This is by far the healthiest video Ive seen about Gacha in a long time. I'll always have a issue with the predatory design of gacha, but I still enjoy a handful. Its insane how different the experience is when you don't feel financially pressured in a game. Maybe I'm spoiled by PGR, but knowing I'll have enough free pulls for every S rank should be standard in other games. Plus. That has made me more okay with spending a little here and there on skins and weapons.
My basic rules: 1. Don’t spend on a game unless I’ve played it for more than a month. 2. Never buy pulls. 3. Have a monthly AND yearly budget; don’t feel the need to buy something each month. 4. View purchases as donations to devs, with minor upsides; no, this Tooth Fairy skin is not worth $10, but the past two months of playing the game have been worth that, and the skin is a nice bonus for supporting the devs. 5. A well designed gacha game is fun completely free to play; even lost 50/50s or missed characters creates interesting roster building and gameplay challenges. The limitations are part of the fun; why would I pay money to avoid them? I mostly buy cosmetics (because of 5, buying resources in a well made gacha game is the equivalent of paying someone to beat world 2 of a Mario game imo). I believe I spent about $30 last year. 1. one Reverse 1999 Battlepass (which I actually regretted because of 5) 2. One Reverse 1999 Tooth Fairy skin 3. One Ash Echoes Battle Pass (not ideal, but I wanted to support the game and they don’t sell cosmetics). My max for a month per game is $15. My max for a year per game is $50. My max for a year total is $100 (meaning if I pick up any additional games, not all can reach max). I allow myself some wiggle room, but not much.
I spent like 30 dollars maxing out the monthly pass so I could get regulus’s skin after being F2P for the entirety of Re1999’s first year. After I dropped HSR, I decided I won’t be spending on gacha until like it’s first anniversary. That being said, the three dollar bundle on Miyabi’s banner in zzz right now is tempting.
about your 4th point: this could be right for any other type of games, but no, gacha devs deserve no support. If you buy something in a gacha its for you, you dont have to lie to yourself about supporting the most predatory type of game.
@@Shuraig7 nah, I’d be sad if the game I am playing for free went EoS, and if that doesn’t indicate it deserves some money, I don’t know what does. I literally did not plan on spending on Ash Echoes because it’s monetization is all gameplay advantages, but hearing people talking about how poorly it was doing convinced me to give it ten dollars through the battlepass because I want it to still exist. If you want something to still exist, that’s a good reason to give money to the people making it. Yes, it can be bad for addicts and those careless with their money, but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t exist (though it does mean there probably should be limits put like the ones China almost did, then backed down).
While I see your points 1.If you like the game and intend to play it for a long term then there's no need to play for that much to spend some bucks here and there afterall you might have a better time with the game and you might not even play if for more than a few weeks. 2.The only reason someone would buy pulls is when the banner ends and you are very close + its guaranteed 3.Thats very good advice with buying anything overall like not even games. 4.While I agree with the sentiment I would never buy a skin by its standalone. And if you consider buying the skin not worth it then just don't buy it, spend the money on something else in the game if you want to make a donation to the devs. 5.Yes but also, those limitations becomes a hassle in the late game with getting duplicates of the same units. Its a bait to make you spend more for the "better units" that's just how it is nothing more , nothing less Then Again I should probably follow my own advice first , I spent way too much money over the years in genshin and other gachas, probably more than 500 bucks in the span of 4 years.
The best way to handle gambling is deleting the game, thats what I did with ZZZ after spending 300 and 150 pulls for Yanagi M2 + Engine and lost 3 times with very late pity. After a brief consideration, its insane that you cant get 3 copies and weapon of your choice that will be obsolete in a year at the price of 5 AAA games. Deleting the game was the best decision I made.
for some people, yes. I'm glad you came to this realization and took action. I know someone who will keep spending and uses their mental health as why they need to keep going. Gacha was made to prey on such people and I wish they would take similar action and delete these games
Dumping a few hundred to blindly pull is gambling and one of the worst mindframes you can have. It's no wonder you would just uninstall and throw your hands in the air over losing money. Don't just blindly dump money intoa gacha game, its still gambling, you will lose. Always have a f2p mindset where you save and focus on hitting hard pity for who you want. That way it feels good getting that YanagiM0+Engine instead of being down $300 bucks for a minor power upgrade on her.
Downloaded HBR recently due to Pseychie. I have played several gachas but I have never seen a story or its voice acting go this hard before. I’m blown away.
