- From first crush to first love, from the closet to coming out and from loss to connection. For the last 25 years, retired schoolteacher Arden Eversmeyer travelled from Houston across the US to record hundreds of oral 'herstories' from a rapidly disappearing population.

Crying my eyes out after watching this, what a beautiful film! Everyone should know about this! As a 21 year old lesbian I can't begin to say how grateful I am for all the work these women did for our community, and it's so wonderful to see their lives and their love.

Amazing. Young LGBT people in the West have a rich inheritance because of people like Arden, the volunteers and interviewees. The coalitions we have today in the community are not new, they are a continuation.

I imagine it’d be a hard listen for a homophobe because the stories of being young, discovering yourself and falling in love could just as easily be a story from straight guy with the change of a couple pronouns.

For a group of people who are so strong, amazing, courageous, brave and strong its interesting how often they need to be reminded how strong, amazing, courageous, brave and strong they are.
