My heart has been broken since childhood. It continues to break daily at the age of 52. When I can feel the emotions in a song it always makes a difference. Thank you Foo fighters....SO MANY of your songs help me daily💙

Any artist can be successful, only few do it without declining. Foo Fighters is one of few bands I appreciate that never disappoint me. Easy to recognize if an artist selling millions of records is also talented or not. Who's not talented will one day fade away. Long live FF! R'n'R will never die!

I do not know how to explain. I've always loved all these guys and their songs have always kept me going, always been a part of my life. These guys changed my life, you are my heroes. David Grohl truly is a legend. Nirvana and Foo fighters. 2 of the best rock bands of all time. Look at the crowd with him at the end. Goosebumps. RIP Taylor as well. These lyrics hit hard now a days and my prayers go out to his family and friends. These were the best times for rock, period.
Foos the soundtrack to my life literally Dave days apart in age feel we grew and experiences of life foo backing soundtrack Taylor miss you forever ♾ crazy dude Dave your inspirational mate ❤🤘♾
Listening to this song really has helped me cope with my overall well being. I haven't always had the greatest days to experience but just remembering to enjoy the moment for what it is has helped me get through those dark times. Thanks for the likes: I'm doing better now than I was last year. I still got a long way to go but I know I will get there. Rest in peace Taylor, keep drumming for us. Your influence won't be forgotten.
I think it's a point a lot miss. Kurt wasn't a dick, far from it. If Nirvana had ended other ways (Kurt's "I don't wanna be a rock star" had a happier ending and he went quietly off to be a daddy somewhere or something) I think he'd have been chuffed to bits if Dave had carried on and ended up where he's at now. Might find some of the later a bit "alternative rock by numbers" but there's been some cracking tracks from FF over the years all the same. Edit: Damn dude, still rolling your "I think Kurt would like it" thought around a good time later. Pretty deep one that, can sadly only give you the one thumbs up :)
Kurt in his heart was a dichotomy of a person. He was a perfectionist. Rewrote lyrics as late as immediately prior to recording and searched in vain for the 'perfect' Nirvana sound that he had in his head but couldn't get out. Loved Beatles-style melodies and the way music often comes first regardless of what the lyrics are (contradicting his constant rewriting of them!) But he was also a punk/metal rocker at heart and rooted in that way of thinking, that it doesn't really matter how good you are or how perfect your guitar sounds, just mean it. Music from the heart will always be good. Kurt also enjoyed that his music was prominent at the time but also hated the trappings of fame. It also gave him easy access to the drugs that he first started using for his still (to this day) undiagnosed stomach condition. I've always wondered if he had some kind of 'de novo' mutation/disease that was unique to medicine. I think he would've very much liked Dave's music. He might have raised an eyebrow at them being a little more 'arena rock' these days than when they started, and I doubt Kurt would play those songs in the same way. But Foo Fighters was a way of continuing a related form of alternative/grunge that has outlasted many, many other bands that formed at the same time. Kurt would've appreciated the way Dave has continued the tradition of just getting out there and playing your stuff - you don't need anything else.
I've listened to this song atleast 10 times tonight, some were playing along with the drums but the rest were spent relishing in the genius that is the foo fighters. Rest in peace taylor, the world will miss you dearly.
So many people know this story they sing. They have felt pain, suffering, and loss. Some people grow up in a bubble and when a life changing event like a divorce, death, or first love break up happens they are lost. We rise like a Phoenix when we hear our story in a song and FF helped this 60 year old start a new life. I was so impressed, I bought my college-aged oldest daughter from a divorce three tickets to see them with the hopes it would heal some of her pain.
The song hits you differently when you actually have your heart broken and your pride stolen. Kinda makes you reflect on how time has changed since they weren´t. But it's alright isn´t it?
Life’s a long journey. Lots of things happen; good, bad, and other. You are how you deal with it. So shrug off the bad. Savor the good , and the other, well that’s what makes you uniquely you.
The worst is when your heart has not been broken and your pride has not been stolen, and it's easy for you to say that it is alright. Then you realize your heart is about to be broken and your pride is about to be stolen. Then it really hits different, I can already feel that I will find out why it's not alright, one of these days. I can already feel it, I just rather live in denial because maybe I'm just wrong, it's not alright.
Oh my god first time I listened to this song heartbroken I realised that. It makes the heavy bit so fucking overwhelmingly awesome because it allows that anger and sadness out. It's great
My heart got broken 9 months ago, when I lost my baby brother to Covid. I went to see the Foos last week; my first concert since before the pandemic. When they played this song, I broke. Just sobbed while shouting the lyrics.
What I loved about you most Taylor was that you seemed so unassuming and down to earth. Obviously did it all for love and not the money! You were one of us living the dream! That power and intensity behind the kit will be missed. You were a great drummer even if you didn't quite believe it at times. Goodbye RIP T!