A good rule for gachas: If the game says no (lost the 50/50, for example), you as a player can say no as well(use the guarantee on a future next banner).
About returning to PGR, I suggest you do return during or a little before the next patch. Kuro announce that they are speeding up the content to catch up with CN server by merging multiple patches into one. For the upcoming update, they merge 3 patches into 1, and so the freebies like daily reward and event reward are 3 TIMES the usual amount.
Psychie please keep playing PGR~ we are starting patch acceleration to catch up to CN and f2p players are getting 3x the rewards since we’ll have a new character every two weeks now until we catch up.
Bro used it to propel his channel, kinda smart tbh with the lack of quality nikke content creators around at the time, ppl were starved with non-clickbaity nikke guide/videos.
@@ayaya3954 true I followed psy because of his quality nikke videos after i got tired of the same 3-4 nikke creators posting the same exact thing on the same day I swear some of the nikke creators are just copying off each other for each video
i agree with that reverse 1999 take so much, I spent like 80 dollars on it but there was just so much story and things to do that I didn't have the time, i played it daily for like 7 months and it just wore me out so much
Limbus Company, Reverse 1999, and Path to Nowhere are genuinely some of the best gacha games/mobile games ever made. They are all so underrated, its crazy
Limbus is barely a gacha, so that makes sense. I wish R1999 gripped me more, because the story is very touch and go (with some high fucking highs), but the gameplay is a snooze. Artstyle is next level tho, even if they've since toned down how unique the mfs look.
really love R1999, the VA is on point and great, and the story seems decent after it pick up abit. But the gameplay and leveling system is really bad design imo, yes it doesn't have Mihoyo curse of overcomplicated things, but it take so much resources that building a versatile team is just a dream until you grind enough, which is quite boring
I really miss your Nikke content, especially your Character Reviews. Your guides are the reason i understood the mechanics & stuck with the game. Hope you can come back to it sometime & make more of the content.
The only gacha I spent money on was a buck in Infinity Nikki's cheapest pack, because it basically gives you three outsides from the first purchase bonus outfit, a choice of 1 of 6 outfits for cheap and can get you the cheapest outfit in the paid outfit shop. Unless you count spending $10 for Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Complete, partly just to support having paid one time purchase releases of EoS'd gachas. But that was really like buying a normal game.
I've played Granblue for 4 years before I tried any other gacha and I've taken for granted the fact that its skins and character selectors not only cost as much as a 10-pull but also come with a 10-pull ticket that I can use whenever. Also, I started BD2 because of your review and it easily became one of my favorites. Excited for its future.
@@thatonepersonnoonecaresabo3163 well maybe he'll cover endfield instead since it can be played on PC anyway and who knows, maybe hg do reach out to him just in case
pseychie you should definitely do a follow up on zenless zone zero, the new update is genuinely amazing and absolutely overhauls many aspects of the game that were tedious previously. its basically a whole new game now, and 10x more fun!!
For Nikke it depends, Anniversary battle passes give a few draws and a skin. I dont mind that. Or event skins if I like them and the draw tickets that come with it.
I've only currently been active I'm 3 gacha; FGO, Nikke and Brown Dust 2. FGO is the first gacha I got and is the one I've simultaneously spent the most on and felt the worst doing so. I'd say this is not only because of the atrocious rates, but also the fact that it's hard to see where the money is being reinvested. Gameplay updates are rare and players are never treated any better by the game itself. Nikke is a solid middle ground. I've only bought 2 starter packs and that wasn't done out of FOMO over the gacha but because I genuinely enjoyed the story and the detailed events I've played, so I spent money to show support mainly. However, what you get for your money is still rather lackluster, especially the costume gacha Brown Dust 2 I'd say is where I feel most comfortable spending money. I haven't spent as much as in FGO, but still a moderate amount and I've never felt bad about it. You get your moneys worth in pulls+resources and it's made very clear that the money being spent is going directly back into the game. Devs always ask for player feedback, make polls and take direct action on what players want. Also the gacha is so generous I've never felt pressured to spend out of FOMO
Limbus Company is a gacha game if you want to experience the gacha, but don't want to spend much money on them at the same time. Having extra content at end game is nice to engage with. PM seems to be a bit more open to the ideas of events rerun, and other stuffs that are still not implemented yet. Not having much need to do is quite nice to me since I can just play other PC games on Steam since Limbus Company doesn't take that much time (unless you want to). Aside from spending on both the daily lunacy packs (around 12$/ month?). The pack last for 30 days, and I can save up that money and buy them again when I want to.
