RSF is definitely the most straightforward but I think the fact that most people are given that option now as their first and only port of call due to the resurgence in popularity of this game, which is due to the whole racing sim genre gaining a lot of attention in the last few years, especially since covid when people were cooped up in their houses looking for something to do. I've recently started playing RSF RBR and I cant complete the rally school. At the end of the basic section you need to be Richards passenger, unfortunately every time I do the lesson the game crashes as the car starts to rev, I've tried with a load of different cars and its always the same. I assume it has something to do with the mods, is this a common issue?
No, the installer uses the files from the torrent. In order to update the game you download a new installer file but the torrented files stay the same. The reason they had to do this is because the game got too popular and they couldn't afford the hosting fees anymore.
If it doesn't recognise the steering axis.. change the degrees to 180° in the wheel software, bind it ingame..and then you can change the rotation in the wheel software back to how you want it.
Is there anything that can be done for cars that don't have a hood camera? Some just have the wheel cam (which often hinders your view with the sponsor band on the top of the windshield), or the front bumper camera, which sits way too low to the ground. Is there a way to create a custom camera view?
A few tips... set your clutch to go to 100 percent when it's halfway pushed in. At default the clutch only disengages with the pedal pushed almost all the way in. By setting it to half.... when you press your clutch in it will disengage at half pedal pressure. Makes a huge difference. Also if your having issues with saves not saving. Find your saved games folder... and your saved file... properties...unclick read option.... then save your settings. Then click read again. For whatever reason you have to do this anytime you make a save. Also be sure to keybind.... help with car (forgot the exact name) basically if you go off track you hold this button and fans will assist you with getting your car back on the track. To change FOV....and a few other settings....Press LEFT or RIGHT mouse click when on a rally course...or anywhere your in the car. Make sure to save any changes. Also can be done during replays,
Regarding disk space: RBR is pretty good on disk usage. I noticed my Assetto Corsa is currently at 170 GB (with 108 track folders, but not counting ribbons), and my Dirt Rally 2.0 is at 109 GB, so RBR at 130 GB, including the 13 "red" stages (not used in online because although nice, they have issues) making a total of 508 stages, (waiting on Zlin to be included) is quite amazing. DR2 doesn't come near that number of stages, and the RBR car numbers seem somewhere around half my current Assetto car numbers. I did notice some duplicate install (mapXXX.7z) files in the root of RBR, but I just manually deleted those when I saw they were the same as those in the torrent. That 130 GB also includes all the source files in "rsf_installer_files" in the game's root (approx 30 GB) which is now the location used to avoid re-downloading existing content during updates.
@@KvltKommando Nah, 2.5 gig for the original, including a couple of small mods (dlls) to allow 16x9 fullscreen. I found a link to the original all zipped up here on youtube. The RSF full install includes NGP 7, nearly 100 cars, and over 500 stages, so much more content.
TIP: (did'nt catch in video if it was mentioned) I had issue with detecting my CSL DD was it would not "see" my wheel. I set the steering rotation down to as low as it would go, wiggled wheel back n forth quickly and then it would recognize it. Then I set back to my desired setting. Hope this helps someone as it did me.
Thank you for this, but a little shame how you only chose to show stages and cars with bad graphical quality. Show the new people a stage like Walim, Valstagna or Gabiria with a car that has a nice RBRHUD dash and internal textures, it's far more likely they would get interested in the game. Not flipping Berica from the chase cam...

I only have one request that u show me how I can install the Subaru N12.
Has anyone else had this problem? I had completed the first 4 stages of a rally, no super rally, and had to go to work so I logged out and went to resume the rally later. Upon loading the game, I noticed that they rally I was half way through had completely dissapeared. I checked the expiry date of the rally which stated there is 5 days left on the rally so I am completely confused as to how to continue the rally as I was sat first in class. Any help would be appreciated.
Great video!
I'm new to BRB, which "Slow cars" do you recommend for beginners? I'm coming from WRC and Rush Rally, but I recently switched to using a proper racing wheel so I want to ease the learning curve a bit.
low HP FWD are the perfect to start off with. the Skoda Favorit 136 is my personal fav in game
Thank you for this, really appreciated! down loading torrent as I type :-)
RBR RSF is real rally simulator. Dirt Rally, WRC - just beutiful arcades.
2:42 she actually starts talking about the install
There actually ARE visual notes available in the game, BUT many online rallies do not allow them to be used so it's best not to use them.
would i be able to download the the other stages later on if i choose not to include them yet?
yes, you only have to run the instaler and select the stages you want to install
My Lenovo 2022 laptop cant hand 60fps on mods
considering its such an old game and that it takes a lot of space, is there any reason to put it on SSD?
No I have it on an external HDD and load times are not that long
starts @2:37
Is there Any more games like rbr and nr2003
Hi, is there any video showing how to setup my wheel, I'm on a Fanatec CSL DD. Thanks
btw this video does not give any explenation on that so , starter guide surely not
will not launch for me using windows 11.
i've done all the suggested things and still won't work
All g i got it sorted!
@@Default-YT80 Hi! What was the solution thx?
Do you suggest me to start “climating” with the game trying the vanilla content or should I start directly from mods? I was a tester for old VRC mods for assetto corsa but never got into rbr properly
Start with rallysimfans rbr
I have a problem woth countdown. Sticks on 4 and through me out of the game .
It keeps asking the certificate of the website is expired, do you wish to continue and it’s asking for every single file in the set up, already clicked for 100 times almost, going to give up

