@Angela H Thanks for watching! Some quick answers for you: *SWAP BATH SINK:* No, not from the factory. Unlike housing RVs are built like a cookie cutter without the ability to personalize small items in that way. *KITCHEN SINK* See above *CHASSIS:* It's an LCI I-Beam frame -- not a Norco huck bolted chassis *ROOFING:* Rockwood uses TPO currently. They've bounced between different things. The roof skins are not something upon which I personally focus. They all outlast things like the seals which are the "lowest common denominator." What's *under* the skin is far more important in that area.
I’ve never commented before but I have to stop in and just say how helpful this channel is!!! We literally never could have made such an informed decision about buying our camper without this channel. And since we are on our 3rd camper in 4 years, we wanted to get it right! If I didn’t live way down in Arkansas we would have bought from Haylett just to show our appreciation! I send all my friends and family to this channel any time they are interested in buying a camper because the options are overwhelming but Josh does a great job breaking it all down for us. Thank you so much Haylett RV! Keep up the good work!
Well please keep them coming! While I would definitely love a shot at working with you from our family's store EVERYBODY is welcome here. Please share your thoughts and experiences as an owner!

I love that kitchen and living space, perfect for couples, and that slide in the bedroom really opens that up for some great storage. For being just under 26 foot, this camper looks and feels about 5 to 10 feet bigger inside.
I was initially sad that we've lost the "lighted puppet show behind the curtain " capability with this rig. But, it looks like you can do it if you put up the tension rod and curtain for the outside shower. I'm sure the neighbors would love it!! Great video, Josh. Thank you for highlighting this rig. You are correct; there are really a ton of pluses with this rig!

That little cubby hole on the outside is where the fishing poles would go. Looks like it would hold a lot of them. I like the fact that they left the dining table out. It makes for other improvements. Great video as usual. Thanks again.
Great review, Josh. You had me at "It's here". So many positive features: Under 26', Huge kitchen counter space, pantry at the entry door, 12 volt compressor fridge, solar & inverter, fireplace, big bathroom, more wardrobe & drawer space than many 5th wheels. For me, only a couple of nit picky negatives; no place for kitchen trash without doing shelf surgery under the sink, and it looked like two waste water drains (behind the rear wheel & under the fridge slide). Overall, many more good things than bad. Looks like a winner!
They did great with this, would be perfect for couples camping in national and/or provincial Parks cause the size and the solar package helps to save on powered lots and generators (unless you want to use the AC) Lol my beer comment 😂
That really is a nice floorplan and options like the 12v fridge, solar, inverter, & TPMS. If this was around 2 yrs ago when I bought my GD Imagine 2250RK im sure this wouldve taken the win.
This might be my new favorite Rockwood. A little concerned about weight, but I can upgrade my tow vehicle. The ones I'm thinking about a 7,000 tow capacity, and after loaded with water and gear, it's going to be close. I understand why you are giddy as a school girl about this model. Poor baby, all filming in the cold. I live in Texas and we just received a real dose of what your area goes through on the regular. Props to you, Josh!!!👏🏿👏🏿👏🏽👏🏽👏👏👏🏻👏🏾👏🏾👏🏻👏👏🏿👏🏽
Really liked this unit when I first saw it on the FR website. A few concerns for us. Love the front window, but disliked the lack of windows on the door side of the trailer. We were concerned about the weight and towing with our Tundra. We also really wanted a dinette, but it was not available. Only the freestanding table and chairs. Not practical for us and lacked the additional storage. We ended up buying the 2205s for several reasons. It can be ordered with the dinette, full-size queen bed, has a fireplace (when plugged in), a sizeable side-facing kitchen window which really is the front living area of the RV, and large front storage which was a huge plus for us and our weekend travel needs. I also like the lighter weight and shorter length for getting into national and state parks. But I think it was the lack of dinette that killed it for us. Add that option FR and we might have purchased this model instead. Try eating on the reclining chairs? Very uncomfortable, and all that great floor space is used up by a folding table. The table incidentally, gets in your way when trying to walk through the trailer or get up out of the chairs. We may be in the minority, but we hate the lounge chairs. We are hikers and backpackers and want to use the trailer for a base camp to explore our natural wilderness areas. Not much for watching TV. On the plus side, FR is finally offering roof-mounted solar panels. If they could now get on the bandwagon to provide a decent 2000W inverter, multiple solar panel options, and lithium batteries? The 2205s would also benefit from a built-in generator compartment. Plenty of room for one. And a slightly larger freshwater tank for dry camping. One other unanswerable concern with the 2516s. Would it benefit from having two AC units, not just one? Not sure where would be the best location for a single zone thermostat in such a compartmentalized unit? Final comment. I absolutely love your videos. And by the way, your love for the industry really comes through. Eric
That’s cool that Rockwood makes such a range of styles. I love the 2509s layout better for our family of four. Nice to be able to eat in on a cold out rainy day. Love the Murphy bed to not waste space. I would love that larger fridge. Like the Goodyear tires!
