In this short video, I talk about why your mini sewing machine needle is not moving and what you can do to fix it. So many among you have asked me this question and although I have tried to reply to your comments, nothing beats watching the actual thing.

I love how you are happy to just "get your hands dirty" and open up these machines to figure out how they work. I know lots of girls who wouldn't dream of trying to fix something and would just throw it away.

Thank you very much this video helped me I purchased this brand sewing machine for a retail store and when we brought it home to open it we found that the whole presser foot is missing from the machine. And it's as you said the coil is no longer compressed

Thank you for your kind words.
My observation is that it is a very basic little bulb soldered on without a way to replace it.
I wouldn't worry too much about it going out. A table lamp should sort it.
@@OoniCrafts Thank you so much, i didnt think it could be replaced, but i just thought i would ask as you have really worked hard to learn all about this machine. As i said I have been watching all your videos and they are so great. You really make me feel like i can use the mini sewing machine to make more that just masks, which is what i originally bought it for.
What will i do if the power botton on & foot fedal not working . I already check it all the parts but its ok . I dont know will i do 😭😭 please help 😫😭😭

It might be that your needle is sitting too low. Unscrew, reinstall and tighten the screw again, making sure the needle shaft is touching the solid ceiling.
If it still doesn't work, it's a manufacturing defect I'm afraid.

Hey ! I've been watching your vids and they're helpful.
Problem: I did the number 9 method to place the bobbin in, the needle moves up and down, even has picked up the bottom thread just fine. BUT the top thread is getting caught on the center circle part of the bobbin while it is going over it while the needle is going up and down; and it jams.
I don't know what to do. I have taken the bobbin out and back in 5 times and the top thread keeps getting caught even though the bobbin is not bouncing up and down.
Anu, check the bobbin for small burrs or jagged edges. Find them and file them down using sand paper or a nail file.
the purple dial on my machine is stuck. it turns one round in both directions but doesn't go further than that. I opened it but i couldn't find anything stuck. Please help!!!
It's a faulty item and best returned for a refund

I've written about this earlier, it's a manufacturing defect I'm afraid. Hacks cannot fix it. Please try to return or exchange it.
Hi! Can u help me with my sewing machine too. The machine works perfectly fine when there is no thread but if I put a thread and start stitching a fabric it stop working. It happened first with my foot pedal so i alternatively use the on and off button and now they are both not working when i put a fabric. The needle will go down and it will stop. What should i do? The handwheel is perfectly fine in both method too.
Monica sounds like the motor is faulty, it's not producing the correct power wattage. That's an electrical fault I'm afraid. If the machine is new, I would return or exchange it x

Hello!!! Any idea why my hand wheel won’t continuously turn? Once the needle reached the bottom, the hand wheel seems stuck so I had to move it clockwise to make the needle go up again. Please help me :(
