This game gives me so much chills. The sound design in the streets omg... The distant screams and howls, a shattering glass somewhere, a burning zombie around the corner and a goddamn runner breathing behind your neck, chasing you and not giving up for like 10 blocks, the metal and asphalt and plastic beneath your feet, and that relaxing sound when you clear the area to claim the safe zone... Chills in the morning, nightmares after dark. One of the most immersive games I've ever played.
It really has that special atmosphere. Such a masterpiece and maybe the best game in its genre and one of the best in history.

@@sinanuluc5143 absolutely. I remember buying it from Austria since it's banned in Germany when I was around 14-15 years old, loved it but also scared me so many times lol. Now I'm 22 and it still scares me sometimes, not because of some jumpscares but the overall atmosphere, music and story itself is pretty eerie sometimes.

I remember that perfectly, you feel inside that city abandoned by the hand of God
It's absolutely fantastic. I spent so many hours just sitting on a roof looking around, was having a beer / wine and imagined that I'm there. Fantastic game.

Oh, right. Yes, the background noise during the night, tho...... Mixed woth the pitch blackness, and the occational rhunder and lightning strike in the constant heavy rain..... That scared the crap out of me when i started to play this game. But we all know this game does something to you after the first playthrough.... At first, we were like, Gotta go fast, gotta run, no fighting! Hide! Theyre slow, i can jump over them. Thank god, a safezone. After, "ha ha, zombie head go C R O S H". This game changes a man. After a few weeks of mindless violence of killing zombies, your practically numb to everything, but the killing part never gets boring. Every head crush, aerial stah, head cut, arm rip, is satisfying. But those first few nights tho..... Still creepy.

I cannot stress this enough. Everytime I hear Horizon 1:14 I have to think about going to a high place and contacting the GRE. Every song from this soundtrack fits the games purpose but this is my "most recognizable" song

When I first began playing Dying Light in 2016, I met 3 friends that I unfortunately no longer talk to on the same daily basis.
We played every day, grinding to legend level 250 when the legend system came out. We were unstoppable when a night hunter would try to invade us. We made a vow to all get Dying Light 2 when it comes out, heres hoping they stuck to it.
Zach, Abel, Michael, I hope you guys see this. Lets play together again sometime.

When 6:16 kicks in at the end of the game and in the title screen, I am always in absolute awe. It perfectly encapsulates Crane's character and the general tone of the game. Probably my favorite track in the game, however, Horizon gives some steep competition.

I posted this comment two years ago. And I gotta say, this is definitely one of the most unique pieces of OST I have heard in my life. As a man with hundreds of games and OSTs on his belt, I can wholeheartedly say I have never once stumbled upon such unique combinations of melodies and sounds in a video game.
I thank the composer wholeheartedly, yet I can't help but feel a tinge of sadness knowing I won't experience something like this beyond this very small, hour long video.
one of many the things I loved about dying light was the music, I hope they get someone that can have the same type of music and just overall be like Blaszczak (the composer)

Поистине легендарная игра, не только в жанре зомби-хоррора, но и впринципе во всей игровой индустрии. Каждый трек из этого видео ассоциируется с каким то моментом, а это значит что работа саундпродюссера выполнена на 200%. Эта игра - вот замечательный пример сурвайвл хоррора, потому что когда я летом вечером иду домой, я вспоминаю о том, как я бежал вечером в ближайшую безопасную зону в этой игре.

@@lordofthegodsя считаю вторая игра передала нужные эмоции. В первой части наш главный герой застаёт те времена, их начало, где люди очень беспомощны и не знают как бороться с этой нечистью. Во второй же части люди адаптировались к жизни, научились защищаться и строить какие никакие баррикады, научились применять ультрафиолет, восстановили экосистему, пусть и на крышах домов. Вторая часть отображает прогресс этих 20 лет, и по совместительству развитие и история персонажа. Как мне кажется, если была бы другая сюжета, пусть и отличающийся, то она передала бы эмоции не те, как вы говорите, а ещё хуже, чем сейчас. Люди тогда прятались, верили до последнего в надежду, ждали когда их спасут, когда завершится кошмар, а во второй части люди научились жить с этим, бороться и противостоять. Даже 20 лет. Но все же у людей получилось не вымереть до конца, а встать на ноги и давать отпор до последнего, пусть и с типичной концовкой. Вторая часть по сути это уже развитая история, которая формировалась на протяжении этого времени. Разрабы молодцы, и саундтреки шикарные. Я доволен обеими играми.