I'm an OG FGO player, played it on JP for 8 years from the beginning. Had to stop because I was gone for awhile and there was too much things to relearn as a non-Japanese reader playing the game off of muscle memory. Since FGO didn't have a pity system, I learned early on that it's never worth spending on pulls unless you go all out, which as a forced F2P I couldn't do. However, whenever I could, I always pull on the guaranteed gacha. It's a great chance to get characters I really wanted. As for Nikke, I started playing for the Evangelion collab. However, I had a bad beginner experience. I feel like they didn't give enough free pulls in the beginning. Not only did I not get any of the rate-up Evangelion characters from pulls, I didn't even get enough rebate currency to guarantee even one of them! Left me really salty knowing I probably won't get another shot at getting them. Lost all desire to continue playing right then. I really like the character designs but the gacha doesn't feel good to me. WuWas probably my favorite open world game atm. I get where you're coming from about the story, but personally I enjoy it. I think it's getting better with each patch. I also like that the story doesn't waste too much time. That's one gripe I have with Hoyo games. However, I get what you mean about the music. It's still enjoyable in some places but PGR hits harder for me. I definitely suggest getting back to PGR. Love how F2P friendly the game is. I maintain a monthly pass even though I don't really need to just to show my support for the game and the devs. As some have mentioned, they're gonna make Global catch up with CN so 2025 is gonna be a jampacked year.
My personal list: Zenless Zone Zero: $145 (I started playing when Burnice banner was almost ending. I needed her. Next banner was Yanagi and the rest is history). Wuthering Waves: $60 (I wanted Camellya Weapon). Brown Dust 2: $78 (Neuron activation). Total: $283. I started playing gachas again back in October so even I am surprised in myself how I let them suck this much money out of me. At least I have built up some resilicance to know that is not worth the investment.
@njoguszn They just did anniversary where they released 2 pilgrims and almost immediately went to the winter limited banner. It's far from dry, dude hasn't made a Nikke video in months so there's a lot to cover that he just never did. There's plenty there.
The PGR gacha skins have the benefit of being farmable for BC at least. You always bring up Karenina's skin which is 10k BC or 2/3rds of a character (and the cheapest gacha skin) , but it's really the $30 sfx skins or Bianca's 21k BC skin that are the wallet killers.
the only 2 gachas I spend on regulary is Limbus and Genshin. I buy every Battle pass for Limbus, and I bought a lunacy patch trying for Dingsang. Genshin I buy welkin and bp every month. Other gachas I go no further than a bp or welkin and usually if I want the skin (Nikke I got the Rei skin and 2 others and I plan on getting volumes becasue its a pirate) or that patch I want more materials. (Honkai) googleplay lets you set a budget so its a nice reminder (HEY ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO PAY FOR THIS.) i'm bipolar and Adhd, so impulse control is something I try to keep conscious of
I haven't spent a single dime in Arknights considering I have been pretty lucky and the game is pretty generous. But I can't excuse the fact that I spent it on official AK merch lmao. That limited edition lorebook was worth it Xd.
As someone who loved Gintama even buying one of the "Final" movie dvds way back, I definitely felt the comparison to HBR but I ended up not sticking with the game due to not liking the battle system overall. Same gripe with BD2, which I'm sure are both great games.
I'm still waiting for more guides on HBR, my dude. I would love an in-depth look at the "accessory crafting" system. I want to enjoy the story, but Chapter 4 battles are crushing my team.
My general rule about spending in a gacha game is treating the releases i REALLY like as an AAA game release, so I spend around 60$ on them at 1.0. After that, I treat every huge update as a DLC, so I spend around 15-20$ on them. In regular updates, I only get the monthly login and the battle pass IF I find it worthy (It’s rare). The games which made me treat them like this are: Honkai Impact 3 around 2017, then switched to PGR when it came out, then Reverse 1999 (dropped for a while now), then Wuthering Waves. Currently playing both PGR and WuWa, leaning towards PGR atm. The next game on my Radar is Endfield. Also, I really don’t like Jun Maeda stories :D Count me in if something is written by Oshii Mamoru tho.
