Came at a time in Britain when people were dying in their thousands due to Covid and govt ineptitude.People on the bottom of the ladder really suffered.THIS gave some Hope !
Middled aged man here huge dave grohl fan. But dang i need to listen to the radio more. Never realized how much new unique voices/talent is out there. Super cool.
Yeah, honestly, the amount of great singers who have come out in the last year or 2 is astonishing. I probably gave up listening to "pop" about 5-10 years ago but really getting back into listening to Radio 1 again. I think they had a wake up call a few years ago when Radio 2 audience beat them. They seem to have put more effort into finding and encouraging British talent. Really cool :)
Sometimes it takes listening to the tracks that aren't singles. Haven't fallen in love with any new rock bands in the past 10 years other than Royal Blood, but after initially dismissing them out of hand I've found a lot of the pop singers my kids listen to are influenced a lot by the rock music I love and have some great songs. That being said, I am really hoping for a rock and roll resurgence. Are there any great new rock bands over the past 10 years that I have been missing?
Don’t listen to the radio. Explore Spotify, pandora, music radio, look up similar artists, dive into the back catalogue. You’ll find much more music that way, without as many ads :)
WOW..I'm almost 75, Forces Vet, been there, done that, and I sat there listening to this fantastic piece with tears in my eyes! Magical. Thank you folks.
dear sir I am a 39 yr old aussie. it doesn't matter what our age is music can heal. I am sitting here listening to it aswell with tears in my eyes. I am assuming you where in the Vietnam war so thankyou for your sacrifices in service.
Whether it’s 2020 or 2023, this recording was and will always be an epic one. Thank you to Dave Grohl and all the artists that lent their talents to soothe our hearts/minds; you gave us hope. I listen to this when I've had a rough day. It reminds me to hit the reset button and get back in touch with what is real; our humanity. Community, love, and a great song. It doesn't get better than that. 🥰
I’m a musician and not a producer. I imagine it takes a lot of skill to mix all these vocal and instrument parts from so many different people and make it sound as good as it does. Shoutout to the producer, Fraser T Smith!
@@GaryFujiokaSr As a really old git (73) I still listen to Radio 1, so recognise some or most of the voices, however I really appreciated the names to faces.... Thanks Gary Much appreciated. T CAKES...... (My acronym for Take Care and Keep Extra Safe)!!!
I’m my opinion, this cover was one of the worst. Most of there voices aren’t made for this. Some actually sounded really good like Jess Glynne but others sounded god awful
Great song. Really done well. I heard on radio 1 that each artist sang the whole song and pieces were selected to make this track. That means there are 20 plus versions of this song and to be honest I'd love to listen to each one.. Hope they release them all one day
@@Suitedup1111. The stunned look on Dave's face when Sean Paul starts singing gets me every time. They've taken it up to another level for me.. ATB Steve
I'm a 46 year-old Canadian who grew up during the Grunge era and still worship Dave Grohl. I didn't know who any of these younger singers were, but now I love them all. Absolutely fucking brilliant.
Majority are British. Dermot Kennedy has a fantastic voice and he's from Dublin, Luke Hemmings is Australian, Mabel .. Swedish? (I think) and Sean Paul is Jamaican, and of course, Mr. Grohl is American.
I'm a man in his early 60s, and I loved this version, the mixing, the harmonies so very, very much. I spent a few minutes drying my eyes afterwards. Awesome work, and an awesome song. Thanks.
I'm 60 and I also had to dry the tears, all three times that I've listened to it. This version is so loving and hopeful. God bless all involved in creating this and a big thank you to Dave for writing this beautiful song.
