Is the Alienware AW3821DW worth it?

  • I'm not going into too much of the technical specs of this monitor. Others have done that before me. However from a Joe Blow standpoint is this monitor worth it? Yes and No.
Yes if you can afford it and have the GPU to power it (2080TI/3070 but 3080 Recommended)
No if you can get the same use out of a traditional Ultrawide.
This is geared towards the high end gamer/content creator with a budget that can fit.
It's sad that this monitor now is less expensive than even the recommended GPUs above but if you already have a 3080 or 3070 this isn't a bad option.
    TLDR
Pros: Excellent Picture Quality and Room presence.
Cons: Price and HDR quality and Dell sucks to order from.

This monitor have fan inside (cooling G-sync module) and its working ALL THE TIME (yeah - ALL THE TIME, after power button pressing too)... You need to disconnect it from wall socket 😔... I bought some power extension cable with more sockets AND with BUTTON. Now im turning off all my connected devices to it - after PC is shutted down 👍!
P.S. You can hear that monitor fan - listen on up holes, from center and a little to the right 😎!
P.S. It works with AMD card, because G-Sync Ultimate (G-Sync II) supports AMD Freesync 🥳, only enable Compatibility in "Display" settings (in AMD Control panel) and enable "Freesync ON" for every game (yeah, for every idividually, because its AMD and default is AMD Optimized setting (change it to ON) 😇! Enable G-Sync on monitor too, before driver option change 🤪!
