    Well, at least it looks pretty on a lovely Summer's day! Great video, as ever, Mikael. Good, honest opinions - I agree, without proportional control this truck has limited appeal, except for the guys with a box of spare hobby grade electronics! Nicely done, my friend. :)

      Yeah, body looks great in the forest. But, at least for me, not much fun with the toy-gradish electronics. It’s pretty much the same electronic set-up as the Maisto my son got when he was about 2 years old 😅 It was great fun for him and he still runs it occasionally but I’m 44 and need a little more 😂😅

      And thanks a lot for watching, Mark! Hope you’re having a splendid English Sunday 🙂

    Yup i already owned this model,not a best like 144001 or mn99(like you said no proportional throttle+steering/hard tyres,but its still fun for playing,design are not bad..mostly owners will make project for customization/upgrading electronic/battery/servo and so on..by the way nice video/review 👍😉

      Hi bro. I agree. Great for fun rides and a good body.

    I 100% feel these are bad, until you spend some extra money to completely changed the system and changed the tiers soft, best rig now, other wish forget this one. I feel the body is worth it... I do enjoy mine after changes. Thanks!

    • @NordicRC

      Yeah, of one can upgrade the electronics without too much cost it will definitely be a fun rig and a great body on the trail

    Nice video Mikael looks like it was a handful to drive good job keeping on the path👊👍🏻💯😀

      Ha ha, yeah, quite difficult to try to go trailing with a non-proportional control and even one-handed while filming 😂😅 Not recommended. Thanks a lot for watching, Brent.

    I love your filming on this video, top job Mikael
    As for the car i have nothing to say :)
    4-6 mins of running time reminds me of running rc cars in the 80's

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  4 года назад +1

      Thanks a lot, my good friend. Having some software problems with the new HEVC file format though. It isn’t able to render it smoothly. Oh, well, I think one gets a good idea of the car anyway. And yeah, not much to say about it, other than I like the body 🙂 Ha ha, yeah, a 1200 mah in a 1/10th scale reminds me of a Grasshopper in the 1980s too 😅

      @@NordicRC Yeah i noticed it was lagging a bit in some segments of the video. I agree about the body, it looks nice :)

  • @HaydadRC

    Nice testing Mikael!😊👍 I think they swung and missed on this one. The scale body surely cost more to produce, but this one’s too expensive I think.
    Might this become a project for you to make it hobby grade?

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  4 года назад +1

      Thanks, Jeremy! Yeah, I think they spend all the money making the body. Body’s very cool ... But the rest ... hmm ... to be honest, not for me 🙂 I have thought about throwing some spare hobby-grade electronics in it, just to try it out, but I’m not even sure if it is worth the time. Needs soldering etc ... Must spend the hobby time more wisely I think 😅 Thanks a lot for watching, Jeremy.

      Hi my friend! Yeah, could be fun, not sure if it’s worth buying new electronics for, but I got some spare un-used ... but then again, not sure if it’s worth the time 🙂😅

  • @leirameirarc
    @leirameirarc 4 года назад +1

    WLToys usually make much better cars than this... Non-proportional? What were they thinking? Great body though and I love the video, your editing is perfect!

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  4 года назад

      Yeah, I think they are trying to tap in on the WPL RC car market. You know, the one with the crappy electronics and the great bodies 🙂 Just think the modification-options are better with the WPL, with the drive-train and optional upgrades available. But thanks a lot for watching, Fannar. It could have been a fun model if it came with hobby-grade electronics.

    Suspension doesn't exist here, even oil filled?
    And why 60fps while it is recorded in 30fps...

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  4 года назад +2

      Hi! It is recorded in 60 FPS and rendered in 60 fps. See description. Having trouble with the new 4K HEVC format and my Adobe editing software. It just doesn’t render it very smoothly and sometimes freezes and ‘flickers’ the image. Luckily these were the last HEVC files I had I think. So gonna film/edit in HD until I figure out how to solve the Adobe problem (if it can be solved).

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  4 года назад +1

      Flex in suspension is okay. But yeah not oil filled shocks. But it needs hobby-grade electronics much more than oil I think.

    This would be excellent in a Speed Trailing event 😄. I must say I 'm impressed it didn't roll over during it's speedy journey. Unless that was down to editing. But it does have wide axles which help keep it stable. Good to see you're enjoying the same beautiful summer we are having here. Your video was very nice to watch Mikael 🌞🙂👍

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  4 года назад +1

      Thank you, Derek! Yeah, no roll overs at all. Most of the running was in the vid. Low battery run time. I don’t know why, but it use up the battery real quick. And yeah, well, this was shot some time ago. I think in June. July has only had 3-4 sunny summer days 🙃

    • @hollyhillrc
      @hollyhillrc 4 года назад +1

      @@NordicRC I guess using two reasonably quick motors that only run on full throttle, a combination esc/ receiver, a servo and all the leds drain a 1200mAH battery quite quickly. I hope your summer sun returns soon my friend 🙂👍

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  4 года назад +1

      Yeah, and maybe also the weight. My son has a similar electric set-up on his Maisto that he got when he was younger. It’s smaller, weighs less and doesn’t have LED’s but as far as I remember it could run forever on a 600 mah 7.2v. So I kinda expected more than 4-6 minutes with this one.

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  4 года назад +1

      And thanks, Derek! Hope there’s summer out on the Atlantic Island. Weather was okay this weekend, windy and a little cloudy but also a bit sunny and warm. Tomorrow it’s raining again 😅 But have a great Sunday, no matter the weather, my good friend.

    They release the amazing 144001 for only $80 that we all love then we get this pos with bang bang steering? Cmon wl toys you are better then this.

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  4 года назад

      Yeah! Even though it’s bigger (especially the body would cost a lot more to produce) I really expected more too. And if one was to upgrade the electronics the price would be much more than the final result with this chassis. So I do not think it’s worth it, unless one has some spare electronics not in use.
