FYI: for those that don't know, or didn't watch the entire series..this amp rack has 4 fans and they are controlled with an SMD TM-1 (far right LED display on front of rack). At the desired (chosen) temperature, the fans gradually roll in. The hotter it gets, the faster they move. Self cooling! You can't see them in this video but you can see them installed and explained here ruclips.net/video/s2-FQJ-jZ8c/видео.html thanks for watching!
meade916 I need to know how to do that wireless box!!! My system is slappin' (video up on my channel), but that wireless box set-up would really come in handy.
It's crazy how I've been watching Smd since I was 16 or 17 now im 27 years old. Timeflies too quick. I remember when I was in high school I wanted a car I didn't care what car it was as long it had a system in it. Smd and exo and casperskafs. Are by far the best car audio RUclipsrs back in the day.
It blows my fucking mind that someone could watch Steve do this entire custom install from the ground up and then comment trying to tell him how alternators and batteries work. Lmao. This dude has forgotten more about car audio then most of us will ever learn about car audio in our lifetime
SMD is the kinda dude who fiexes the entire car when it was only supposed to be a deck install lol. Watching him set the gains and crossovers makes me want to do car audio again, I stopped 12 years ago to be an inside wireman a d wish they had tools like this then
Yo I've been into car audio for like 25 years, and I just learned something big time this video, Meade is a genius, I used to always buy expensive 6x9s with 3-way tweeters and put them in the back and they would get drowned out by the bass box. In this video he said have all your components in the front, so the highs are firing directly at you! Let the base flow through the back of the cab. Great advice man!
besides being drowned out....when was the last time you went to a concert and the band was playing behind you while you stare at the wall? That is why i never use rear speakers if i can avoid it. Up front ONLY. Id put the subs up there too if there was room although bass is mostly non-directional. Thanks my bro i appreciate the comment :)
Something else i hadn't considered until now: The 6x9s are not in a box. They are mounted direct on the deck infinite baffle style. No cone control. So the sub box will be pushing them to xmax and beyond anyway.
There’s no doubt. Doing this shit right is everything. No point rolling round with a couple subs sounding like shit. I’d rather have just highs and mids sounding 👌
Some in the comments are clueless. He said this guy loaned him 140$ and that 140$ jump started his career and made him a lot of who he is today. Good deal and shows meade isnt a selfish prick. Badass video badass dude for hooking your boy up. 👍👍
Just rewatching this build series and i am once again impressed with how this turned out. As an installer that's been doing this for 25+ years, the magnetic terminals are still one of the coolest things I have seen. It's cool how they make the box portable and holds the box in place. For a smaller set-up, it really turned out awesome. Great job Steve and congrats Jaybird.
A job well done...it's admired how your friend came through for u in the pass and as time went by u gave more than what the $140 was. That's solid man we need more ppl like y'all in the world.💪🏿💪🏿
Steave, how's things going your way? Appreciate a RUclipsr that always responds and conversates with his followers. And puts on his local artist gotta respect that. Much love and respect keep the videos coming G.
Watching this build has enticed me to get a system. In the past I was heavily into systems. I was MECP Certified and worked at a few places installing stereos. It use to be my pride and joy. I ended up having a child and then got into making cars go fast. I really miss the sound of a nicely tuned system.
Nice job man, I'm sure your friend will enjoy this for years, hard to find good people in the world anymore that'll do a bro a long standing solid like this.
I was microwaving my food at the same time as this video. I couldn’t distinguish a difference between the door ajar beep of this Honda VS my $50 microwave. 🤣🤣🤣
That paint went from "where's my hug" to "new phone, who this?" 😂. Haha, but on a serious note, this was an awesome build and one hell of a way to pay a friend back.
I spent $90 on replacing my rear and front speakers in my 2003 Honda accord. Sounded 10x better. Yea it's not a sub in the trunk but not sure how to achieve what is in this video for $140
Ultimate payback for sure. The car and system looks amazing. I haven’t put in a system in about 20yrs, have the parts ready, and all I have to do is do the install that’s all. 😂
It would be sweet to have the mounting system in place in multiple vehicles and be able to swap the box and subs from car to car depending on what i want to drive
Love the audio set up. I know its a commuter car but a nice clean lip, budget coilovers and some clean wheels would help match the audio. OEM plus look, so many options for the Honda. Kinda want this to be a build lol.
DublR81 low key I really would like to see it a build as well but that would attract attention from thieves and since he daily’s it thieves would easily steal that accord and strip all that out the sound system is enough to enjoy the ride from home to work and work to home.
Straight up bro 1990- 93 accords are definite solid cars ... The rear quarter panel’s may rust out but the rest of the car is absolutely deadly.Thank God I caught my rear quarter panel’s and got my car nice and minty fresh. but straight up I sold that thing with over 600,000 km.
Jeez that's awesome 😂 I'm over here with a 12 inch sub in the back with some JBL speakers for the rear and it's been rattling like crazy and thanks to this video I know a way to stop that. 👍🏻
WOW brother!!!! Since watching this whole Jay Bird install I realized I know absolutely nothing lmao about all this. Man u need to go to University to do what u do. My APPLAUSE TO U SIR. I'm really inspired to learn more, I used to just go by ear n say ya sounds about right lmao what a joke. Awesome boss thx bro. Hope J-bird really appreciates this wow u an awesome friend

