I spent the evening watching all 3.5 hours of this build compilation from start to finish. I'm a bit OCD and I must say that I truly admire your attention to detail in your work. Looks good and Sounds good. I would die for some DC 12's for my 06 Silverado ext cab. I'm currently running 2 Audiopipe TXXBD412's on a APNK40001. Love the content and fellas, "The gain is not a volume knob!!!!"
Ur a good dude Steve, I see the joy u get out of hooking people up like rob and its awesome man there's really not alot of generous people like u in the world and its nice to see. Thanks for being u brotha.

lol Back in the day when I was still just a kid, I bought a 12 inch Rockford Fosgate from a friends older brother for ten bucks. The cone separated from the spider. I refurbished it as best as I could as a young teen and C-clamped it to a 5 gallon bucket to use with my home theater setup. haha
Steve seems like a real dude for sure at first I wasn't sure but I'm new here always done audio on my own as a hobby and not half assed garbage but I know he is more on a manufacturing parts and high high end show stuff so to help his friends out not many people are kind hearted especially when it comes to money.
I honestly ain't tripping how long this video takes bro ,your videos are worth the wait love em bro keep up the amazing work much love and respect outta Aurora Colorado bro
Love this video, after the first 5 minutes, I was hooked for the next 3 hous of the segment, attention to detail was off the chain,,,,the little things were just as important as the big stuff, good luck with all that.
Steve, been enjoying some older videos and throwbacks of yours. Digging your no nonsense and industrial stylish designed installs. Been in the game myself for over 25 years and have learned that more simplified, understated looks go much further than the late 90's early 2000's aesthetics of shiny, blinged out fiberglass with gobs of clear coat all over the place..lol..(those certainly were the days weren't they? ) Appreciate you also responding to your viewership and letting them know they have your ear. See you one day hopefully at an event....Peace!
i sat here and watched the whole thing....been installing since my second car for 30 years now..damn, its been that long?? ouch but i still enjoy doing it right for the customer. take my time and get it neat. GREAT VID and keep up the awesome work Steve
I hope his windshield is still OKAY. That was hilarious when he said it cracked. Not surprising at all though. That was one HECK of a system you gave to your friend. 30 year friends are HARD to come by. Much Respect!
Rumors have it the next day he sold it all for a dub rock and a glass rose outside the pick a pac. This is the 2nd time he helped someone out and they sold it all for a 25 rock
Man i remember watching this when you first uploaded it. Now almost 4 years later watching it again and I'm in awe at the state that install was in, you certainly did an amazing job with the upgrade! May i ask did he purchase that truck like that or did he install that system himself? Crazy transformation nevertheless!
I've been a fan forever, his works are always 101%perfection SPL/SQ, top-notch quality always and leaving nothing out. I can't wait to take my 2021 BMW X6M there for added bass, nothing too crazy, just a light clean and precise quality build-up added to the factory Bowers & Wilkins sound system for those missing low bass.
Bucket o bass. This was his version of the bazooka bass tube. And he had 2 pioneers in a store bought box. He could have just left the bucket of bass out. But seriously my buddy down here in Arlington TX does car audio. Anywho he likes doing the $15,000 jobs but he really loves doing the lower priced subs. I've seen him $25 SPL subs in a bandpass he built. On a Pyle chopper series amp. No one maybe belive but the way he set it up they thing was crazy. I've seen him do 4 of the MTX RFL on a huge Zapco but till this day my fav build was the SPL build. Love your channel btw Steve. I've been a fan since you had the Fi Audip 18s in the Tahoe. Man I wish I could have got 2 of those
I can't believe I watched this whole video. Lol. Love watching builds. Especially yours cause how you do it. So professional and clean. Helps me with mine