42 here, lifelong metal fan. This was beautiful stuff, I'll hold this video near and dear forever. We are the world song for 2020..all genres coming together for one thing, and yes expertly shot and edited. Fantastic gift.
I love this song. 6 years ago I had a mini-stroke and I lost my ability to talk, read, spell & comprehend. It was a big pain in the ass. I never lost my ability to play the guitar but expression that I used to have when I play the guitar was gone. Going through speech therapy and getting back to talk it again and reading and spelling again was pretty hard but wanting to play the guitar again was even harder. One of my speech therapist forced me to pic a song learn it on the guitar and sing it. And this was the song I picked. Thank you Foo Fighters. Speech therapist are God sends!
Awesome story my friend. I play guitar, have done for 30 years, absolutely love it, although lately, I do not get enough time to do so. I recently learned My Hero and Learn To Fly, both by the Foos (obviously). Good luck to you in the future.
If anyone must cheat, cheat death . If anyone must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away every single precious moment you have together . What a precious privilege it is to love , to have someone in this world you do trust, and a real privilege to be able to grow old . No pain no gain) .
Nice! Glad to hear you're on the path to recovery. You're right, therapists, RNs, PNPs, and docs are great - my wife is a Pediatrician. She wears a splash guard, mask, and hazmat suit for 14 hours a day - her only complaint is that if she gets COVID she is worried that she might still give it to her little patients.... so when I see people complaining about wearing a mask for 15 minutes - I tend to get a little unhinged. But Im glad you're doing better. Edit: Sorry for ranting
This song was legendary when I first heard it, but now, now it is immortalised in history. With eyes filled with tears, thank you sincerely. Music really is the modern world magic.
Came back to this video after hearing the news of Taylor’s passing. It’s almost unreal. Foo Fighters has inspired me more than any another band to play music. I started in 07. They were on top of world and remained there ever since. Thank you Taylor for all the great memories and tough times the music brought me through. May you Rest In Peace all time great 🦅
It's February the 18th in 2024. The time of typing is 6:34PM. When I was in that pandemic I was one of the millions of Key Workers in the UK. When I was going to work one day I heard this song and it made me smile so very much to try and pick out all of the individual artists voices in this track. Hearing this brings me back to the days of no cars on the motorway, regular police checkpoints and masks. I don't know who reads comments from back ago but, it was a scary time, when one cough, sneeze or anything would basically make you a pariah, as in, you'd be shunned even on your return from work (after a two week period)
I’m reading this and it’s 2024. Yeah I remember how coughs and sneezes almost made people hold their hands up in the gesture of a cross!! I worked as a nurse on the “Covid” floors, masking, gowning, gloving and being scared I’d catch it from those I served. Those were scary times. This song itself will never represent that to me but this compilation is so good I watch it often.
@@tamijeppson8068 When they had the "Clap for 8" I was always out in the street encouraging the loudest claps and cheers. I don't know if you're in the UK but that's where it was. You worked as a nurse in those terrible times, and I for one am glad that you got through it. You're a hero in my eyes.
Sadie Starts Again Yah such a lovely thought... but I dunno that this kind of magic can ever be recreated- is special and unique and impactful because of the beauty of everyone’s individual isolation all intertwined and brought together with magnificent engineering and editing. But totally get the sentiment ✌🏼💜☮️
The sound engineer(s) that dealt with this are sick! working with all that variation and bringing it together had to be the hardest part of this project ! congrats

