, but not good enough for you??? Man!! 😂
How cold is it in Michigan in JUNE??
lol it was recorded a while back
@@JoshtheRVNerd 😂😂😂
Words are hard! 😂😂
Sometimes they are.. apparently
I agree with the layout. I don't care for it either
But I like it! 😂
Ty for sharing. I get what they were doing. Just doesn’t play out for me
Need microwave changed to air fryer/oven and put where oven is. This gives you an extra cabinet in kitchen.
I agree but man a lot of people revolt vs that idea

Struts on doors get in the way
The tv is placed weirdly,\glad to hear that a table and chairs is an option (booth looks uncomfortable), the toilet seems to be NOT fluffy-friendly (but neither is my present b-room), but the absoute deal breaker is the lack of bathroom access when in road mode! That is one of the reasons why I'm looking to replace my present RV. only I have to wit til I'm not upside down.......
I don't understand why floor ducts cant go WITH the grain of the floor. They would be far less noticeable.

Leave the armrest on theatre's seat.how long is the table when laid down to bed? Rather have the arm room around toilet than counter space. Don't like not getting to bathroom in travel mode.
Apologies I don’t have individual furniture sizing from Rockwood
Dinette is maybe 60ish” though?
@@JoshtheRVNerd thankyou
IMHO if the bathroom can't be accessed from either door in road mode, I don't see the point of the bedroom entry door. Why not put a washer/dryer there even if you have to use a Camp queen mattress for needed room.
It might be a fire code thing. I’m not sure
@@JoshtheRVNerd @JoshtheRVNerd Or a combo unit on the floor with an escape window above it. I regularly sleep on a full size mattress so a camp queen is never a problem for me even though I am 5'10"
For the algorithm
And this is the response-orithim. 😊
Ty Greg!
Someone else kinda said the same thing actually. Ty

Seems like folks who don’t care about the inside kitchen like this one
I sure wish Rockwood would offer folding steps instead of just stable steps. I have to agree with Josh, quality brand but this model is a no-go for me. The kitchen, bathroom and road mode are frankly pretty terrible for my tastes.
Fair enough. Ty
More counter space in the Bathroom then the kitchen! It's got some good things & bad things, but I'd have to pass on this one.
Ty for the feedback!
Very few can get a floorplan right.. This one isn't right either.
if they would knock6 to 8 feet off of this and 1700 to 2000 pounds off it...I think it would fit us just fine..if the price was right.
Sounds like you been wanting to put your pineapple flag out again 😏😂
😂
My Outdoors RV has a rear kitchen like this one, have to say, I don't love it.
Sorry to hear that but appreciate you sharing. What do you dislike specifically about it?
You call that side stands? Come on.
Lose the dinette and it is very nice!
No, I wouldn't buy this one. The first problem was the counter space. The potty position was the kicker.
I think cougars 25fkd might be a good fit for you
If it doesn't have bunks he doesn't like it lol.....I hate bunk models
Who’s that?
Went to Bishs in Meridian Idaho to look at buying a Travel trailer and boy they didn’t live up to my expectations from watching your videos.. Typical freakin salesman bs.. Needless to say I’ll be buying from someone else.. Too bad you weren’t there..