In 2018 I felt mini lite was one of it not the best in its class The next two years were good, but a lack of light interior and a few other changes left it feeling “off” Suddenly they are DIALED IN like I’ve never seen
By far the best compact I've seen(wouldn't want one smaller)! You're right Josh, they hit it on all points, can't think where they could of done it better. Well done Rockwood! Thanks Josh👍
When you reviewed the Coachmen 252rbs two months ago, I commented it was my new favorite until I see your review on the 2516s. The 252rbs has everything we are wanting. The 2516s is awesome as well. Both models are fully walkable with slides closed. I wish the 2516s had a place for the table next to the outside griddle so you didn't have to walk to the middle of the camper to actually use the table . I guess not enough room for the table next to the griddle. We are a few years away from our purchase and both models are now our favorite. Glad we don't have to make the decision now.
As always, love your enthusiasm, humor, and great information on all the details that women are interested in! You sold me, this is the one! Now to convince the hubby! Thank you!🤗
I like this one. Small point, the seating in this model has adjustable lumbar, may want to mention that, great benefit for what some may consider lower quality RV furniture
This is GREAT. I love the color a lot and all the storage, my goodness. Kitchen is so big and in the front, seriously great placement because it puts the bedroom IN the back IN a slide and away from the hustle and bustle. The ONLY thing I am not a fan of is the radius shower. They are not usually fluffy friendly BUT they do get the job done. The rest of the bathroom is incredible, great use of space for storage. I give it a 9.5 out of 10, this is REALLY a great camper, I get why you are so excited.
This thing is amazing! It checks so many boxes, not to mention it's smaller. Josh always does a great job at not only entertaining, but so informative. One thing I noticed was the bathroom door looks like it swings into the bathroom. I was wondering if there was any space for skinny people or a dog to make it back and forth? Wouldn't mind seeing that door open just to see the space available in future videos. Thank you again for all you do!
I love the 2506s but hated not bathroom access. This solves that plus gives me the full length queen bed. My only concern is that once you load up propane and batteries along with all the heavy stuff that gets loaded into the kitchen and refrigerator, I will bet you that this trailer has over 1000 pounds on the hitch. You might counteract some of that if you carry a bunch of clothes in the back bedroom, but generally when I go camping it’s just basic clothing.
Great brand of tires for sure. Cool that the Nightstands are like that, instead of hanging all over the bed. Good looking Frameless Windows too. Good one, thanks.
If you do manage to find one in person that's available, then you'll likely want to jump on it. I don't expect this unit to be sitting on a lot available anywhere for very long. If it gives you an idea of how excited people were to see it the RV in this specific video was being pulled out of our driveway sold literally as I was publishing the video Our folks at 800-256-5196 are always happy to quote something out for you any time as well :)
We are narrowed down to 2 models to select from -- this beauty or the Cougar 22MLS. I am leaning to the Rockwood and my husband is leaning to the Cougar. I love this layout and the separate space for the bedroom. Husband loves the king bed and he doesn't love the loss of bed space with Rockwood in travel mode. Cougar seems to have a small edge on exterior storage or maybe I'm "thinking" the passthrough is more. I need to see the two in-person to better ascertain. One small issue I have with Rockwood is I wish their showerheads weren't so obviously plastic. In such a nice travel trailer I think it's the one thing that stands out as "cheap". I know I could easily swap that out with a new Showerpic or residential-style, but if you have any pull with Rockwood folks -- put in that plug for me! Seriously though -- between the two we have it narrowed down to I can't lose -- thank you Josh!
Wow bro I've been talking to you for a little while about camper you nailed it the perfect camper I can't believe it's so small but so big at the same time that's insane how they were able to cram all of that in 25 ft I think I'm in love
I think that is a super nice couples camper I really like to feature of this bedroom door to still reach the bathroom the only flaw that I can find in that camper so far is it needs slam latch doors instead of the old style turn locks but that definitely is the best couples camper I have seen so far keep up the good work love the reviews.