How much did that work cost?
@@FernandoTorres-ie3qd everything was $140 out the door.
Only cuz JayBird loaned him $140 eons ago and got him started building boxes like he does now. Probably cost one of us 10x that!
how much for a used smd dd1 go for? like the one the ass sent back I need one of those
meade916 I need to know how to do that wireless box!!! My system is slappin' (video up on my channel), but that wireless box set-up would really come in handy.

Atleast we can actually afford decent systems these days XD
SMD viewer from 14 to 24
Bro same first started watching at 17 now I'm 27
Got a system in my 2004 DeVille
I started watching at 10 now I’m 18 it’s crazy love the content and learned a lot about system now
Been watching since I was 14 now 22 😭
I can’t even get a homie to come help me lift my box into my vehicle, your a good friend broski
The magnet sub connection is the tightest thing I've ever seen. So clean.
It blows my fucking mind that someone could watch Steve do this entire custom install from the ground up and then comment trying to tell him how alternators and batteries work. Lmao. This dude has forgotten more about car audio then most of us will ever learn about car audio in our lifetime

That rattle on some cars in my town sound so anoying
That wireless magnetic box is mental!!
Mids and highs front only! Old school quality. Rock on.
Speaks volumes of your character Meade.
Hell yeah. Those 2 10s beat harder than some 15s man. What proper power and box size does is amazing. Another quality installation. Good shit
This is what I call quality work! Wish most shops were like u
Another satisfied customer, i luv when ppl cant stop smileing when the leave your shop slappin....🔊🔊🔊🔊
Paying back the $140 with interest; that’s a real-man, true-friend move!
Some in the comments are clueless. He said this guy loaned him 140$ and that 140$ jump started his career and made him a lot of who he is today.
Good deal and shows meade isnt a selfish prick. Badass video badass dude for hooking your boy up. 👍👍
Going Above and beyond as usual. That’s what friends are for!!!! 👍