There's not a more passionate, dedicated & hard driven rocker than Dave Grohl ( Drummer - Guitarist - Singer - Writer all inclusive ) Bottle this all up in one humble dude, yeah he's living in our time!!
This music video came out before Taylor passed. Now that he has, it evolved new meaning. Thank you Dave Grohl for still being with us and showing us how to deal with his loss in stride. We will forever miss you Taylor. Your grace still reverberates waves today!
That infectious smile. You couldn't be anything other than joyful at always seeing him smiling. Always smiling. I hope I'll see you in Heaven some day, Taylor.
I grew up listening to the Foo Fighters, when I found out Taylor passed away, it felt like a peice of my soul got ripped away, rip Taylor you will be missed by millions of people worldwide.
Ryan Wile You must not listen to much modern rock if you think the Foo Fighters and Green Day (a punk band) are the only bands worth anything in todays music. Foo Fighters are indeed amazing and they are my all time favorite band and always will be, but they are a lot of other really good rock bands out there. For instance there is Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures (superband with Dave Grohl [Foo Fighters obviously], Josh Homme [Queens of the Stone Age], and John Paul Jones [Led Zeppelin]), like Gabzito said you have Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dinosaur Jr., Alice In Chains, Muse, anything with/by Jack White (more blues rock), The Black Keys (again more blues rock than straight rock), the list goes on and on. Now don't get me wrong, I am not trying to insult you or your opinion, but there is still so much good rock out there these days it's hard to believe you are much of a rocker if those are the only two bands you can think of. Although a lot of the good modern rock isn't as big and popular these days because most of todays popular bands are pop or rap. But there are still some great classic rock bands like Journey and AC/DC that are still around and playing shows and AC/DC has a new album coming out this year so there is definitely a lot more good rock out there these days than just Foo Fighters and Green Day

Taylor sempre viverá em nós enquanto estivermos cantando essas canções. Porque o rock é isso, um grito ensurdecedor de liberdade e alegria que ecoa até a eternidade.
This song kept me alive during a separation from my wife. We have been back together for 10 years now. Taylor's passing hit me hard, I too have been through the hell that is addiction. I wish that he could have come out the other side, The Foo's will never be the same if they do manage to regroup. I cherish the great songs and videos that they have given us.

I remember when I was 14 and I went to the hospital with my dad to see my grandfather. I didn't know it be the last time I would see him. I was speechless seeing him in the hospital bed motionless. I did say goodbye, but I hoped it wouldn't be its last. On the ride home that's when it hit me and this song began playing on the radio. The lyric "One of these days, your heart will stop" I lost it. I remember this so clearly. I wish I could say a proper goodbye, but your heart will stop one of these days