I spent $50 on gacha games this year just battle passes for Honkai Star Rail and ZZZ. I played WuWa for 3 months then quit because the grind was getting too much and came back to collect the free character and now, I play casually as f2p focusing on story and exploration. I realized the story isn't that bad just the direction/screenplay is more like chinese cinema than anime which we are so used to that maybe why it feels a bit off. I might spend some money in WuWa if the story improves. I've been playing HBR for 3 weeks , it feels like a visual novel with gacha added later for monetization. I think was lucky with the free pulls because I was able to full auto through most of the content which kind of made it a bit boring. i think i will drop HBR because so many other gachas are expected in 2025. Ananta (project Mugen) and Arknight endfield are the two I am looking out for.
I've only spent money directly on pulls twice and i felt really bad afterwards both times. so now i only occasionally buy the monthly pass in arknights and the battlepass in limbus company.
damn the reverse 1999 glaze we love to see it though personally can't really agree with there being too much content, especially right now. for new players, maybe? but that's gonna happen in every gacha game. r1999, imo, is the most side gacha game to ever had side gacha game. the new modes; series of dusk and three doors are permanent game modes, so no need to rush them. only things you have to really worry about is manus bulletin and limbo. MB you don't lose much by not top clearing it, just mats, can't even get pulls from participating in the game mode, and Limbo is like genshin's spiral abyss but lowkey kinda easier once you got the teams. Even if you're reading all the stories, I don't think you'll miss out of them. main story is there for the whole patch so you can practically take your time with it, character stories usually last for their entire banner, and antedotes (typically 5-3 star/standard character 6 star stories) are the shortest so I'd prioritize those if you're scared of missing them). TL:DR; I'd argue there's not enough content lol.
I would say that there is a lot of content in the game when you are working/studying and not much when you are completely free and read all the new content in 4-5 days (but what awesome days these are) and wait for the second half of the patch.
I've been enjoying gachas a lot (Hoyoverse suite) and Ash Echoes for some months (small fish spending only, about $20 for each game in battle passes). But to save money I think I better return to my collections of non gacha JRPGS at least until Ananta or NTE are released.
my total spending on f2p games this year: wuthering waves 20€ zenless 60€ the first decendant 20€ path of exile 2 (the early access pass) about 30€ I hope I get Miyabi from my saved up pulls, I missed out on Yanagi and Zhu Yuan 😭
surprised you dont buy skins. actual value for money aside, they're kind of the only actual 'thing' in game purchases get you. everything else is just paying for resources now that you'll get later in time, either from a timer or playing the game grinding encounters.
2:39 Damn they didn't decide to change that despite all the talk during Withering's development? Then there's literally no point monetarily. Monthly Welkin is obviously more worth it.
I wonder if you’d check out the fossil that is “Puzzle and Dragons” at some point in time. It’s been going over decade now and is constantly getting collabs with well, almost everything over the years. Also has one of the more interesting pity systems that I believe no other gatcha game does, probably for good reason though it does have its pros and cons. It’d be cool to see someone play it through the lense of someone new as a veteran player since 2016.
I kicked War of the Visions and Fate/Grand Order out of my life. I reached both to a point where I was just farming to upgrade my characters. WOTV probably has one of the worst game economies I have ever seen. It is either pay $500 to max out all your characters or play everyday for 500 days. FGO pity is also awful. During my three years in FGO I probably used $300 to get all the SSR banners. On the other hand, I decided that I am going to support games with fair economies: in my case, I picked Reverse 1999. I bought almost all the skins (don't judge) for my favorite characters, 37; 6; Getian, Diggers... but now I do not know if I should buy Isolde's xD tl;dr - I feel that buying skins show our appreciation for the devs. Reverse 1999 is the only gacha in my heart.
Tangent on your tangent: I feel just old when people praise Heaven Burns Red. I saw all the hype on it for a long time, people were clamoring for it to get a global release. And I don't think I've ever experienced such a universally unlikeable cast of characters in front of me since Konosuba. Each girl has one joke that is repeated ad nauseum, half of the cast is just loud and obnoxious, and there's nothing beyond that. When a supposedly stellar writer is put at the front of such a project, I feel that characters should be established with a bit more depth than that. Instead, it comes off as the animé equivalent to Big Bang Theory (derogatory): shallow slapstick humor with character archetypes and tropes that are just window-dressing for forced dynamics and cheap appeal. None of the characters seem interesting or even tolerable to me, be it in their design or their one personality trait. I felt physically unwell after just the first prologue chapter, and the prospect of having to endure any more than that filled me with enough dread to immediately delete my account and never look back. Yet so many people love it, and I see myself as "old man yelling at clouds" for not getting it, yet also see it as genuinely one of the worst things Japan ever produced to become a success.