If you dont want the mods and online you can just emulate ps2 a ok
Dirt 2 is already 100GB, my modded AC is already 200GB and modded RBr is 100GB? yikes. too much for me
you can pick n choose tracks, i got it down the 7gbs on my 2 core shitbox device
Can you do a tutorial on how to get a like torrent thing so I can install the game?
can you just play an offline campaign or something?
Is there any other open source racing or rally games like this one?
It freezes and crashes when loading and I cant figure whats the problem, can someone help me?
Doinked a tree™- Emily Jones Inc 2023.
Good guide as a lot of this info is hard to find in one place.
I've never had that issue
@@zachmtb8432 Does it work with all the cars for you?
It’s downloading the torrent absolutely necessary? Couldn’t I just install the installer and be done with it?
No, the installer uses the files from the torrent. In order to update the game you download a new installer file but the torrented files stay the same. The reason they had to do this is because the game got too popular and they couldn't afford the hosting fees anymore.
Anyone know of a video of how to install the Jannes pace notes
I cant find the rsf_installer_files file can someone help me please
Works fine on a controller.
why does it feel kinda sus to install?
It does. I don't trust torrents one bit. Nascar Racing 2003 season is about thee same age, but a lot easier, and no torrenting.
How do you get the game to detect your steering wheel
If it doesn't recognise the steering axis.. change the degrees to 180° in the wheel software, bind it ingame..and then you can change the rotation in the wheel software back to how you want it.
thank you!!!!!!
Has anyone tried this on a game pad?
probably first woman that is playing rally games
Patience Isle
Is there anything that can be done for cars that don't have a hood camera? Some just have the wheel cam (which often hinders your view with the sponsor band on the top of the windshield), or the front bumper camera, which sits way too low to the ground. Is there a way to create a custom camera view?
You can remove windscreen in rbr launcher and double right click in stage to get the correct camera position
Also can be done during replays,
Ahaaaaaaaaa😂
what if i have this game on disc
Its probably still best to go for the RSF version they've made a lot of improvements
Great ..... RBR beer coaster 🍺
That 130 GB also includes all the source files in "rsf_installer_files" in the game's root (approx 30 GB) which is now the location used to avoid re-downloading existing content during updates.
it's still 100+gb for a game from 2004.
TIP: (did'nt catch in video if it was mentioned)
I had issue with detecting my CSL DD was it would not "see" my wheel. I set the steering rotation down to as low as it would go, wiggled wheel back n forth quickly and then it would recognize it. Then I set back to my desired setting. Hope this helps someone as it did me.
I still like Sega Rally better.
How DARE they show what's in the game!? This is straight up BULL SHIT!
@JZStudiosonline Bullshit is one word not two
On the other hand it's fair to show what people can expect, and the most of stages look like what is presented here.
Abdullah Heights
FOV is pronounced F O V and not one word. Creates more confusion than you would think.
Your pc needs to be a computer... wtf I'm getting ready to le.........
The PS2 version is not quite the same as the PC version so I would stay away from it.
WHERE THE FUCK DO I FIND THE STUPID FOLDER THAT HAS THE RSF IVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR 30 FUCKING MINUTES
stop telling me to buy things i cant afford
Bro she only suggested you to use a wheel but it's not a requirement, using a controller or even keyboard is fine too. Take a chill pill dude
Do you know what YWNBAW means?
Install too confusing for my brain.. I’m out
I came for rbr, kept watching coz you are so cute :p
So stupid you have to use a torrent. I don't trust that.
Tried getting the torrent files and now my pc has a virus and is royally screwed over and requires a full factory reset 👍
brilliant tutorial 💀

I understand physics and driving are good. But having to go through so many hurdles just to setup things and playing an oudated 20yrs old game no thanks. I'll just go and play dr2 or wrc. I just want to have fun not punish myself
Trust me the initial process can be meh but once it's set up it's good to go and there's so many stages compared to Amy other rally game so you'll almost never be bored.
My chrome keeps saying "virus detected" from the rallysimfans_installer_v1.51.pdf
I putted in the installer to dowload the tracks for the multiplayer and tournament but it says that are not installed, anyone helps? 🥲
You need to grab the torrent and then run the installer otherwise it won't work.
