I came from the 13 Pro Max to the 16 Pro Max and I have to tell you it’s an outstanding telephone. The biggest thing that I found is the weight difference between the stainless steel and the titanium massive difference.
Yeah same. I'll see how I feel next year or the year after, but I just can't shake the fact that the phone hasn't let me down at all. It still easily lasts me all day, I can take banger photos consistently (especially if I shoot in ProRaw), it's still plenty powerful, plays demanding games with ease, etc. I've never had a phone this old work this well still. So, I'm not really going to complain that I don't feel super compelled to part with my money yet.
Such a sensible summary by you. The phone is the brand new iPhone flagship, so obviously it is refined and works perfectly, with or without AI. So I don't understand what other tech reviewers are complaining about. What did they even want from the 16 that they are not getting and that is compelling them to act sooooo disappointed? Obviously, NO ONE who owns a 15 or a 14 already needs to run to the store to buy this! But if you need to upgrade from an older iPhone, why the heck will you NOT buy this one? What have I not understood here? Why would a 13 owner with a cracked screen be disappointed with a brand new 16?!
😂😂 they keep advertising Apple intelligence, yet when you buy the phone there's no full apple intelligence feature. It's a slow roll out for a year, heck two years if you're not in the US. That's why a lot of people dislike it. It's not a complete phone when they sell it
I’ve been absolutely adoring the new photographic styles, totally changes how I feel about iPhone cameras. I’ve always preferred the more contrasty look my Pixel and Samsungs give me in photos and now my iPhone has that due to the control I have. Toying around with some of them is also fun, Gold looks gorgeous, and Natural keeps shadows more intact
I just bought my 16 pro max and I adore it! the camera is absolutely amazing :) I came from the 14 pro so the bigger screen is a refresh and it just has amazed me. love it.
I got the 16 pro in natural titanium 1tb. I filmed an unboxing and first impressions on my channel. So far this phone has been comfortable in my hands and the camera quality.... amazing!!!!

Hey Canoopsy! I think many reviewers and some consumers are upset because phone/tech companies are slow to innovate anymore. I think the general public is still trying to wrap their minds around that because that wasn’t always the case. You said yourself, that the iPhone 16 is a good phone but not much different than the 15, and I agree, but Apple is still charging a premium for the phone. I upgraded from the 14PM to 16PM and I honestly do have buyers remorse. Today, the phone as is, doesn’t do anything special or different than the 14. Apple Intelligence (AI) is not even available, fully. I’m also testing the betas and they’re some of the buggiest betas I’ve tested . This is for the initial release of AI. I appreciate Camera Control but it’s actually much faster to use the camera and settings, the previous way. And praising Apple for FINALLY adding a level of customization, isn’t good enough. It’ll probably be this way until Artificial Intelligence helps us create technology we couldn’t dream of. Soon.
Forget the yearly upgrade. I have 11 pro max and i am still not impressed enough to get the 16 PM. I was so hoping to upgrade this year. Seriously 11 pro max is still relevant.
I think the regular Pro is more of a S+ update because of the larger screen with thinner bezel, the new (for it) 5x zoom lens, new 48 mp ultrawide lens, metal battery case, camera control button, and faster Qi charging.
Upgrading from a iPhone 12 Mini and really nervous. I used to only use my phone for making calls, texting, a few pictures, videos, and sometimes gig-work if I wanted to on the side. What should I expect when upgrading? I received a really good deal from my carrier where I don't start paying for the data plan until 2026. So, I bit the bullet to upgrade.
Here’s another idea for you: get the battery replaced if it gets too low for your needs! It’s actually quite affordable if you put it next to a new phone

I tested the new 48 mpx ultra wide at night and it was much noisier than the 15s pro Max. Not a worth upgrade coming from the 15 pro Max. Returned it. Waiting for the 17 slim.

I’m undecided. Do I keep the 14 pm I have now, trade it in to get the 16, buy the S24 ultra when it goes on sale or wait for the S25 ultra when it comes out in in January? I am fully Apple ecosystem entrenched but turned off by their unrelenting greed. Selling an unfinished phone while its competitors have had many more features such as anti reflective screens, brighter clearer screens, split screen capability and Ai for years makes me wonder about Apple? Ultimately I’d like to buy a fully featured phone with a battery that lasts more than 3 days? The nickel-hydrogen batteries on the space station last 6.5 years. You’d think Samsung and Apple could come up with something that lasts a week?

Kind of disappointed with the feature allowing us to access lower frame rates of the 4K120 video. All it does is SLOW the video rather than convert it. Resulting in the fkn audio also slowing down. Just… WHY?! That isn’t how that feature is supposed to work. 😖