I never would have never thought regardless the hopelessness of the situation to think up a "Bucket O' Bass". lol. I guess as long as its a big enough bucket. lol. Sweet you guys using Incriminator Audio for the Amps. No chance of not exceeding your planned expectations with those guys powering the system.
Dude, I was laughing while watching this, I remember you saying something along the lines of, it won't be show truck quality, but I'll make it sound better. Then proceeds to redo everything and make custom 1 off boxes and custom door kicker mounts and makes it literally ready to put in a car show 🤣🤣🤣 I will say, I was like Oh my God that's a nice box, then u cut another piece and I was like that's a cool design, then you bedlinered it, and I was like that's sick, and then you blow my mind because I had no clue all the rectangles and stuff were there to hold the amps and hardware, I absolutely love it, I will for sure have to come to your shop someday, and I live all the way in TN 💯💯💯 this channel is fire and I love it 🔥🔥🔥
I just got my first audio system, a cheapish $80 pioneer head unit and a alpine s-a60m amp, a 10" alpine s series sub with all the wires included for $535. I did all the wiring myself and I'm glad to say it doesn't look nearly as messy as this setup was... It's still not complete yet though, I don't have the head unit in a plastic housing and the sub and amp are flying around in the trunk. Probably could have gotten better stuff for the money but I think it sounds great.
Just a heads up for people with these trucks- the external fan 105 alternator can be swapped out easily for the later one with internal fan. IIIRC it puts out more amps. It’s just a matter replacing the regulator wiring pigtail in the back of it. You just have to identify which terminals are what on each and match them up
Now that's what professional quality work is like, taking the TIME 2 do it right the 1st time!!! But MOST r 2 excited end up rigging the project quickly n it barely last wonder where they went wrong!??
high school daze when runnin 2 the hills and tellin mothers about danzig :^) 357 days of the year. da bumble always reminds me when that cd dropped how it pounded in my baby blazer 2 kenwood 10s with kenwood everything except for the autotek amp with a pyramid blue for the 3 way 6x9s and piezos on the door jambs. mad respect for always going forward in bumpage quality when u hook the homies up, that's old school shyt rite there a lot can learn from nowadays. bucket 'o base no more! 100 #oleschoolFTW
I know this is an old video, but I just watched and daaamnnn, what a transformation. Love it! I can't help but wonder if it would be safer to cover all the electronics on top from prying eyes though. But hopefully nobody has tried to break in, and the system is still bumping hard till this day.
Remarkable installation. I’m a huge fan and love your imagination when doing a build. I enjoy building as well. Not as experienced and still learning. Thanks for everything bro.
Haha nothing like a bucket of bass:) we did that 20 years ago with the old skool pioneer impp 12 inch when we were at a party just jammed it in a bucket and cranked it on the house sterio:)
I'm guessing the "custom" mods on this truck were performed between the hrs of 11pm and 4 am. The dome tweekers in the pillers crank highs. Your a good friend taking on this habihackery!
I’m new building my system and came across this today . I’ve seen another of your videos where you building the delivery guys ride! It was baddass too! You do awesome work!!
I have started my first radio full upgrade with radio 9ch EQ speakers amp subwoofer. Its got a few power blocks blocks. Let me say I never expected so many small details to get 1 little thing accomplished. My wiring is good. The only thing I didn't know about was the radio wiring harness module. I thought I had to splice into factory radio wiring harness. A lot of small details.
Love the transformation and his reaction is priceless, but can someone educate me on how he eliminated the engine noise? So he runs the power from the alternator and battery to the first distribution block. And then from there, ran to the second one in the back of the truck. And from there to the amps, head unit? How's that work exactly?
i had those 6x9 in my car and it wasn't a bad setup even tho the mid and highs were blown on both speakers.... it did the job till I was able to get an upgrade
So passionate with every build.. love it. If only u was based in the UK, literally I will be in the process off doing a build in my e36 convertible beema but the boot space is limited which is a bit disappointing! Can't wait to have it finished and see the outcome 🙌 😍
That damn 4 12 Box THOUGH!!!!!!! Made the damn CAMERA SHAKE!!!!..Edit: Woooowww!! The BOX is the Amp Rack!! NICE!!! Woooow!!! Your are a fucking GENIUS Bro!!! I NEVER saw that coming!!! Hahahaaaaaaa!!! Your Bro had NO IDEA Steve!!!!!
That's funny, I had "Bucket Blasters" with two Kraco 6×9s on each end of a bucket in the back of a pickup when I was young. Funny thing it sounded alright.
Great job bro keep up the great work going to start working on my ride again soon I am going to retune the skar rp2000.1d amp and see how much more I can push them skar vd12s
Awesome clean up & install. You got to call those old door panels, Tore up from the floor up, Beat up from the feet up, And wrecked up from the neck up! I'm guilty of having dirty interior so I hope Rob doesn't feel humiliated...."Life gets in the way of always being able to look like The Brady Bunch." Anyways, Mr. Mead Im in Ventura County, a neighbor to the South of you. Hopefully some day I'll be able to roll thru your town and stop by in my 2002 Toyota Sequoia that's shaved and slammed down on some Comp Pro 20" alloys and a janky sound system. Ive got some ok components but need to clean it up. Skar RP4500.1.D 2 Skar 12" DVC 2 ohm SVR's with a pair of 1000 CCA batteries.
Just watched the hole series love your work man very clean very simple way to troubleshoot if anything happens Rob is very lucky 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼saludos from 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
I've got a 98 extend cab that I wanna run 4 12s. But I'm on a small budget so I think I might use 4 power acoustik mofo-124x in a ported box or 4th order
“We got a self-tapper, we got sheetrock screw.” We also got a couple of Roadies in the seat back pockets 🤘🏼and i haven’t even got to the French fry yet

Looking at those power cables, the quality crimp and ring connectors come together, along with the heatshrink...is so satisfying.