The pacing on chapter 2 was one of the most god awful experiences I had in terms of pacing. Literally doing the same thing for like 40 days (Ruka answers some trivia, afk over some phase of the big operation) I had to fast forward through sections of the game and it’s a VISUAL NOVEL GAME LIKE HUH
@@KazeMemaryu Read Clannad and Tomoyo After like 20 years ago and decided that's enough of Maeda for a lifetime. Stopped caring about not liking things others do around the same time. Tried hbr for a bit but nothing's changed. It's fine.
11:10 it might sound contradictory but personally this would be something that would turn me off from playing a gacha game 😭 i quit wuwa because of this, and im always too worried about picking up hi3 for a similar reason
You earned some of my respect purely for mentioning Gintama. This year I only tried out three gacha games: Zenless, HI3, and Wuwa. Wuwa I dropped alongside Genshin because neither were hooking me, Hi3 I'm still playing but I'm only really in it for the story. Zenless, on the other hand, I'm logging in every day because of how much fun it is and how much the game's style resonates with me personally.
ZZZ is to this date the only gacha game that actually makes me log back in with every update. Tried to get into some others like genshin but couldn’t keep up with the open world tedious busywork it requires
More than 2 gachas, and my brain farts anyway, I only spent like 11 dollars on limbus for season 3 bp I'm trying to recover from the spending i made on manager don though...
I don't agree that Limbus added PvP but a mode with boss rushes or a tower like where you have to fight bosses and climb each floor would be nice. Also, in the recent livestream PM going to add a new hard mode to intervallo.
Yeah limbus definitely needs more content otuside of Mirror dungeons. For the past week I've basically just logged into, converted enkephalin and logged off since MDs are so boring
After you catch up tô reverse 1999 content, actually there is no much to do. Dailies Take 5 minutes and the biggest event of the update Will Take very little time. It is a perfect side game.
I really enjoy hbr but the gameplay especially things like the dungeon mode is kinda not great like when they make you walk for what feels like forever through a corridor in the tropical event story
Am I the only one who thinks that Reverse 1999 has like no content? I do the story in one day, then its farming and building the character, mane bulletin comes out and I can do that in another sitting, and then what else is there? The events aren't that long, neither are the anecdotes and endgame content isn't even hard at all. I personally quit because the game felt like it tried to do everything except gameplay. And I've outlined like 3 sittings worth of content, and if that's too much then honestly why even play? I don't really know how you end up with too much content because I've built everyone I wanted to and otherwise it would be prefarming or building units just because.
Started GFL 2, good graphics but story is a drag. Like if I didn't play GFL1 so a lot of moments feel more awkward then emotional to me. Does Brown Dust 2 have a good story or just fan service?
Best way to spend in gachas - is to not spend at all. Respect yourself, and don't even play gachas which don't give you everything you want for free. Instead, better spend on fullprice games, cuz their gamedesign would revolve around entertaining you (gachas don't care about fun, they are built to milk you). Always remember - the more gachas earn, the faster gacha cancer will spread into normal games.
Preach, brother! It's fair to say that, as a time-waster, gachas can be an okay option. But simply paying for one good roguelite will give you infinitely more fun with a fraction of roadblocks, all of which are opening up as you play, with runs centering around experimentation and discovery. And there's certainly no scarcity in "infinitely" replayable games, or the genres they cover. As someone who's neck-deep in the gacha trap, it's not worth it. Anyone who claims to have the most fun with a gacha simply hasn't found the superior single-priced game yet.
OG Kuro fans will agree with you on the PGR and WuWa comparisons, PGR is a superior game than WuWa in many aspects. Not saying that WuWa is a bad game, but if PGR is an open world game with similar modern engine and getting the same amount of global hype and promotions, there'll be no contest between the two.
seems aight spending wise, ill keep saying it with you fuck skins prices insane scam. endless grind able content is really missing most gacha's, cant have anything too rewarding ,need to stay on that crumb gathering. i bough the limbus pass and poe2 early access. Hsr have been saving jade for so long, taking a break. Wuwa lost interest. other than that great seeing the freaky thumbnails on yt

If the game says no (lost the 50/50, for example), you as a player can say no as well(use the guarantee on a future next banner).