Own the Flagstaff 26 super lite big brother to this floor plan. The front kitchen is great. The entry door pantry makes a fantastic coat closet and the bedroom slide!!!, more space than many 5th wheel bedrooms. This model should be a home run, stay in the 1/2 ton tow range with all the amenities. IMO when you step to the super/Ultra Lites at close to 30’ you are in the 3/4 ton towing range. Enjoy your reviews and honest presentations. When we visit Michigan I want to swing by your Dealership
First off, your giddiness is infectious. It is indeed a very nice RV. What I like about it, first and foremost, is rest stop accessibility. I also really like the roomy bathroom, and the sink's size puts a lot of 5th wheels to shame. The kitchen, counter space and storage is 2nd to none. And that wardrobe in the bed room! What I would like to see, since there is no dinette, a flip-out table in the theater seats' armrests, like those on the first row of seats on airplanes. Another thing that I would really like to see, in general on all kinds of RVs, is the option of the traditional folding steps. The MORrydes steps are nice, but I think you'd have to give it a very thorough sweep before stowing lest you get dirt inside the camper. Go job as always, stupid humour and all (I hope you don't mind me borrowing your "salad dressing" joke). Thanks for the great video.
I started out loving this but the biggest thing that I don't love is the fact there isn't accommodation for a cpap machine. The only way you could really use one is to put them in the shelves above the bed. The other thing that I don't love is that the griddle and the prep shelf are so far away, it would have been so much better to put them next to each other. They did a nice job maximizing the outdoor storage space. Would have been even better if they made the area behind the fridge with a larger access panel and then added some shelves there. I do absolutely love the space inside especially the kitchen. Rockwood did a great job with this one.
Winner, winner, chicken dinner! My only knit pick with this unit (and most of the Rockwood line that includes the solar controller) is, 1) The solar controller is "weak sauce". It's a PWM and a MPPT would be so much better (especially with the 12 volt fridge). 2) Even the Go Power manual states that the controller should be mounted, "as close as possible" to the batteries. Virtually every model (perhaps with the exception of the 2205S) mount the controller FAR away from the batteries. Other than that, I want one!
Love the color combo, but you lost me at no dinette! LOL And door #2 for #2? Hilarious! Love the kitchen, but not ready to give up the 2205S at the top of my list (2506S is second). But I can see it for a couple traveling.
Love it - fantastic kitchen and bath. Great reclining seats, lots of storage, Azdell walls, solar, inverter plugs - cool! Would have loved a king size bed.
I think I would like something like this but with a office/craft room not necessarily a bunk room. we don't have to have the dinette we just need lots of kitchen space and storage and lots of bathroom space. Another thing is that it is knee room around the toilet is more important than leg room with legs straight out. We are both on the larger side and want to be comfortable.
Nice trailer! The outside storage seems a little lean, however.. where would be the best place for the "stinky slinky" - certainly not under the bed.. :D And would the WDH and related equipment fit in the front storage area? I could see putting some hooks in there for fishing rods, or foldable chairs... but unsure if the towing hardware would fit in there.
I found the unequalled TT... there are 2 versions. The Rockwood 2902SW and the Flagstaff 29RKSW Why? Massive counter space and you don't have to choose between theater seats and a dinette, because you get all three... theater seats, couch, AND dinette. Unloaded - 7610 lb. We bought the Flagstaff. Very pleased with it.
Almost pulled the trigger on a 2506s last fall until I got wind of this new 2516s. LOTS to love about this floorplan, but I would have rather seen more storage and a rear outside kitchen instead of the 2nd entry door. Love the videos Josh, really appreciate the slide in perspective and your infectious energy... great job!!!
I like this rv, but still it's very important for me to access bathroom and refrigerator next to the entrance door. My wife like to see small dishwasher, and small laundry machine in this floorplan
Love your videos and love this camper, we just order one last weekend. One thing that you didn’t really mention is the fact that anyone can actually walk in front of the bed (that was a big selling point for me) with room for the pets
It is actually shocking how they utilized such a small space...they were able to fit so much with so little compromise. Seriously great lay out and options. I just don't like the light wood color, that's all.
Really like this floorplan. I'm glad the industry is moving away from dinettes. It's just a massive waste of precious space. Now if we just get them to stop mounting the TV so daggum high! The TV should be mounted at least 2 feet lower. Also, if I were designing the bathroom, I'd give up a little sink space to have a bigger shower. I'm a big guy and those "corner" units are a little tight. But this is one of the best I've seen.
A mount that can pivot or slide down a foot or two is all that would be needed to position the TV where it should be. Then it could be stored back up and out of the way of the "fireplace mantle" when not in use.