I thought Joe Rogans Podcast was the only videos I’d watch/listen to on RUclips that was 3hrs long....Steve proved me wrong.
He was so impressed when the bass dropped... a beautiful thing. Goose bumps he said. Awesome. Such great work.

Love this major hook up, and blown away of how clean it all sounds.
I think the labor alone to make the box cost more then the value of the truck 😂
high school daze when runnin 2 the hills and tellin mothers about danzig :^) 357 days of the year. da bumble always reminds me when that cd dropped how it pounded in my baby blazer 2 kenwood 10s with kenwood everything except for the autotek amp with a pyramid blue for the 3 way 6x9s and piezos on the door jambs. mad respect for always going forward in bumpage quality when u hook the homies up, that's old school shyt rite there a lot can learn from nowadays. bucket 'o base no more! 100 #oleschoolFTW
How's robs truck doing still out there? Am trying build my 1991 gmc king cab this video motivates me
I know this is an old video, but I just watched and daaamnnn, what a transformation.
This video is absolutely fantastic, no questions everything is there!!.. Congrats
Loving it. When I was younger I put a 15'' into the opening of my mom's drier sounded so good I took the drier apart and put it in my room LoL.
You need to offer this box as a flat pack. I would definitely purchase one
I'm glad I found this video after it was complete build. Watched to whole thang
Oh my days, that was a fire waiting to happen. Nice save!
Just watched the whole series.
Great work, I've been enjoying your videos for 10+ years.
Steve's videos of his magic are back. Love it
SMD is more proud of the new door panels then any other part of the system lol
The original video randomly showed up in my feed and got me back into car audio after giving up most of my hobbies to do the family thing.
To be fair the fact a 10 inch sub fits so nice and I have made one with polypill and a bass port it was pretty good.
I remember this build! Luckily,my wife works nights and I had nothing better to do than watch this giant documentary/build on RUclips tonight 😂🤣
I was installing my first car system and I been watching so many videos on how and what I need and this video toped it all off im ready ❤
You never fail at going above and beyond!! Awesome brotha!!
I’m new building my system and came across this today . I’ve seen another of your videos where you building the delivery guys ride! It was baddass too! You do awesome work!!
Bro must have been so stoked! All good things take time 🙏
It’s always nice to see a real master at work.
That's a super clean install, something many of us could only dream of. Hooked your buddy up good. Bet that shit hammers
Man I loved this video! Killer craftsmanship and that was awesome to give back to the community.
You got to remember we all started somewhere maybe not there but somewhere
That car owner knows the best set up to get out of music listening within his budget. Next Level.
Simply the best channel for car audio!💯👌
i had those 6x9 in my car and it wasn't a bad setup even tho the mid and highs were blown on both speakers.... it did the job till I was able to get an upgrade
Queenryche, tool, Pantera, good ass rap, your music taste is golden
So passionate with every build.. love it. If only u was based in the UK, literally I will be in the process off doing a build in my e36 convertible beema but the boot space is limited which is a bit disappointing! Can't wait to have it finished and see the outcome 🙌 😍
That is a sweet setup! Love the Metallica just before he left before the alternator showed up.
I’d be careful putting that much copper in a junkies car lmao
The dude he bought this from had to be working in construction and used what he had available. Romex sheet rock screws caulk bucket
Great job bro keep up the great work going to start working on my ride again soon I am going to retune the skar rp2000.1d amp and see how much more I can push them skar vd12s
Resonation and Raptor liner is life! I can dig this video so hard. Thanks!
Awesome clean up & install. You got to call those old door panels,
Tore up from the floor up,
Beat up from the feet up,
And wrecked up from the neck up!
I'm guilty of having dirty interior so I hope Rob doesn't feel humiliated...."Life gets in the way of always being able to look like The Brady Bunch."
Anyways, Mr.
Just watched the hole series love your work man very clean very simple way to troubleshoot if anything happens Rob is very lucky 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼saludos from 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
Very interesting. A very long video, I like it ! Thanks from France 🇫🇷
I've got a 98 extend cab that I wanna run 4 12s. But I'm on a small budget so I think I might use 4 power acoustik mofo-124x in a ported box or 4th order
Oh those blue pyles used to slap back in the day I had 6 in a Chevy Blazer.
Will watch the whole thing again! Thanks 👍
Yo what you did to that truck is incredible looks and sounds amazing
I like it so much that I sit and watch it every day.
“We got a self-tapper, we got sheetrock screw.” We also got a couple of Roadies in the seat back pockets 🤘🏼and i haven’t even got to the French fry yet