Я хочу плакать .... Мне больно что тех воспоминаний из детства больше никогда не будет , даин лайт самая лучшая игра в которую я играл ..))) надеюсь когда нибудь когда я буду старым выйдет переиздание даин лайта и я со слезами на глазах буду в него играть
*Эх помню когда в 2018 году, начал проходить эту игру, первые эмоции от графики, музыки и сюжета, как же это было круто проходить, первая игра с другом, первая смерть и первый кирпичный дом, а потом после прохождения основной игры я нашел зе фоловинг, вот это да, вернуться бы туда обратно и переживать это время снова и снова. Как же мне сейчас не хватает тех эмоция которые я испытывал когда впервые её проходил. Помню как будто это было вчера, начинаться выходные(каникулы) я встаю рано утром, делаю себе большую кружку черного горячего чая, беру себе бутерброды и вкусняшки, сажусь за пк, и понимаю что меня ждет целый день крутых и незабываемых эмоций, и я по вечера играю и смотря на часы понимаю что пора спать, и что меня завтра ждёт точно такой же крутой день, я проходил её супер долго, в плане все рассматривал и изучал. Эх так хочу что-бы от второй части у меня остались такие же эмоции, и я бы написал спустя много лет комментарий о том что я скучаю по временам дайн лайта 2*

The "Strife" song is the one that comes up when you're fighting the guys in the school. One of the best moments in the game cus it was the first time you had to kill human enemies (I usually avoided the ones in random encounters until I found better weapons). That music made it perfect.

Every time i hear Horizon i get reminded of when i was young and playing this game. I would parkour around the city for hours and this banger would kick in. It made me feel unstoppable.

I remember when my little brother bought this game. I wasn't so interested, but after watching him playing this i wanted to try it too. After that i spent like hundreds or thousands of hours with my brother playing this game. Don't cry cause its over, smile cause it happened :)
The music and atmosphere of this game is top notch. Truly terrifying at first.
I love DL2 so far but Harran has so much more character and soul in its soundtrack and city.

@@t3xicbush181 true, they had 15 years to evolve lol. But i still think they should make them more standardized, like how they patrol the nights in the first game. That would start a chase, but with one volatile at chase lvl 1. To compensate for the difficulty of the chase, they would probably have to add a new tool that can make the nights easier, like a temporary gun (other than the boomstick)
Got the enhanced edition of the game on steam specials, enjoying every second of it. The game is "grindy" in single player, but the skills unlocked are totally worth it. And when you finally unlock the right gear and skills to roam freely during the night (you still have to be careful though), its totally worth it.

The scariest thing in this game to me are those zombies that actually sprint after you. There’s nothing more terrifying than seeing that thing coming at you then you turn around to run and you can hear it chasing you. It always gives me chills.

But now, i’m the one who hunts volatiles! And i am the one who gives player’s 5 99+ medkits and overpowered weapons. I love Dying Light’s community, i hope Dying Light 2 makes good memories like in the first one, because Dying Light is my favorite game of ALL i have played. Listening back this ost makes me a bit sad. The first game was such a clear labour of love for Techland. Everything was so well crafted and well thought out and the music was the icing on the cake that really sealed the deal for the experience.
I always knew DL2 wouldn't be the same. But having the small snippet of DL1's music and visual style kn the opening.. i don't know it really felt like a goodbye and I knew then the spirit wasn't going to be there anymore.

@@ShadowTheGameDev dl2 gives hope dl1 gives fear and dl2 is not scary , in dl1 i never go outside on the night (only missions) but when i play dl2 i can do all missions on the night
again i play dl1 a volatile sees me i dash an safezone , when i play dl2 a screamer sees me and screams i feel soo good because virals and volatiles chases me after i finish 4lvl chase i take soo much exp and open something
Sadly It didn't I was so hyped for dl2 but it lacked everything that made the first game so good the night time was no longer terrifying the combat got much worse than the first game the music was not nearly as good as the first game the parkour was bad compared to dl1 and the sound design and story was worse than the first game dying light 1 was great and the 2nd was just bad makes me sad they failed to make it as good or better than the first

I was walking through a junkyard yesterday looking for a rim for my truck. With the giant cell tower right in the middle of the yard, surrounded by stacks of cars, I totally felt like I was in game!

This music gives me so much nostalgia and makes me cry of how good the main story could be all the small details and all the zombies for me DL is the best game ever!

I played most of this game drunk. I was a stupid teenager trying to have a 'good time'. Anyway, I loved it the entire way.
It represent the loneliness I used to feel.
Great (but bitter) memories.
I stil remember playing for the first time and being amazing at how good the game is, I beat it multiple times and never got bored. 10/10

I like that from this soundtrack, everybody has their own favorite and share them among all the Dying Light fans. I played the game in my PS4 back in 2016, finished it with The Following. Now I'm away from home, studying aboard and got myself a switch to ease my stress in grad school. Recently Techland launched Dying Light The Platinum, I am so hype about it and finished the whole game again!! My dad gonna get me Dying Light 2 so I can play it after I get home from grad school to play in my PS4. SO EXCITED ABOUT IT. This music theme is the most mysterious theme I ever heard in my life. It makes you wonder about the probability if the same might happen in reality. It makes you feel peaceful and nostalgic, but vigilant at the same time as you never know what may happen tomorrow. It makes you a lonely fighter.
