Malcolm Young is probably the best rhythm guitar player in rock history. I can't think of anyone who comes close, honestly. James Hetfield, maybe. Malcolm was an atomic clock. You couple that with solid drums and bass and it will always sound 50 times bigger than just 3 dudes in the rhythm section. like 80% of Angus' job was rhythm playing, too, though. You can tell these dudes really loved ACDC. There's been heaps of covers, but this is by far, the best cover of an ACDC song, ever. Dave almost sounds like Bon in some notes, and no one held back, they all smashed it out and man, I hope this makes an album because it's fucking wicked. Foo's are really close to the top of my favourite bands, probably second behind Motorhead, and because of Dave Grohl, I got into Motorhead so I respect the hell out of all those guys, and their ability. RIP Malcom, I hope you and Bon kicked back and heard this one.
If I wanted to listen to a cover that sounded as close to the original as they could make it, but far worse, I'd just listen to the original. What's the point of listening to a cover that tries to make itself sound like the original?
When I was a kid I would fantasise about being in a rock band. The problem was I could never decide if I was the drummer or guitar player. I think Dave lives that every day.
One of the best covers I've seen, but it still blows me away that the ACDC version is still way heavier and more ballsy and it was recorded in the 70s.
This was the highlight when I saw them in Sydney, the energy was amazing, it blew my mind, my neck still isn’t the same! My last head banging hoorah, at 53 after a double bypass, although I could do it again. I hope I’m listening to the Foo’s as I take my last breath. VALE Taylor Hawkins

Hallo SOS! Mother and Father of all creation are here in the physical in person on earth to show the way phone home today! It's been trillions of years journey for Mama Papa to reach all on earth to wake up to this truth!
AC/DC, the definition of hard rock!
Amen!
Ryan O'Cerous did I ever told you the definiton of insanity?
So long Taylor, your charisma and energy on the drums were awesome!! RIP
The foos have been my favorite band for the last 25yrs..amazing cover of this song..god bless these guys, so sad and heartbroken for them..taylor was such a generational talent..I still cant believe hes gone..I've lost so many of my favorites, Layne, chris Cornell, Scott w., and now taylor..such a sad sad day..rest in peace taylor😪
The Foo's are awesome. One of my faves 💡🥁🎯♥so good ❤
Wow that was awesome. Well done Foo Fighters. Loved the drummers energy, he was working it.
This was the best that anyone not AC/DC could've done. Bon is bon, impossible to replicate
Dave always gravitates towards Taylor, the connection between the two is amazing. 🥁🎸 Love you forever Taylor. ❤️
All time Ac/dc fan here. Incredible performance by Hawkins. Very close to the spirit of Rudd, but with his touch, an amazing groove and feeling of his own, but true to the original. Bless you.
I have been a fan of ACDC since I could crawl(1980) and Dave groll with the foo fighters that was spot on... Love it and nice one guys for doing an exceptional rendition of one of my all time favourites...perfect guys👍
Have a listen to Henry Rollins with the Hard Ons.
Thank You for this very good rendition. I've been listening to AC/DC, ever since they played at my high school, end of year school scocial in 1974. This is one of my Favourite AC/DC songs. Regards JB
The drummer is having the best day of all his life
Taylors always in his element when playing...you should see him live
Ask the hi hat... I think it'll beg to differ
Adrian Barzola but don’t all drummers 🤟🤷🏻♂️
jon doe
Is the fact that he is playing one legendary song of AC/DC :)
Yeah Dave says he's a better drummer than him.
This is on the edge of perfect for me. Die hard Foos and Dave fan....one of my favourite Bon Scott songs.
I love how you can see the concentration and effort to give it their best.
I want to see this live!!
Please do this live at your Aus concerts.
We will bloody love it ❤
The amount of talent he has to play guitar and sing is incredible
One of the BEST covers ever!
Wow! No one could ever get close to the power of the original version or do a better job than Bon, but you could see the band were serious about giving this a bloody good crack! Another fine example of just how good a drummer Taylor was. Now he's jamming with Bon on the other side.
I wish Bon was around to realise how respected his lyrics were to so many other top artists.
I never thought I would hear a band cover AC/DC and make it sound so good. How can Dave Grohl have vocal chords after singing like that? Wow.
I love the Foo Fighters.
David Subat tenacious D did it to
the greatest band on earth cover a song by the greatest band on earth.....
Not sure Chris gets anything like the recognition he deserves... solid, gritty and explosive licks... very unassuming legend 👏
Once in a while I play this just to remind myself why I love rock music so much. It is a fantastic cover of a fantastic song by a fantastic band.
Not only do I love their Foo music, they are proving to be one of the best cover bands on earth!!
I think when it comes to covers mr bungle beats em all. No matter what song or genre they cover they do it perfe tly everytime from songs like "what the world needs now" "everybody is working for the weekend" "mister rogers theme" "24000 baci"(italian pop), "welcome back" "hit me baby one more time" "we are the champions" ect
Probably the best cover of ACDC that I've heard. Love to hear FF's do Shake a Leg!
this was a most excellent cover - dave really brought the bon back.
One of the best covers of this absolute classic
Hallo SOS! Mother and Father of all creation are here in the physical in person on earth to show the way phone home today! It's been trillions of years journey for Mama Papa to reach all on earth to wake up to this truth!
Malcom Young was the driving force to AC/DC's sound.
We all used to focus on Angus as kids, but it's really Malcom that's the one to listen to.
Finally!! Someone with real thoughts...i agree with u man
Yah he was the back bone
Like the carbon backbone of an organic molecule. The molecule is never complete without the carbon backbone
Little Richard said that a good song has to have a rhythym you can ride. You could ride Malcolm's rhythyms all night long. Angus was flash (with substance) but Malcolm was steady as a rock.
Yeah, but Bon wrote the lyrics which were often what set their songs apart from the run of the mill rock and roll bands.
Goose bumps… What a cover is this.. World-class….🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Just foo fighters paying homage too a great rock and roll band and they did a great job 👏 respect to the foos 😊

