- I know this video might not be needed for a few years but here it is anyway. Curious what's inside a GBD200? Look no further, this video takes a look at the inside components of the GBD-200 and also shows you how to change the battery if needed.

That flex (ribbon) cable is not a sensor. It connects display to the mother board…

Liked the video, but it made me wonder if mom and pop shops use thumb tacks and bare skin to fuddle around in my watches during a battery replacement haha.
What is the purpose of the AC reset? What happens of you do not do it?

Just got the watch and messed up the diagnostic mode (got stuck on ‘WAIT’ screen when try to update the fonts), thought replacing the battery would fix it and it did, thanks for this video!
Any insight on the diagnostic mode would be great tho 🤙🏼
How do you enter that mode
@@NotsoPHYSale you press the A (Disp), C (Mode) and D (Lap) buttons simultaneously, then you will enter the watch’s diagnostic mode

Nice video. But it's a bad move from Casio. A smartwatch with step tracker and without a rechargeable battery? Sorry but that's non-sense in 2021.
Most smartwatches need tobe recharged daily (apple watch) weekly (ish mostly samsung and lower end garmins) multi weekly (hgher end garmins) 50days ish (a random garmin) but this one lasts up to two years. that’s insane for a smartwatch

Have any aftermarket mod part manufacturers came out with an all metal case for this? the module looks pretty straight forward to remove. Would be a great DIY mod!
Not all people are capable of doing this battery replacement process .. I wish if they used the same method of the suunto core black watch .. anyhow I will wait for hopefully a solar powered version of this awesome watch

@@ravenandthestranger It's their loss, they can add another 50-75 maybe even 100 dollars and add solar/heart beat and some software tweaks, I see a gap in this price point, there are lots of smart watches but none come with build quality of G Shock and frankly this square/hexagon model is quite unique and that is the first thing that will attract anyone who wants something other than rectangles and circles.

Can you do a video about ''Unlock Hidden menus on the G-Shock GBD-200''? I discovered recently this watch have a hidden menu, but there a lot of strange things and i didn't wanted to broke my watch, i just received this few days ago as a gift in green colour, i love this watch and i dont want to broke. Maybe you have time to check for us, please.

Hello, it's not necessary to remove the bracelet. By slightly removing the black plastic, the metal plate has been removed. I just did it. My watch froze as soon as I changed screens, I couldn't access any settings.
An exclamation mark was present at the bottom right of the screen.
you really have to remove the straps so you can open the cover. I watch my hubby changed a lot of GShock battery(s).
Was that a torx bit you used? My GBD-200 watch bolts appear to be hex heads.
Do you know if there are adaptors for this so I can put a nato on ? I hate this band

you should have left the watch on the table and taken it apart so we could see each layer,,,and i wouldn't have to watch the shakey video. it's a very sloppy handling and a screw could pop and land wherever