I think the better rule is always account for those 50/50. Never pull if you can't even guarantee.
Now you mentioned it, when does it starts?
@@Speechless-bm4sf next patch, which arrives in 19 days

That still terrifies me. I'm honestly scared to come back because of the acceleration
@pseychie are you finished with nikke ?
Watching the video about what games they're playing would tell you.
Seems like it.
Seems like it but i feel like he should make a dedicated video or community post adressing it. Or maybe he already did and I'm just stupid
i agree with that reverse 1999 take so much, I spent like 80 dollars on it but there was just so much story and things to do that I didn't have the time, i played it daily for like 7 months and it just wore me out so much
It is kind of surprising for me. for most re1999 player the problem is having little content. The game main focus is story so it is understandable.
@@T8-TRwhich is shame because that tv shape character was creative man
really love R1999, the VA is on point and great, and the story seems decent after it pick up abit. But the gameplay and leveling system is really bad design imo, yes it doesn't have Mihoyo curse of overcomplicated things, but it take so much resources that building a versatile team is just a dream until you grind enough, which is quite boring
Same here. Reverse 1999 and Limbus Company are the only gachas I've been playing for a while now. They're great imo
R1999 gameplay is really bad, after playing chrono ark its feels like such a downgrade gameplaywise
As a huge reverse fan hearing you say it has so much content is actually a huge positive for me😂. On the other hand im so hype for Ch4 Pt2 of HBR
heaven burns red is absolute peak.
Yeah skins being around the $10 sounds about right to me.
*glances nervously at my Cinderella costume*
I should play more hbr I'm at the tail end of chapter 1, but outta the 13 gachas I play hbr gets the least attention
I really miss your Nikke content, especially your Character Reviews.
Your guides are the reason i understood the mechanics & stuck with the game.
Hope you can come back to it sometime & make more of the content.
How... not egregious for a content creator, respect for that.
Please continue with videos in the next year 🎉🎉🎉
I've played Granblue for 4 years before I tried any other gacha and I've taken for granted the fact that its skins and character selectors not only cost as much as a 10-pull but also come with a 10-pull ticket that I can use whenever. Also, I started BD2 because of your review and it easily became one of my favorites. Excited for its future.
i agree so much with that opinion on wuwa!! my breaking point was rewatching the lore and my brain exploding in confusion
Arknights review will take another year at this point 💀
I'm going to be real here: I'd be really surprised if he reviews Arknights at all. He doesn't really seem to be interested in covering it.
Same with azure lane and other lewd echocalypse and idle godess stuff idk
@@thatonepersonnoonecaresabo3163 well maybe he'll cover endfield instead since it can be played on PC anyway and who knows, maybe hg do reach out to him just in case

I'll go and do the same rn
Ty paychie
pseychie you should definitely do a follow up on zenless zone zero, the new update is genuinely amazing and absolutely overhauls many aspects of the game that were tedious previously. its basically a whole new game now, and 10x more fun!!
For Nikke it depends, Anniversary battle passes give a few draws and a skin. I dont mind that. Or event skins if I like them and the draw tickets that come with it.
Gintama and Monogatari is mentioned, nuff said you're the cultured person
4:58 And that's why i get the battlepass in Reverse 1999 sometimes, because I get the skins I genuinely want on top of all the extra resources.
Yeah the resources are incredible. Especially since it takes a ton of dust and sharpodonty to get a character to Lvl 60 Insight 3
The fact that I missed out on the Nikke collab with NieR and thus losing out on ever gaining 2B and A2 in the game, led to drop Nikke INSTANTLY
However, what you get for your money is still rather lackluster, especially the costume gacha
Brown Dust 2 I'd say is where I feel most comfortable spending money.
Pretty nice of Pseychie to spend back the sponsorship money to the Heaven burns Red devs lmao
I just started brown dust 2 because of the anni and it gave me the 2 limited 5 stars immediately and I'm loving it
Limbus Company is a gacha game if you want to experience the gacha, but don't want to spend much money on them at the same time.
I swear tobgod if you nissed out on old tales, it's on sight. Jokes aside, you were the first youtuber I went to when I started nikke.
My personal list:
Zenless Zone Zero: $145 (I started playing when Burnice banner was almost ending.
Future DMC collab + catching up to CN (3x faster patches) makes it the best time to pick up PGR again.