Foo Fighters inspired me to go all in with my music because Dave was once just like me, an artist without many listening. And now he’s on top. I believe it will happen for me one day, Im not stopping when it does! 🧡
Keep the faith !
Hope it works out for you!
Go get that shit, brother!
This song doesnt make it hurt less. RIP Taylor....may the Foo find strength
We all share our Condolences to Taylor's Family, friends and the rest of the Foos. His was a talent beyond compare, Legendary drummers don't come round often. Gone too soon. Rest in Peace Taylor drum for the Angels. 🙏😭💔 From f.a fan here in the Uk
I couldn't agree more...
Folks, this is one of the deepest humans to ever walk the earth. Almost every time i hear these gentlemen pour it out i have to pull over and rock out with the Foo Fighters and just let their message sink in thinking about the wonder, the miracle, the struggles and the suffering of life. Thanks for bringing your magic to this reality guys! Best band/songs/humans ever!
My heart has been broken since childhood. It continues to break daily at the age of 52. When I can feel the emotions in a song it always makes a difference. Thank you Foo fighters....SO MANY of your songs help me daily💙
The news of Taylor’s passing tonight has hit me like a brick. What a huge loss for rock. Godspeed, Taylor. 💔
How is it possible that Dave grohl isn't the most loved rocker!

That little second from calm to "EASY FOR YOU TO SAY" is by far one of the coolest fucking things ever.

Foo fighters has gotten me through decade of sh*t and I just lost my mom to cancer on July 8th 2021 and they are still getting me through sh*t...I can't wait to see them live one day.
they are an awesome amazing rock band
Nothing can compare to lose of loved one,Trust me I know, My comments will not ease your pain, The only thing that will help is the passage of time. So sorry for your lose!
soo soo sorry been there hope you get better just remember all the good times
Foo Fighters got me through some hard times too... also Linkin Park!!
I hope you do, it will be cathartic and loud and sad and awesome. Be sure to let us know when you do.
Any artist can be successful, only few do it without declining.
Foo Fighters is one of few bands I appreciate that never disappoint me.
Easy to recognize if an artist selling millions of records is also talented or not. Who's not talented will one day fade away.
Long live FF!
R'n'R will never die!
Patch Ani, il mostro di Fi-Renzi I've seen them twice in concert. Awesome!! If you play rock n roll/alternative. You got to entertain. Dave was the greatest. Tc.
One of the greatest songs I've ever heard in my life...and I'm a 65 year old successful bass player ❤
Love your band with passion, thank you for the memories and music, Taylor!! 🙏
You were a beast on the drums and your legacy and brilliance will live on forever within us all! 🥁 🎶
"One of these days your heart will stop and play it's final beat...
One of these days your eyes will close and pain will disappear..."
Rest in peace Legend!! 🖤
*I'm broken. Foo Fighters has been my favorite band since I was a teenager, the band that made me fall in love with rock. Losing Taylor is like I've lost a part of it, a part of my youth. I do not know how to explain. I've always loved all these guys and their songs have always kept me going, always been a part of my life. These guys changed my life, you are my heroes. We gonna miss you forever, Taylor...*
We all understand, hope it's gotten better for you, 10 months later, I hear they are in the final stages of getting a new drummer!

David Grohl truly is a legend. Nirvana and Foo fighters. 2 of the best rock bands of all time. Look at the crowd with him at the end. Goosebumps. RIP Taylor as well. These lyrics hit hard now a days and my prayers go out to his family and friends. These were the best times for rock, period.
and was drumming for tom petty for a bit. what has he not done lmao
Said exactly the same
I always say he's one of the most talented simply because he can do multiple of things. Proper music legend 👌