No kind sir you are not, I genuinely had tears running down my face driving during work tonight when I heard this on Steve Wright for the first time today, sensational song and amazing feel good vibe. Totally overcome with emotion listening to it, it's good to cry, enjoy it mate, peace.
Daves face through this is priceless! THIS is why Dave writes songs. So all the people will SING his songs with him. Dave wrote this song at a crossroads, and credits it for FOO FIGHTERS staying together. AND for that I Am GREATFUL
Especially when the rap portion starts. That little smile. I'm a dad. I know that look. And I really feel like it's the look of a dad who sees his kid grow up to be something totally unexpected, but totally beautiful. He's not a fan of HIS music. He just loves music in general and it obviously gave him a lot of joy to see where this thing went and what a huge departure it was from the original.
@@jimvoigt8354 You are so right! I caught that look as well. These are some incredibly great, younger artists that I have discovered through this video. Thank you Dave.
The way this song has evolved over the years is something that I have never witnessed in 40 plus years of listening to music and following artists. A gift to all music lovers.
Just watching and listening to this brings up so much of my memories of uncertainty. Those were some weird times. Even now I feel like we aren’t quite back to normal pre pandemic.

You can easily do this in a home studio lol. Times have changed, you do t need a professional studio anymore to sound like a star. Everyone can do it with a bit of practice and the right software.
Crazy huh? I have no idea who most of these artists are but going by comments they have legions of fans, all of them. But even if you don't know them, you don't really have to. Their voices are beautiful, the arrangement that the video and audio guys made is absolutely perfect and yes I watch this every few days for sure. It's a treasure, a gift to the world deff.
What a fantastic track, so refreshing and uplifting in these difficult times. I am 60 years old and it is great to see young talented people like you come together a give joy with your amazing diverse voices. Power to you all, stay safe and push through.
I am really enjoying singing along with all the talented artists here and am discovering new ones to check out on RUclips while we are in lockdown. I tend to stick with my favourite prog rock of the 1970s, but this has opened up a whole new world to me. Thanks to all of you.
I was like: "Oh look, Foo Fighters singing together with all these young unknown talented people, so cute!" . . . Then I saw Chris Martin and realized they're all famous and I'm just old.
Dave Grohl: what a fearless, talented, humble, and true human being. A person who knows himself and has used his gifts to better this world. “What one can be one must be” Abraham Maslow.
This song is an example of how everyone came together no matter the difference in their style of music, their race, beliefs, etc and made the world a better place during the pandemic. It gave me hope and still does. The vocal and instrument arrangement is amazing and this video production broke through many barriers for upcoming independent artists. Thank you to the artists that made this song come to life.
I'm a fan of Coldplay and even I think the Chris should've done a piano finisher (no singing) to accompany Dave on vocals to cap off the song's ending. Ohh well, what's done is done. Still damn good multi talented arrangement.
@@1987thedrums I think it's because Chris is very much about charity these days and hence I suspect that he's the one behind the entire montage in the first place. It was Chris who organised the Ariana Manchester concert, Chris who organised the #TogetherAtHome instagram COVID movement and he's headlined many Amnesty International events. He still supports the "love button" movement hence why he wears it publically at the time (even here). He's become a big figure amongst musicians due to these charity endeavours (think about all the connections needed to organise the Manchester One Love concert) and hence why he gets gigs such as the 50th superbowl halftime show. Given his repertoire with organising feel-good events in times of strife as well as his insane network with musicians, especially British musicians, it makes me believe he was the one who organised the piece of art you just enjoyed and THAT is why he's in the video. Just like Manchester, he doesn't do it to seek fame (he didn't perform much at Manchester even though he organised the event) and hence, it'd be just like him to sneak himself onto the very end of the montage. Also, hate him or like him, you can't deny he's one of Britains most awarded and successful musicians and hence he deserves his place here just like everyone else.
Regardless of singer, this is one of the most heartfelt, sincere, uplifting, beautiful, and inspiring rock songs ever written. THANK YOU to all these artists, and especially FOO FIGHTERS.
I also feel it translated in to quite a nice warm uplifting house track too: soundcloud.com/send-and-return/foo-fighters-times-like-these-send-returns-live-lounge-love