I agree Josh, this is as near perfect as they get! I’m really exited about a couple things you didn’t mention: the CCC and fresh/grey capacity. Great specs for real world RVing! There are just two things I don’t like: - We haven’t met an RV mattress yet that we like. If we replaced this one we’d have to consider its thickness carefully as it slides directly under the wardrobe. - I LOVE the view from the kitchen, but I’m still not a fan of front windshields. I broke mine from two rock strikes (GeoPro) in the first 6 months. I think the culprit is chip-seal. This is a road resurfacing method used out west & its notorious for breaking windshields. I’m curious if a clear bra film like they use to protect paint would help? . Anyhow, both those items above wouldn’t be deal breakers for me. This rig truly is near perfect!

Would it benefit from having two AC units, not just one? Not sure where would be the best location for a single zone thermostat in such a compartmentalized unit? Final comment. I absolutely love your videos. And by the way, your love for the industry really comes through. Eric
Really appreciate sharing your thoughts and process here
And TY for watching :)
That’s cool that Rockwood makes such a range of styles. I love the 2509s layout better for our family of four. Nice to be able to eat in on a cold out rainy day. Love the Murphy bed to not waste space. I would love that larger fridge. Like the Goodyear tires!
In 2018 I felt mini lite was one of it not the best in its class
The next two years were good, but a lack of light interior and a few other changes left it feeling “off”
Suddenly they are DIALED IN like I’ve never seen
By far the best compact I've seen(wouldn't want one smaller)! You're right Josh, they hit it on all points, can't think where they could of done it better. Well done Rockwood! Thanks Josh👍
Couldn't agree more!
I know! All these companies are really pushing forward right now
As always, love your enthusiasm, humor, and great information on all the details that women are interested in! You sold me, this is the one! Now to convince the hubby! Thank you!🤗
Forgot to ask, is there a table included for dining at the recliner?
TY for watching :)
And yes -- a table is included. I was all pumped on stuff and forgot to display it
I like this one. Small point, the seating in this model has adjustable lumbar, may want to mention that, great benefit for what some may consider lower quality RV furniture
TY!
We purchased this one after watching your video over and over ☺ We pick it up next week! Can't wait! This is an excellent floor plan!
Congratulations!! Mind dropping a quick review for us at www.haylettautoandrv.com/review-us/ in return for the effort??
LOVE LOVE LOVE that interior color scheme! This might be the one we end up going with - I really liked the 2608BS but this is smaller and easier. :D
Wonderful camper. The only real change I’d make would to have auto jacks/leveling. But probably no room. Love your videos, Josh❣️
Power jacks are available. I'm not sure auto leveling would even fit on something this size
LOL JOSH! Keep your nerd job. I like it.
:)
I totally agree!
Yes - see my pinned post. I'm just an idiot. It's a walk-thru bath
@@JoshtheRVNerd Sorry, I should have read the rest of the pinned comment. Thank you for replying tho! Have a great day.
Now Rockwood has just BROKE THE INDUSTRY!!!
I KNOW!!
Thanks 👍
@@JoshtheRVNerd welcome.
I love it. Finally a camper with it all in a smaller package. I love the width. I’m going to start looking for one.
If you do manage to find one in person that's available, then you'll likely want to jump on it. I don't expect this unit to be sitting on a lot available anywhere for very long.
If it gives you an idea of how excited people were to see it the RV in this specific video was being pulled out of our driveway sold literally as I was publishing the video
Our folks at 800-256-5196 are always happy to quote something out for you any time as well :)
Probably the best floorplan I've ever seen for a travel trailer! Awesome design
100% agree. 110 even.
Wow bro I've been talking to you for a little while about camper you nailed it the perfect camper I can't believe it's so small but so big at the same time that's insane how they were able to cram all of that in 25 ft I think I'm in love
Boom. Nailed it.
Other brands will have to up their game to compete with this. Awesome trailer!!
Wow, love this!! Some day we will be looking for a smaller camper with a bedroom slide.
That kitchen is to die for.
I really love the color of the furniture!! Awesome and wow the storage. Wow they killed it !!
Wow! GREAT TRAILER! Without a dinette, where do you eat? Also, can that headboard be changed?? That thing is well worse than diet Dr. Pepper. haha
Includes a portable table for the sofa. I was so JFJSJSHDDBS about the thing I forgot to pull out the table lol
We love watching you, your funny and that is nice considering all of this crazy world right now!😄
Thank you Ariel
I think that is a super nice couples camper I really like to feature of this bedroom door to still reach the bathroom the only flaw that I can find in that camper so far is it needs slam latch doors instead of the old style turn locks but that definitely is the best couples camper I have seen so far keep up the good work love the reviews.
TY Jarad :)
Thanks Josh! Simply awesome! Will be talking soon!
Sounds good!
Would be nice to meet you :)
This is a great layout!!! I think it's perfect for the nice size for easy towing, and sm. Package.