This has always been one of my fave performances and that's because of Taylor's great and energetic drumming. The life force of this band besides Dave of course. RIP to one of the greatest rock drummers and people Taylor Hawkins ❤
Yeah 100%. What a Champion and what a drummer and what a performance.
@@rolodarknet the original you may as well look at bit of a pointless exercise
RIP
He was integral to the Foo’s Josh is more than a replacement he’s a new energy without forgetting the foundations Taylor built

They are impossibly talented. Blessed.
Excellent cover!!!!! Dave is a monster in every situation. He is giving every now and then so strong contribute to the good rock music!!!
Love love love this, mad respect to the Foos, totally awesome cover of our Acca Dacca
#davegrohl
#foofighters
#taylorhawkins
Think seeing Foo Fighters do a full AC/DC set list would be a hell of a show. About the only rock band going that play with as much enthusiasm.
That's the way to do a cover.....if you can't do it as well, or even add to it, then simply don't bother, but the Foo's do all of that and more - they add love and appreciation and understanding of a truly great band - AD/DC. Awesome musicians in their own right, all of them..... God Bless you Taylor, an absolute legend, as a drummer, singer and family man. ❤😢😢💔
Not a foo fighters fan but he totally nails the vocal style. Probably one of the best things I've heard them do
now go listen to bon sing it with ac/dc. this is TERRIBLE

At the age of 19 years old I saw AC/DC at the Monsters of Rock festival at Donington Park for the 1st time live! OUTSTANDING! This is a great cover of a classic! Still love hearing Bon Scott singing this track! 🤘😜🤘 #acdcfanforlife
wow he NAILED the vocals as well as everything else!!!! brilliant!!!
The only thing better than this will be them covering more AC/DC songs
Łukasz Świdurski ac/dc covers foo fighters
Cole Scott that would never happen
Cole Scott That would be like if The Beatles covered The White Stripes
Łukasz Świdurski High Voltage would be awesome.
I am gonna miss such awesome drumming always. Love ... Taylor !!!!!
Espectacular Foo Fighters 👍
AC/DC 🤘🤘🤘❤️❤️❤️❤️
Well done Foo... you make us die hard AC/DC FANS proud... that was the best cover ever....
How can Dave stay so cool, just go freaking wild......🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿
Best cover ever...imagine acdc and foo fighters on the same stage...whoa!!
It's a great cover, it has the energy and raw sound of early AC/DC!
Probably the best cover I've ever heard of this song.
C'mon. I like Dave, but nowhere near the best. Sounds nothing like Bon.
Lemmys cover of its a long way to the top is epic
Hahahah...Thanks for the laugh,man.
If I wanted to listen to a cover that sounded as close to the original as they could make it, but far worse, I'd just listen to the original. What's the point of listening to a cover that tries to make itself sound like the original?
They really respect real music .....
Incrível!!!AC/DC Pra sempre!.Mandaram muito bem,Angus e a galera com certeza se sentiram muito bem representados
This is AC/DCs classic track,,fabulous cover though,,well done to the Foo Fighters,,great key change at 4.42,, Awesome 🎸🎸
When I was a kid I would fantasise about being in a rock band. The problem was I could never decide if I was the drummer or guitar player. I think Dave lives that every day.
be the singer
*wise yoda voice* : You can do both
One of the best covers I've seen, but it still blows me away that the ACDC version is still way heavier and more ballsy and it was recorded in the 70s.
Tracy Street Gibson SG and Angus and Malcom that's all lol
Yep!!!
Especially the Glassgow '78 and Donnington '91 versions!
hazardoustoxicity, Glasgow!!!
Tracy Street its a cover but its a foo fighters version
Man- that kicked some serious ass. Foo Fighters killing it. Couldn't happen to nicer guys!
They’re SO good they could play anyone!!!!
I literally have chills going down my spine! I can't say it's better than the original...but DAMN!! That's amazing!!
Two of my favorit bands! ACDC and foo fighters. Fantástic! Longa Vida ao verdadeiro rock .
imagine being Australian and a legendary rock performer play this!... WOW! Let There Be Rock! baby
Respect to the Foo Fighters, this was awesome👍 Would love to hear the Foo Fighters do Dirty Deeds🎸
I know AC⚡DC don't have keyboards, but they sounded awesome on this classic.
RIP Taylor 🔥