16 months later, this still makes me cry. I will forever remember this version of the song as the theme song of the pandemic. I’m an old lady, so the only faces I recognize are Dave & Taylor, but it still means so much to me.
Dave's collaboration to gift us this song at the beginning of covid was a lifeline when the fear was so high.. May it again be a comfort to us now. Much love to the Foos and their families. Special prayers for Taylor's wife, son and daughters. ❤️🙏
The greatness of it all is one thing - seeing all these amazing artists singing this amazing song with this humble kind of joy. The reactions from Dave (especially during the rap parts) - are another thing. Priceless
@KnoxTheBox So, just to clarify. You as a star seed come from a star that is not a star but is just a light that is stuck to a dome that covers the flat earth?
@@robertmills6497 I'm wondering if I should be paying more attention to the gnats congregating in the light fixture above the dining room table. I mean, I don't know exactly where they come from, but it seems like a pretty popular destination. Have they all come to deliver a message? If so, it must be of some importance, as it appears to be a suicide mission 100% of the time.
This song is what kept me going during the pandemic as a nurse before I became too sick myself to work. I worked right through COVID. Dave Grohl you and all you amazing artists need to receive an award for best artist. Amazing, healing, sending out waves of love and strength. Thank you.
Hiya Jeanne, I love your comment, I do agree with it, as a key worker it was songs like this what kept people going. Would be amazing to speak with you. Would you be up for talking.
I love how positive Dave Grohl is. When the rap starts he's just smiling. He's like what a interesting change. He always smiles and gives a lot of energy during a concert. In my humble opinion he is just the most likeable artist in the world. You can hate his music, but you can't hate Grohl. Grohl always puts a smile on my face at least.
Just came back again for a visit and my god, it still holds up as an epic gathering of talent for an exceptional choon. Just pure class all round. 10/10 would go into lockdown again to get it!!!! hahaha!!
Here I am in November and I cannot listen to this song without tears in my eyes. Such a wonderous beautiful composition of a true classic song. Salute to the sound engineer and the video editor. - this is top notch, truly professional work.
Same as that. Listening to the murdered Oasis song and comparing to this, there is no comparison. This song really feels like they are all in it for the greater good. The Oasis song sounds like vocal gymnastics competing against each other. All for worthy causes and that is the main thing, just disappointed my favourite Oasis song was ruined. This cover though, just wow, I can't stop crying my heart out when I hear it 😊🥰
I’ve had the pleasure of practicing front line emergency medicine for 17 years for the NHS. I don’t cry. I’ve come close a few times. Sometimes I wish I could. Watching this brought me close, in an extremely heart felt, positive way. Thanks very much!
Made me cry but in the way you said ~ extremely heart felt & positive way. Thansk you for all that you do. We have always respected you guys but we are grateful beyond words. Aroha , Kia Kaha
David Brennan my little sister is working the frontline in London. We’re from Australia and she’s over in London doing her thing for your country. She’s a paramedic and ambulance driver. We are terribly worried being so far away from her. She, along with her boyfriend and flat mates are all frontline workers and they did catch COVID, but were A symptomatic due to being so fit. They knocked the virus on the head after quarantining for the mandatory 14 days and as soon as they got their third negative test, they went straight back out on the frontline. As I said we are extremely worried, but even more so than if it were me, as she only has one kidney and in some cases, even if you beat the virus, you may end up with 20-30% permanent vital organ damage. Luckily she walked away unscathed from her brush with it. I’m a man without faith, so I just keep my metaphorical fingers crossed that she keeps on kicking arse like she is and stays healthy and safe. ♥️
I cried tears of joy for the first time in a long time. Dave Grohl, you wrote an absolutely beautiful song and I am so glad that this collaboration exists. To all artists that contributed, thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
Just listened to the cover of this on BBC Radio 1. Although I absolutely love the Foo Fighters (Dave Grohl is a music mastermind!), you can really hear what the lyrics are saying in a new way in this cover. This song & lyrics have just been elevated for me on a whole other level!
I LOVE LOVE this performance. Even now, listening to it now in 2023, I recall discovering this in the beginning of 2020, and tear up. SUCH a fantastic song.... I was TERRIFIED and didn't know what to do with myself like most of us. Thank you to all involved who put a shape on such an undefinable raw REAL visceral scared emotion. The arts truly keep humanity alive.
Idk how you didn't know of thisbefore unless you just mean the performance, but glad you found it. Ps another amazing one is Florence performing it at Glastonbury after they covered for foo after gave broke his leg being a dumb as crazy rock star, real chills
Completely agree, you said it perfectly. I still tear up now at the power of the emotions and whilst my mind has largely blocked out 2020 this brings me right back to the fear, uncertainty and dread. But equally the hope and happiness that music gave us and still does!
Fraser T Smith is credited at the end. Hats off to the producers, a mammoth task no doubt, and it works really really well. Where would you even start!? Wow wow wow.
The bbc, they put it all together, then asked Dave on the bbc one show 'how hard was this all to put together' and as he answered 'the bbc asked me' WTF ?. I wonder how many of the people in this video Dave even recognises lol
@@ellieg91 On the One show interview with Dave and Dulipa they both said the bbc phoned them and asked them to do it (and i presume all the young pop stars were asked that way too), the fact that some one else was asked to put all the video clips together (how hard must that have Not have been) is besides the point. If you know how to use a video editor (millions of youtubers know how to, to say the least) and some one sent you all the clips of these stars and z list stars, then how hard would it be to make this ?. Who ever slapped the clips together should not be rated as doing something great, should they ?, if they had asked someone else would it be any different or better or worse. Let a lone the fact that the original is so so much better and less pretentious ;)
@@VERCENDARK This was not easy to put together, I promise you just getting the levels all correct and individual raw mixes, hours and hours - this is one of the best collab covers ever. Think "We are the World" great!
This hits different these days. Every now & then I come back to listen & remember. Feel these lyrics, whoever mixed this did an incredible job, a whole bunch of extremely talented singers/musicians, what a mixture of styles too. It's beautiful that Daves voice is still right there every time he's in the mix. Something that always sticks with me. To anyone that's having a hard time. Pressure makes diamonds ❤ RIP Taylor
Who doesn't get tired of listening to this ? Came at a time when the world was in turmoil and we didn't know what was going to happen to us all. We , the lucky ones , survived and this song will forever be a reminder that things do get better. Thank you Dave Grohl.
For a period of a few months in 2020 I would watch this video almost daily... sometimes it was the only thing that helped me keep going. I still think it is one of the most beautiful collaborations ever made, up there with "Do they know it's Christmas" from 1984.