I think so too!
Updated footage for you here btw: ruclips.net/video/D1iyAjT9mp8/видео.html
I think this is the one I've been looking for I only need a camper for 2 people and a dog impossibly the cat too
love this camper
only problem is micro too high up I am short and can see myself getting burnt from spill
Is this model equipped with a second AC Prep in the bedroom like the 2608BS?
N/A on Mini Lites. That's one of the clear lines of division between a Mini and Ultra
CPAP Solution for almost any camper amzn.to/2XQqxDo
Not ideal for everybody, but opens up a lot of options in some models
@@JoshtheRVNerd Nice, that's a great solution.
Josh - you're awesome!! I can see why you're so jazzed about this RV - I am too!
isn't it such a BEAST?
Lol never thought I would want a RV more. Love this page
Wow thank you 😊
Here’s an updated copy of this one

Best...Floorplan...Ever! All though I don’t recall if you mentioned a table to go with the sofa/dinofa.
I failed to mention/display it, but yes -- included
Floating table included with the sofa (just forgot to display it!)
Wish there was a real outdoor kitchen with frig to keep drinks cold as well as grill. Is there room for CPAP next to bed (has to be lower than bed).
I like the input. TY Gina :)
Love the design. The space is great. Feels doable. Ty
Glad you like it! There's also a table included with the theater seat I forgot to display!
Rockwood definitely raised the bar with this floorplan. Josh could not have tried to hide his enthusiasm even if he tried.
Fantastic. I would miss the dinette/ table but this is awesome. WOW.
So in this video I forgot to showcase the table but I remembered here with the updates m.ruclips.net/video/D1iyAjT9mp8/видео.html
The cold is getting to you, homie..... “salad dressing?” To cool!
;)
Loving this one and no dinette makes it practically perfect...I’d need a step stool for the microwave! 😍
Awesome little travel trailer! Josh slow down on the Red Bull😂
IDONTKNOWWHATYOUMEANAFTERONLYSEVENOFTHEMICANSMELLCOLORSOMG
Love it - fantastic kitchen and bath. Great reclining seats, lots of storage, Azdell walls, solar, inverter plugs - cool! Would have loved a king size bed.
I think you'd like this one then! ruclips.net/video/jnMU1UJbUTA/видео.html
Agree with you on the storage issues.
the stinky can fit into the square bumper
@@santabenton5762 - they don’t fit well if they have attached fittings
I found the unequalled TT... there are 2 versions.
The Rockwood 2902SW
and
the Flagstaff 29RKSW
Why? Massive counter space and you don't have to choose between theater seats and a dinette, because you get all three... theater seats, couch, AND dinette.
Unloaded - 7610 lb.
We bought the Flagstaff. Very pleased with it.
Great model(s). You did well :)

*This has a FAB kitchen in a small trailer* !! *LOVE the lighter colors* !! *Such a great new layout* !! #HaylettRVReviewsNewsAndMore
Wow! They really crammed a LOT into this, and it works and looks awesome! Ty !! (this must have been lock down insanity? lol)
16:38 to 16:45 you stuck the dismount Josh❗️ #AlliterationGymnastics 🗣🤸♂️ 🏅🏆
Love this one! No dinette yay!! Love everything about it!
Right on
It's freakin' perfect!!!!! I can see why you're so giddy. I bet we're going to be seeing plenty of copycats real soon. Definitely an instant classic.
Betting you're right.
Great point!
I agree on the tv location. That shit drives me nuts
A mount that can pivot or slide down a foot or two is all that would be needed to position the TV where it should be. Then it could be stored back up and out of the way of the "fireplace mantle" when not in use.
Very nice review and very excited that you put the specs of this trailer in the description
Thanks! 👍
Based on viewer feedback. Takes more time, but if it's appreciated then I'm going to keep making it happen!! :)
Love this RV n first time I’ve watch one of your videos. You’re a goof ball! 😁
First of *many* I hope! :)
Awesome closed as well. You can access everything.
Yep!!
I agree Josh, this is as near perfect as they get! I’m really exited about a couple things you didn’t mention: the CCC and fresh/grey capacity. Great specs for real world RVing!
There are just two things I don’t like:
- We haven’t met an RV mattress yet that we like.
Please review the beginning of the video where specs are shared (Also in the video description for your convenience!)
I love this layout. I’d have skipped the second outside door, since you can get to the bathroom with the slides in.
Yep. I was having a moment of brain fade apparently. TY for watching :)
Midway bathroom...totally love the two doors. Nothing worse than having to walk through...well, you catch my drift
Great layout! Love the kitchen