Foos the soundtrack to my life literally Dave days apart in age feel we grew and experiences of life foo backing soundtrack Taylor miss you forever ♾ crazy dude Dave your inspirational mate ❤🤘♾
Always a foo fighters fan. Keep on rocking ♥️♥️♥️ luv 😘
The thing I love about Dave Is he is so normal....but he is also a f'kn rock star!
sometimes i imaine kurt between the people in a ff concert watchin his friend dave and feeling so proud of him.
trunkv 19 this comment made me cry
I often-ly ask him about my milkshake-y and pla-y with his hair-e like a bar-bie and he call-s me bat-man....
trunkv 19 That just broke my heart
I've listened to this song atleast 10 times tonight, some were playing along with the drums but the rest were spent relishing in the genius that is the foo fighters. Rest in peace taylor, the world will miss you dearly.
God I miss them. I was supposed to see them this past July in Philly. Hope I’ll have the chance again. Even with guest drummers I’d be honored.
Relatable. This song hits hard. 💔
It's great
"It's alright" that's easy for them to say
My heart got broken 9 months ago, when I lost my baby brother to Covid. I went to see the Foos last week; my first concert since before the pandemic. When they played this song, I broke. Just sobbed while shouting the lyrics.
What I loved about you most Taylor was that you seemed so unassuming and down to earth. Obviously did it all for love and not the money! You were one of us living the dream! That power and intensity behind the kit will be missed. You were a great drummer even if you didn't quite believe it at times. Goodbye RIP T!
Los foo fighters han sido parte de mí vida por 17 años, esta noticia se llevo parte de mí ! Que vivan ! Siempre te recordaremos Taylor, tuve la oportunidad de verte en argentina ❤️
Every member of this band is so talented.... and really great people.. thank God for the Foo Fighters... all these years later and they still fucking KICKS ass....
+Tina Marie KICK ass. Not kiss it!
Rainy Day thats funny I didnt even see that.. my laptop corrects automatically thanks for the heads up..
+Tina Marie foo fighters the closest you will get at seeing nirvana live
+JTMVids101 Nirvana is great in their own way, but Foo Fighters is Dave Grohl moving away from that and making legendary music that is different.
Nakkid Frodo oh completly agree with you hands down they are amazing just amazing i m obsessed with them because of how different it is from where Grohl started from/ Love him on drums and singer!
The irony of the lyrics and the opening visuals is nuts with this last week.
Ruhe ❤in ❤Frieden ❤Rouven ❤♾️
Such a good song. Just love how the music drops entirely during "Easy for you to" (say) and returns with a bang on "say".
Descansa en paz Taylor, no se como describir el gran vacio que dejas, eras o bueno aun seguiras siendo uno de mis heroes, gracias por tanto, hasta siempre.

What an amazing drummer! This video makes me happy to see him having fun and doing what he loved. RIP
One of the biggest loss in modern day rock history, in my opinion, RIP - MR Hawk. You crushed it here on earth 🌎. Thank you for making Foo fighters concerts electric every night. ✌
Oh damn, this made me tear up..and I HATE crying. R.I.P- Taylor you will be more missed than you'll ever know, but your influence and music will never be forgotten.
Rest In Peace Taylor Hawkins. Your spirit may have moved on from this Earth, but your rock’n roll soul shall live on for all time!
My favorite Foo Fighters song!

"One of these. The clocks will still stop and time won't mean a thing."
You can't say it anymore beautiful than that.