Pseychie where is nikke content 😭
nikke is dry asf rn wait till new year
@njoguszn They just did anniversary where they released 2 pilgrims and almost immediately went to the winter limited banner.
Great video and overview! I would love to see you check out alchemy stars and how it is doing after all this time
I heard it's going EOS soon. But since he has a series on EOS games, the chances that he'll cover AS aren't too bad.
@@thatonepersonnoonecaresabo3163 I think it would work perfectly as a standalone roguelite, it just doesn't work as a traditional gacha
the only 2 gachas I spend on regulary is Limbus and Genshin.
Browndust2 lets gooooooo!!!!!
Yeah them battles are no joke😂
NisiOisin's other works are also great! Zaregoto, Sayonara Zetsubou-Sensei and Katanagatari all have their own flair like the Monogatari Series
I've only spent money directly on pulls twice and i felt really bad afterwards both times. so now i only occasionally buy the monthly pass in arknights and the battlepass in limbus company.
damn the reverse 1999 glaze we love to see it
though personally can't really agree with there being too much content, especially right now. for new players, maybe? but that's gonna happen in every gacha game.
r1999, imo, is the most side gacha game to ever had side gacha game. the new modes; series of dusk and three doors are permanent game modes, so no need to rush them. only things you have to really worry about is manus bulletin and limbo.
I calculated and I spent around 250 bucks this year, 90% on wuwa, 5% on GI and 5% on others combined.
$60 on Nikke for a year supply of 100 gems daily. Makes getting a pilgrim about 60% easier.
I've been enjoying gachas a lot (Hoyoverse suite) and Ash Echoes for some months (small fish spending only, about $20 for each game in battle passes). But to save money I think I better return to my collections of non gacha JRPGS at least until Ananta or NTE are released.
And hers me spending quite a bit 1.5k in genshin and 99x2 on hsr and that's about it also 4.99 on azure lane
I'd say spending a little over a $100 in a year is healthy. Compared to others that spend over $10k a year.
my total spending on f2p games this year:
wuthering waves 20€
zenless 60€
the first decendant 20€
path of exile 2 (the early access pass) about 30€
I hope I get Miyabi from my saved up pulls, I missed out on Yanagi and Zhu Yuan 😭
I have a yearly budget and buy monthly packs/"Welkin"
cool to see this
I wonder if you were to be interested in checking out DBZ dokkan battle as it is nearing its 10th anniversary
surprised you dont buy skins. actual value for money aside, they're kind of the only actual 'thing' in game purchases get you. everything else is just paying for resources now that you'll get later in time, either from a timer or playing the game grinding encounters.
Gintama is Goated
Bank should do their Spotify Wrapped event
2:39 Damn they didn't decide to change that despite all the talk during Withering's development?
Then there's literally no point monetarily. Monthly Welkin is obviously more worth it.
I'm really glad you like Heaven Burns Red, but I also want to ask, where are the arknights?
On my end, this year I spend the least on gacha game ; spend around 30 usd++. Due to drop/quit most gacha game except brown dust 2.
Holy shit I didnt know Jun maeda was the writer for heaven burns red, the moment you said Key I did a double take
I wonder if you’d check out the fossil that is “Puzzle and Dragons” at some point in time.
15:50 its funny to see it very well with comparing it to genshin 5.3 & Wuwa 2.0
I kicked War of the Visions and Fate/Grand Order out of my life. I reached both to a point where I was just farming to upgrade my characters. WOTV probably has one of the worst game economies I have ever seen. It is either pay $500 to max out all your characters or play everyday for 500 days. FGO pity is also awful. During my three years in FGO I probably used $300 to get all the SSR banners. On the other hand, I decided that I am going to support games with fair economies: in my case, I picked Reverse 1999. I bought almost all the skins (don't judge) for my favorite characters, 37; 6; Getian, Diggers... but now I do not know if I should buy Isolde's xD
tl;dr - I feel that buying skins show our appreciation for the devs.
It's fine.

Less spending on gacha and more buying nier replicant
Track? Like tracking myself spiraling into the abyss?
I only spent 5$ and it's not even wanted i just accidentally clicked it 😭😭 🙏🙏
Will the GOAT revisit ZZZ, after 1.4 ?
Anyone who claims to have the most fun with a gacha simply hasn't found the superior single-priced game yet.
this hit me... been through alot of spending in gacha... least i stopped at one point... thanks and have a holiday