The problem is these artists have great voices but waste them in generic, shitty pop songs with a fuck ton of autotune.
No middle aged man would say that he is a middle-aged man.

What a fab reply!!

I’m reading this and it’s 2024. Yeah I remember how coughs and sneezes almost made people hold their hands up in the gesture of a cross!! This song itself will never represent that to me but this compilation is so good I watch it often.

This is proper raw music. As in as they’re all stuck at home it hasn’t been destroyed and overproduced in the studio.
There is no way some of there voices has not been recorded in a studio and edited this is not raw. Don't be silly
You can easily do this in a home studio lol. Times have changed, you do t need a professional studio anymore to sound like a star. Everyone can do it with a bit of practice and the right software.
Simply stunning......even after 3 years

The cheeky drop of Chris Martin at the end, well played editor, well played.
It should of been the foos at the end...
Laura R should have let Dave Grohl end his own song.
I'm a fan of Coldplay and even I think the Chris should've done a piano finisher (no singing) to accompany Dave on vocals to cap off the song's ending. Ohh well, what's done is done. Still damn good multi talented arrangement.
Dave openly hates Coldplay so much I don't get why Chris Martin was even involved
Oh shut up. This is cringe-inducing vomit.
I also feel it translated in to quite a nice warm uplifting house track too: soundcloud.com/send-and-return/foo-fighters-times-like-these-send-returns-live-lounge-love
I never get sick of listening to this song. ❤
Transcends it's own cliche. Very cheesy, but I still adore it.
THIS BECAME MY FAVORITE ALL TIME SONG SINCE THE FIRST TIME❤❤❤❤❤❤
I, I'm a one way motorway
I'm the one that drives away
Then follows you back home
I, I'm a street light shining
I'm a wild light blinding bright
Burning off alone
Oh
It's times like these you learn to live again
It's times like these we give and give again
It's times like these you learn to love again
It's times like these, time and time again
Oh
I, I'm a new day rising
I'm a brand new sky
To hang the stars upon tonight
I am a little divided
Do I stay or run away
And leave it all behind?
I know
It's times like these you learn to live again
It's times like these you give and give again
It's times like these you learn to love again
It's times like these, time and time again
Let's go
It's time like these that we activate
Do something to improve, not procrastinate
I been cooking now, make a wicked pasta plate
Stream games at 11 but I clap at 8
And I'll do a FaceTime if you tempt me
Time to pay back what the health doc's lent me
And for me West Ten's elementary
But right now I wanna see Ladbroke Grove empty
You get me?
We make it better together, we make a better life
Because the pressure is ever upon us every night
And everyday so we pray and we will forever fight
We make it better together, we make a better life
I, I'm a one way motorway
I'm the one that drives away
Then follows you back home
I, I'm a street light shining
I'm a wild light blinding bright
Burning off alone
Alone, alone
It's times like these you learn to live again
It's times like these you give and give again
It's times like these you learn to love again
It's times like these time and time again
It's times like these you learn to live again
It's times like these you learn to love again

