Very educational people and about time it came to life and is recognised as part of our history. Still have my protest sign I used to parade in Hyde Park and I’m straight female but it needed to be done for future generations.
None of these stories are known to anyone unless you were gay or allied to the gay community until the 1970's. As was and is the case with the Nudist and Naturist Community.
Oh how wrong you are, I had 3 gay cousins in the 50s in the music/ entertainment business (drag was a novelty then) who suffered discrimination so they looked into Australian History and found the information on Captain Moonlight.
Just because one is gay or allied to the gay community, doesn't make them an expert on every bit of historical knowledge about gay people. Some people may know some things. But not every gay person over a certain age, would know all there ever is to know about gay history. Sir David Attenborough, who is a natural historian and has spent many, many decades studying all things flora and fauna, the natural world and so on. Even he would admit that he doesn't know all there ever is to know about those subjects.