That’s like a $2,500-3000 system for $140. Make me wanna get another Honda and get my shit hooked up like that 🔥🔥🔥
A job well done...it's admired how your friend came through for u in the pass and as time went by u gave more than what the $140 was. That's solid man we need more ppl like y'all in the world.💪🏿💪🏿
Steve is a true friend
Nothing better then getting a new system and getting your first ticket for that system.🚨 Good times.
First time I seen the wireless sun box, really impressed.
23:23 Sounded so good he turned in to Hank Hill.
whats the song?
That door chime is driving me nuts!!!
Nothing like hooking your homie up with a world first.
Back in the day I use to glue carpet behind my license plate to stop the rattling 😂🤣
I have easily watched this 3-4 times its probably been like 5 but every time I get excited still
Attention to detail. The car came out clean and sounding great. Another quality video.
Steave, how's things going your way? Appreciate a RUclipsr that always responds and conversates with his followers. And puts on his local artist gotta respect that. Much love and respect keep the videos coming G.
Amazing series man with great outcome, glad jaybird liked it.
I would die for him to do my install in my tahoe it would be an honor to have the king of installs to do mine
Wow I could hear so many different dimensions just through my earphones.... I can't imagine how good it sounds in person!!!
That's a nice thing you did for your friend. Favors are worth more than 💰 a lot of the time
Finally I been waitin to hear how those 10's sound
Watching this build has enticed me to get a system. In the past I was heavily into systems. I was MECP Certified and worked at a few places installing stereos. It use to be my pride and joy. Wireless sick!!! Steve the audio GOD💪🤓
DUDE the wireless subs are brilliant !!!
HELL YEA THEY ARE !!!!!
Can those be put in my '13 Silverado Crew Cab???
That wireless box is just insane. 🔊🔊
The only thing I don't like about this video is that I can't hear it in person. Incredible work.
From start to finish, that's brotherly love! Now to put an alarm in that bad boy cause now it's BUMPIN' work of art.
Wish I had a homie like this.....
Im so pissed my homies aint shit.....😞
I’m impressed with all the testing gear for setting the system up, never seen anything like that before.
Facts need a place like this here in Va
Maybe $140 for the mids and highs, everything else is him just being a good friend. Spot on man! Cool setup
Terrance Keene I need a good friend just like Meade lol
thats got me to thinking about a small system like that going into my 01 civic,,havent had a system in like 10 years
Very nice man. Way to take care of the homie. 🙌
A man needs more friends like the Bird, and Steve.
I was microwaving my food at the same time as this video. I couldn’t distinguish a difference between the door ajar beep of this Honda VS my $50 microwave. 🤣🤣🤣
Now he just need to make justice to that Accord and get some set of 19" rims. Amazing 😍
love this that's what true friendship is about!
Hella dope series Steve!!! Love the buddy hook up vids.
Sweet! Been watching the whole time. Badass job!
The distortion tells me it's on point. If sounds good on video then it sounds weak in person.
Omg that shit sounds so clean even through the headphones. I have to get the DD-1 now
That Acrylic led lighting looks amazing man! Fucking wow!!! That is some unique work.
That paint went from "where's my hug" to "new phone, who this?" 😂. Haha, but on a serious note, this was an awesome build and one hell of a way to pay a friend back.
I feel the same way about mids and highs
I spent $90 on replacing my rear and front speakers in my 2003 Honda accord. Sounded 10x better.
Yea it's not a sub in the trunk but not sure how to achieve what is in this video for $140
I like how when the bass hits and the bass meter goes to max it makes the SMD glow. Sick system.
Nice work Steve! That second skin made a huge difference.
Good job brother keep it up ive been watching for years ive learned alot from u
Ultimate payback for sure. The car and system looks amazing. I haven’t put in a system in about 20yrs, have the parts ready, and all I have to do is do the install that’s all. 😂
I really wish someone would do a “simple” system like this to my truck... beautiful job Steve.
Detailer did a banging job bad ass
These videos are never a disappointment. Much love.

^
Same
Attention to detail king! 👑 all the time
Always love the comments on your videos. This was a fun build to watch! But I still await for the Tercel SPL build finale hahah
no build finale. I ain't got no time for that bucket. lol
This is so so so freaking SICK!!!! Super dope Steve, very selfless thing to do man
That $140 was repaid with 20 years worth of interest!!!!!
No that $140 was repaid with 20 years of real solid friendship and gratitude for helping him get his start. The true debt can never be repaid
Awesome way to repay a friend man nice work that box install is pretty damn sweet
Bro today i installed 2 10’s in my 1965 thunderbird and the trunk went CRAZYY
dont mean to brag but im 15 too 😂 im jus a geek thats into cars...
This project was dope. All the way around. From the meaning to the work.
By far the most interesting vid I’ve seen on RUclips this year so far.
It would be sweet to have the mounting system in place in multiple vehicles and be able to swap the box and subs from car to car depending on what i want to drive

he sure got some interest :D awesome job!
they even clean the car for him.. nice clean job i love it ! is hard to find someone with these kind of inhouse workmanship in my country.
That's love bro.. 💪💪💪
Steve seems like the best friend anyone could ask for, once he started going up he took all his day 1 friends with him.
Its the best system install i have ever seen! And now i need to rip my system apart and start over!=^(
This is truly amazing and the reason behind the build is even more amazing
NICE BUILD STEVE. CAME OUT REALLY NICE😊
My lil brother just asked me what I thought about WIRELESS terminals and I said that's years out well damn!! Good ish nice install!!
Wow! I love the speaker terminals!
i like that panel that shows the seperate channel hits
DUDE THAT'S AN INNOVATION :OO I want a base system like that for the house, and a "Take it with me" in the trunk. fucking sick!
Jeez that's awesome 😂 I'm over here with a 12 inch sub in the back with some JBL speakers for the rear and it's been rattling like crazy and thanks to this video I know a way to stop that. 👍🏻
Lol, hey turn your headlights on. Woahoo they still work!
Found this channel recently and I'm hooked. Your an inspiration man love your work! That wireless Sub box is so well done