Thanks for the lyrics...☺️
THANK YOU, I ALWAYS SEARCHED FOR THIS COMMRENT
Dermot Kennedy, Dan Smith and Luke Hemmings in the same song is just perfect! ❤️
Inês Sanches massive dan smith fan!!! Lol
16 months later, this still makes me cry. I will forever remember this version of the song as the theme song of the pandemic. I’m an old lady, so the only faces I recognize are Dave & Taylor, but it still means so much to me.
Me too... Just sensitive souls.
U meant plandemic.
Right there with you - reduced to tears over this one.
I'm old man too, the only faces i recognize after Dave & Taylor are Ellie Goulding, Biffy Clyro, Dua Lipa and Chris Martin for sure.
I'm old too, 61 and just discovered this. We can be proud of our young people. Absolutely beautiful!
Still here in 24 and still find this track so magical . Showing how humanity came together during those difficult and sad times 👍🏼
Seeing humans how obedient and blind can be... the lowest in the whole Univers
It was a scam, brainwashed shait
The power of music to unite and build amazing memories. RIP Taylor Hawkins, what a star
Breaks my heart watching this. So good and now so sad.
Now thats Real dedication to the cause & we thankyou 4 it ✅
What a dream, watching my personal heroes Chris Martin, Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro, Yungblud and Dua Lipa in just one beautiful FF song... T.T
"We make it better together we make a better life"
Amen.
Be safe everyone.
I loved this song version (!)
Dave's collaboration to gift us this song at the beginning of covid was a lifeline when the fear was so high.. May it again be a comfort to us now. Much love to the Foos and their families. Special prayers for Taylor's wife, son and daughters. ❤️🙏
Me encantó tu comentario. Saludos desde Argentina
This song saved my life.
I wish I could like this a thousand-thousand times.
Chris Martin closing this collaboration was simply perfect 👌
for me, it was the reason why I heard the whole thing...
... there wouldn't happen to be a video with more of him singing said song would there?
@@Undraiks Same for me.
For me Chris Martin ruins this track (I'm glad there's not much of him on it)
Like cherry on top!
what?!?!?! 3 years ago and I didn't see it until today. What a gift to the world people. Blessings
Absolute gold
didnt hear this gem till today. makes me a little sad
It's times like these you learn who can sing without autotune.
Explain that to all those kids screaming at autotune performers. I made a mistake to try it!
In fact it's no challenge to live-autotune.
Impossible... Even when shouting it at the top if your breath.

