The original Rockabilly sound makes these cars come alive 👍🏽
So much fun!
Enjoyed!!!!
Nice! Man there's some awesome sleds, watching again tonight 😊
👍😊
Very nice 😊I’m roaming around some where there 😅
Love the sites, not the sounds! Would rather hear the people, the engines and all of the other audible ambience of the event. The music destroys the reality of it all for me!!
Thanks for the feedback Rick! Always tricky trying to figure out what people enjoy. Sometimes if the background music is too loud at an event, RUclips will block it out for copyright violations. I'll keep it in mind for future event walkthroughs!
That show went from great to crap. Fire Trucks, Dump Trucks, Diesel Trucks, Low Riders dominate the car show, and has absolutely nothing to do with the Rockabilly 1950s culture. Several of the bands were good, but were drowned out by so many of the mediocre young L.A. Bands that ALL sound the same. The Hispanic crowd certainly is prominent in this event as evident by the Zoot Suits, Mariachi music blaring out of car stereo's , marijuana , and again - having nothing to do with the Rockabilly culture. Diluted and overpriced best described last weekends event. Many of us wont return.
I agree with you that it has gone downhill , we can blame the promoters for not sticking to the plan and overcharging at the gate . Going thru vehicle inspection is hell they search your ride like it was a border crossing , but even then, we always managed to bring in the liquor and beer . You know, I think we can all agree rockabilly is an outlaw culture from its beginnings , a culture of rebels doing things that no Square would dare of doing, so it's not surprising to have the zoot suiter
The teddy boy or the rebel indulging In what other people get offended with . Perhaps you should try a coffee and donuts type car show and stay away from shows we're true rebels live the life and are not there to about your taste or ideology of what a rockabilly should be like .
Long live chalino and Johnny Cash !!
Up your nose with a rubber hose sonny boy !
@@mariozermeno2649 I think the issue is the fact that it was still called “rockabilly.” It’s a subgenre of car culture that unfortunately is dying. Much of the car hobby is dying. Part of it is the expense, which ironically was what made this hobby so great: getting an affordable car, and hotrodding it on a budget. But the trend now is trucks. They’re still more or less affordable, and the younger owners grew up with them.
So, in order to keep the car hobby alive, they embraced ALL modified vehicles regardless of the style. Otherwise, restricting it to 50s and older, would result in a smaller attendance. And perhaps the cost of entry reduced attendance as well. Even Good Guys had to alter the age of the vehicles, so more could attend. But I have never been to Good Guys, despite being hosted twice a year 10 minutes away from me simply due to cost.
@UmmYeahOk next year I'm gonna drive out to Lake Havasu , Got word it's a better rockabilly show no trailer queens.
@@mariozermeno2649 There's nothing "Rockabilly" about Lake Havasu event. That sucks too. The best thing going are Fuss N Holler, New England Shake Up, Rythm Collision, and Western Swing Out
