I have a 2016 1.4tsi 150hp petrol manual 6gears octavia remmaped to 180hp, same front as the one in the video but xenon lights and no ride control. the car has now 150.000kms without a single fault. Nothing cracking inside, still looks as good as new inside and outside. Is very comfortable and it isnt slow either, I have surprised some bmws with it :) I have no reason to look for another car atm since this one is just working faultlessly. As a very happy owner of one, I highly recommend it.
I love this guys reviews. I've bought my last three cars after watching this gentleman's fabulous walk throughs and he hits the nail on the head every time. 👏👏👏
Hello Jonathan, another very well specified and delivered the video on the Skoda Octavia, thank you very much again, you are an absolute star!! keep going my friend🎉
I had the old one mk2 and went for this. I went for the 3 cyl and it's enough to this car. The fuel consumption is great. Skoda has the most faithful owners and im not surprised. However Skoda start climb upwards in price and especially Dacia is coming up from beneath. Can be a tough call next time!
Another great review, i have been looking at these, around the 2017 version, i would like the L and K or the VRS version, but only in DSG, In diesel and if possible........... in Capp Beige for the L and K or that lovely green colour for the VRS, Low miles and must be mint.......... oh and i would like the Canton sound system in the VRS 😲Not asking much i know. 😉
The only problem with it for me is that this car hasn’t an electric motor option to turn it into an electric vehicle!! I’m what I call an electric head rather than a petrol head!! My current electric car is a Renault Zoe. She’s a great little car with enough room for me to store my electric bike in the boot!!
Stop talking about diesel engines in cars!! An electric car is a much better buy for several good reasons. Petrol and diesel are more expensive than electric cars to feed with fuel!! And if you’re going into Greater London and many other cities, you save £12.50 or more!!
Until you have to change your batteries.. then the change will cost as much as a new car usually. Also the electric charging grid is not nearly wide enough for the country folk
We can already see that the electric car future is dead. Too many drawbacks. It was all hype detached from reality. They will never replace ICE cars. They only work well on journeys up to 100 miles. Fast motorway chargers kill the battery overtime and are expensive. Will never work as a long distance transport.
@@eemilperamaki6142 The electric charging grid is currently improving over here in England! The United Kingdom Government hasn’t done much to help, but a lot of petrol companies are providing electric charging stations as well as liquid fuel!!

They’re really quite good looking vehicles, Skodas!! Great value for petrol heads!!
I've had a mk2 Vrs for 8 years and have just bought a replacement 2.0 190 SEL ON A 69 plate 👍
Good choice
A very rare car, there's less than 400 of them in the UK. There's les than 50 of the 4x4 version of it, but that was only available as an estate.
Just bought one today (2016 1.2l petrol manual)
Nice video, but you're wrong on the 1.4 engine spec. The 1.4 in the Golf is a different type of engine than the one in the Octavia.

Can’t wait for the Renault 5 EV
Would you upgrade to a new Renault 5 EV?
Lol
Electric cars are doomed to failure.
@@MotorTorq_ZA In a word, NO!!