The greatness of it all is one thing - seeing all these amazing artists singing this amazing song with this humble kind of joy.
The reactions from Dave (especially during the rap parts) - are another thing. Priceless
I loved watching Dave Grohl's reactions. This was awesome ❤️❤️
@KnoxTheBox So, just to clarify. You as a star seed come from a star that is not a star but is just a light that is stuck to a dome that covers the flat earth?
@@tenbestthings1855 I wonder if their imaginary friend tells them this?
Chris martin is a legend.
Thank you soooo much - you wonderful person x
❤
Chris Martin, what a classy touch.
You spelled 'what a fucking mess' wrong.
no. he ruined it
Such an emotional voice
I feel like Dave Grohl should have had the first and/or last line as the original singer but otherwise fair play to all concerned.
@@neiltemple4853 u mean ellie Goulding
I can't get enough of this song. So many brilliant artists, all different and so talented!!!! This has been THE SONG of 2020, by far.
I think it’s a good rendition of the song. It’s how one can manipulate songs that make this one of my favorite foo fighters songs
I thought the smile was great also. Never expected it to be raped to.
I can't imagine anyone "hating" his music but your point is very well taken 🙂. The nicest guy in rock n roll!
i was thinking the same thing, when he started raping the smile was so huge. Also when Sean Paul part he gave that nod of approval
Dave Grohl definitely is one of the coolest men alive
@@shinigami146yea the rap was the only bad call, song better without.
No words. Freaking incredible. What an incredible mix of artists.
Just came back again for a visit and my god, it still holds up as an epic gathering of talent for an exceptional choon. Just pure class all round. 10/10 would go into lockdown again to get it!!!! hahaha!!
Your spirit lives on through music...this is one of those touching moments... RIP Taylor 🌠💖
RIP
Here I am in November and I cannot listen to this song without tears in my eyes. Such a wonderous beautiful composition of a true classic song. Salute to the sound engineer and the video editor. - this is top notch, truly professional work.
Agreed
lets hope everyone follows the new lockdown so we can all go see live music again
when it happens i will go see any live music comedians art what ever it will just be good to get out and share
🙏❤️
It looks like Palouse Faith will be catching up with her ironing after the song, 😋. sorry Paloma Faith
Howard Haughton who??😆

Was there ever a lyric that more perfectly fitted the time of recording.
Brilliant cover of an epic song.
im here for dave grohl, bastille and dermot kennedy this is incredible i cant stop re listening
I cried tears of joy for the first time in a long time. Dave Grohl, you wrote an absolutely beautiful song and I am so glad that this collaboration exists. To all artists that contributed, thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
Me too, im crying for this beatiful video, is amazing anh then to the end with chris martin i say i can die right now
Just listened to the cover of this on BBC Radio 1. Although I absolutely love the Foo Fighters (Dave Grohl is a music mastermind!), you can really hear what the lyrics are saying in a new way in this cover. This song & lyrics have just been elevated for me on a whole other level!
I know and God bless them all.
This is everything and I can’t hold back the tears.
Agreed. You've also said it much better than I ever could. ❤
I knew from the beginning it was a scam... I was fine being outside when the rest of the Disney world was locked
I do agree and so well said❤
Revisiting this after hearing the sad news this morning. RIP Taylor. Even more poignant now.
Absolutely
This is exactly where I came when I woke up and heard the news. RIP Taylor.
Did the same today- so sad
Ditto... Not a superfan or anything like that... Just sad, on a human level...
Same
I always loved this song, but this slower, acoustic, group version is exquisite. What a brilliant effort. ❤️
Every week. Still gives me chills.
Who's the producer / arranger / compiler of this? They've done a stellar job!
VERCENDARK it’s produced by Fraser T Smith lol
Can't believe that the vid is already half year old, time goes by so quickly during corona

Pressure makes diamonds ❤
RIP Taylor
Spot on, I too keep coming back and this version got me then and gets me now still...
This song made that awful year way better
This song will forever resonate in my mind, Absolutely Spiritual... God Bless You All!!!
Who doesn't get tired of listening to this ? Came at a time when the world was in turmoil and we didn't know what was going to happen to us all. We , the lucky ones , survived and this song will forever be a reminder that things do get better. Thank you Dave Grohl.
Here for Sigrid, Dave Grohl, Dan and Chris Martin. That ending gives me goosebumps, sooo good ♡

I just love how extra she is in literally everything she does
This popped up in my feed in 2024. Seeing Taylor Hawkins in this is heart-breaking. RIP.
For a period of a few months in 2020 I would watch this video almost daily... sometimes it was the only thing that helped me keep going. I still think it is one of the most beautiful collaborations ever made, up there with "Do they know it's Christmas" from 1984.
Me too
WE didn’t.
The rest of the world did.
We have a lot of work ahead of us.