I just read FF is touring in September the Forum. My son saw them before Hawkins passed, he said they are energy!I love he runs on stage.
There's not a more passionate, dedicated & hard driven rocker than Dave Grohl ( Drummer - Guitarist - Singer - Writer all inclusive ) Bottle this all up in one humble dude, yeah he's living in our time!!
THAT VOICE! It's just so epic/iconic and so distinct.
REST IN POWER TAYLOR
FOO FIGHTERS FOREVER🙌🏾🔥
I refuse to believe this amazing human being is gone. You will never be gone Taylor.
I keep going back to this. One of my favorite foos numbers. I was in the Western Springs concert and yes, we did cause a sysmic event!
One of the best drummers, Taylor...rest in peace we're all gonna miss you a lot 😔
Every year I take comfort in knowing more and more people find out and learn the meaning of this message and song
this song's message can help one cope with depression in a certain way
Your heart will stop
And play it’s final beat
Rest in power, Taylor.
Rouven...we will fight for you...💙💙💙💙
I grew up listening to the Foo Fighters, when I found out Taylor passed away, it felt like a peice of my soul got ripped away, rip Taylor you will be missed by millions of people worldwide.
The Foos are the best modern rock band. End of story.
and green day :)
Foo Fighters and Green Day are the only rock bands that are worth a damn in today's music.
Ryan Wile Green day, the offspring, foo fighters, red hot chili peppers, blink-182. Those are all great bands to me :)
Ryan Wile
You must not listen to much modern rock if you think the Foo Fighters and Green Day (a punk band) are the only bands worth anything in todays music. But there are still some great classic rock bands like Journey and AC/DC that are still around and playing shows and AC/DC has a new album coming out this year so there is definitely a lot more good rock out there these days than just Foo Fighters and Green Day
Serif1337 congratz... you are in youtube and saying things that make sense..
Dave, we need for you to come to Puerto Rico and give a concert. We need for you to lift our spirits and stir our hopes with your melodies. You have no idea how much of a motivation you are with your words. Excellent music!
Please come over 🤟🏼

Tears… as I listen to the words of this song and watch Taylor …heartbreaking loss of so much light and talent. Taylor lived his life to the fullest but taken too soon. Words so true for us all. Condolences to his children, Alison his wife and to Dave and the FF…
Nos deja uno de los más amados y queridos músicos de todos los tiempos, el vacío es enorme y muy difícil de llenar. Gracias por todo Taylor, siempre estarás con nosotros.
R.l.P Taylor you will never be forgotten, my heart is broken lm in shock. An amazing drummer and Foo Fighters will never be the same without you.
This song speaks to me so deeply about people not actually understanding how heartbroken you've felt..
You are so right Juan Carlos, myself recently having a 25 year marriage raising two "step" and 2 of my own(I loved the older 2 long before my two came along) and thinking, wrongfully, there shouldn't have been anything we couldn't fix, this song is my new anthem. #gofyerselfcujo
It speaks to me so much. "One of these days your eyes will close and pain will disappear."
Juan Carlos Yep, those cheating ass, self entitled wives....
Juan Carlos mmlok
Agree.
Breaks me with my current situation but one of these days we will be together again #itsadadthing
Dave has every excuse in the world to quit and crawl into a pit of depression. But he keeps going despite his losses... One of the greatest!
RIP Taylor
RIP Kurt
Heard the awful news when I woke up this morning. Been sitting around feeling stunned all day. This song was the first that came to mind. RIP 🤘😔
Taylor sempre viverá em nós enquanto estivermos cantando essas canções. Porque o rock é isso, um grito ensurdecedor de liberdade e alegria que ecoa até a eternidade.
❤😭❤😭
this song is so underrated, one of the best foo fighters song...
Miguel Carvalho Yes! The message is deeply beautiful!
So underrated
Actually, it’s not underrated, but this song is not for everyone, let’s assume that 55mio is the ones who have a good taste
I'm still trying glad for you .x
Whatever fools dislike this have no taste in good music. This song is one of my favorites, it is so pure and explains a clear message.

Thankyou both for your kindness,
It’s times like these we learn to live again! x
Sorry for your loos! How are you doing?
So sorry fella, Dave really understands a lot I believe. He can really resonate through his songs. Helped me a lot through the years, and experiences. So sorry for what you’re going through. Comfort for your heart dear. Peace to you, 🌸
I remember when I was 14 and I went to the hospital with my dad to see my grandfather.
I know the feeling I remember being my grandma’s pallbearer at the age of 13 and everytime i hear this song I think to when i was sitting on the couch at home and mum telling me we lost her
Rest in peace best of all drummers in the world. You leave us so heart broken, you guys are and will always be the soundtrack of my entire life!
Rest in Peace Taylor. You were such a gentle and loving soul, too good for this world. Such an amazing drummer and filled the stage with massive energy. Rest easy!
