This to me has got to be one of THE best songs of the 2000's. All memes aside, this song breaks the ABABCB formula, the vocals are straight from the heart, the music is compelling and full of energy, and the lyrics are brilliant. I don't think I've ever seen a song tackle depression, emotional abuse, and just the emotional struggle to move forward in life in such a universal, articulate, and inspiring way. Foo Fighters made a MASTERPIECE with this song, and it deserves to be remembered as much, in my opinion.

It's very sad. I remember first seeing him in the videos for Alanis Morrisette in the mid 90's and thinking, that drummer is special. He's got something about him. Then he joined Foo Fighters and really broke through. I was surprised to learn he struggled with heroin in the early 2000s, and was so happy when he pulled out of it. RIP Taylor.
