Many yrs ago I was a model at the car shows, lowrider, Impalas, easy rider,...and what we wore (or didn't wear), how we posed, our look and shape etc...mattered very much. It's really different now, nice to see anyone can model if they want to, that is how it should be. The models were expected to not eat all day and smile for hours in heels in all kinds of poses in the heat, now it looks like the models have fun lol. We did too but not until the shoot was over.
Just don't ever see any panel vans. I have a 49 Dodge panel full custom .it was in 4 Popeye chicken Commercials. People absolutely love it . Great video.
2024 was the first Viva that my wife and I were able to attend. We had a great time. Everyday was memorable but Saturday was an absolute blur for my wife and I. The sun, music, car show, and then drinks by the pool really took it out of us. We slept well that night. Thank you for posting this video. We ran into a lot of the car owners that you spoke with. Great people.
Hi Duke and Lola, great video. Our first Viva was 2005 and our Kids/grandkids have been to a bunch of them. We haven't been since 18, but still enjoy watching. Take Care
Hi Duke and Lola,! Another great video, as always. The car show season is about to start, here in the Pacific Northwest and I am looking forward to more of your event coverage. Happy Tiki, Lola!
When I say that black/white checker interior! If I’ve pulled over to take a nap 💤 then woke up 😳I would think, I was on the floor 😵💫on the way to the Orleans “Frank, Frank, FRANK” turn around 😳it was Lola/ You(Duke) 🥰Lola was the “Lady in Red”! Looking forward to your next Video 🤗Thanks, for the sticker 😬
Great video of a great event. We were there as well and had a blast of a time! We shot video of a walkthrough of nearly every car at the show on Saturday. Id love to post a link to it if that would be OK with you. Cant wait for next year.
Haha. Well, Rockabilly and Kustom Kulture are what this channel is about. So there will always be music, especially when someone is playing copywritten music in the background that we have to cover over.

One of your grooviest,, cool cat car show documentaries. Why do we never see any chopped, low riding Lincoln Continental cars from the 1940's; WW2 area ?
camera work blows, all that footage and you never pinned one WHOLE car in a single frame? what were not supposed to see what the car looks like as one? just sections at a time? what gives? too much wanna be discovery channel clonage . . . the first car you roole dup on you gave is a 1/16th nano second peek at the interior thru the drivers window? really?
This is truly nothing against your video. What a shit show viva is now, just sad. After Ingram screwed everything up with Alex and the car show left the parking structure at the gold coast I knew it was doomed and this is just evidence. Just let it die people, the good times passed almost 20 years ago.
It's a different show for sure, but people do still love it. Sounds like you have moved on, and that is OK. Hope you find something new you enjoy in life.

I hope this never goes away. True Americana in every way.
Love that Pink Thunderbird...beautiful
Me too!
I personally love these videos because, no matter how hard you try, you just don't get to see EVERYTHING! thanks Duke and Lola.
Our pleasure! And we miss more than we capture ourselves! Viva is madness.
As always thank you and Lola for taking us all along with you! Spectacular
Our pleasure

Nice! Sounds like you really do enjoy it.
The purple and white on that '59 Buick gets me, too....pretty much any purple, really, haha!
It also had spider webs on it, not easily seen on camera. :)
Awesome cars and trucks ,thanks for sharing that duke …. Enjoy seeing you both…
Lola and I make quite the dynamic duo, don't we? Thanks for tuning in!
@@BossaNovaLife you sure do make a great team..

Great video and thanks for not adding any stupid music to it and letting the cars do the talking

Sounds like you never made it past the first 30 seconds. Oh well. Can't make everyone happy with free content.

It was best the first 5 to 7 years, more greaser crews, skins, punks, psychobilly, the subculture scene is not like it once was. @@BossaNovaLife
@@francisdorcell6952 Yeah. I miss the Psychobilly. :)
20 yrs? How lazy is this guy.
Haha. Hobby's are supposed to be fun. No need to rush a project car.
