I DISAGREE with this analyst most of the time. Simply because I disagree with an analyst most of the time and they are bearish on a stock I'm bullish on does NOT mean they don't occasionally make VALID points and criticism that is warranted. That is part of being a GREAT INVESTOR is finding the valid criticism among the negative trash and not just dismissing it as ALL trash. If you only listen to forever bulls or analysts that you Agree with 100% of the time, you will miss the blindspots in your investments. We saw this play out in real time with Tesla in 2021 into 2022.
Recently bought some recommended stocks and now they are just penny stocks. There seems to be more negative portfolios in the last 3rd half of 2023 with markets tumbling, soaring inflation, and banks going out of business. My concern is how can the rapid interest-rate hike be of favor to a value investor, or is it better avoiding stocks for a while?
Just ''buy the dip'' man. In the long term it will payoff. High interest rates usually mean lower stock prices, however investors should be cautious of the bull run, its best you connect with a well-qualified adviser to meet your growth goals and avoid blunder
Yes, I've been in constant touch with a Financial Analyst for approximately 8 months. You know, these days it's really easy to buy into trending stocks, but the task is determining when to sell or keep. Purchasing a stock may seem straightforward, but selecting the correct stock without a proven strategy can be exceedingly challenging. Look for stocks that have paid steady, increasing dividends for years (or decades), and have not cut their dividends even during recessions. Alternatively speaking to a certified market strategist can help with pointers on equities to acquire.

you have no way of backing up your statement. It's just an option. And a shortsighted one at that.
I just finished FSD driving with 2 neighbors and now we are on our way to Tesla to purchase 2 new Teslas! You have to try it. My neighbor is a Mechanical Engineer and the other is a diesel mechanic and both are blown away. 2 new Tesla owners by end of the day.

When price goes down they downgrade. When price goes up they upgrade. Literally doesn't mean anything. Analysis of the company is the only thing that matters.

The worst investment strategy I have ever seen is buy when analysts recommend to buy (for Tesla at 250 last year) and sell when analysts recommend to sell (for Telsa at 160 this year). I found there is no more consistent way to buy high and sell low if you follow analysts recommendations every time.
The problem is FSD, which is great, is level 2. The delta to L4 is not trivial and hard to achieve it in just a few months. So I don't see robotaxi products on the road this year.

I was trying to find the news about Elon recently asking for compensation package worth something like 88 Billion but all i could find is the news about a Delaware court rescinding his previous 56 Billion package.
Could you talk about what it would mean for investors of Tesla if the board grants Elon another huge compensation package?
Absolutely, the end of a hype run isn't signal by a reaction down to bad news, it is signaled by no reaction to good news. Analogous for anti-hype run, whatever that's called.
Did anyone do any research on the Citi analyst? This guy has never had a buy rating on Tesla and big BUY ratings on Lucid, GM, and Ford for the past 5 years. It's not what I would call someone to trust using his results.
Please tell me this guy didn't encourage people to buy Lucid!

The Citigroup analyst has recommended a buy on Fisker and Lucid and has buy ratings on GM and Ford and has never recommended a buy on Tesla… I would take the Citi note with a HUGE grain of salt.

Dumped 1500 shares for small gain 😢. Just couldn’t handle the Tesla story anymore. Moving some into shiny PLTR.
Things look pretty dark for tesla for the next year, but you can never count Elon out so I still have a long position even though I have sold half of my shares and also some puts so I am covered either way, but I would never bet the farm on tesla like some people suggest.
And cybertruck hours have been adjusted down for employees 😢
Why is this because all the fools that wanted to pay a stupid amount of money for an adult toy, are done and there are no more, the truck has a lot of problems, and the uniqueness has worn off
The excitement has worn off...it's now just an overpriced vehicle.
I fear the 8/8 reveal will be a "meh" for investors looking for financial details, but it will be a "omg" event for investors locking to the tech.

Anyone using Tesla's FSD v12.3.3 or v12.3.4 knows that autonomy is getting close. It's already better than the average human driver.

@@singed8853 Many report otherwise, and it drove a guy with a heart attack to a hospital. A little progress. Thing with tech is the improvement gets really good, really fast. Remember, you are responding in real-time to real video to real humans on real equipment and infrastructure that didn't exist for most of our lifetimes. FSD is already better in some categories. With 1billion miles in the neuro net already, it won' t be long.
@@singed8853 Obviously you haven't used FSD v12.3.4. Alternately, people who are bad drivers might not like it since it doesn't drive like they do. There are so many bad human drivers on the road: aggressive, inattentive and just plain dumb.
@@StormyDog I have seen 12.3.3 take certain actions that would have resulted in an accident if not for intervention. And that's only from watching around 40min of videos. That's unacceptable. A normal driver does not get into an accident during entire years of driving. A normal driver is able to reverse their car. A normal driver knows not to sit in other drivers blind spots.
I can't comment on 12.3.4 - but watching even hours of video for any version is not sufficient for me to conclude it drives better than an average driver. I need credible statistics and if positive and credible statistics exist - you can rest assured that Tesla will report them. They have not. All Tesla has done is report statistics that exclude accidents occurring immediately after intervention. Those statistics are not credible arbiters of the safety of FSD for obvious reasons.
i dont disagree with what youre saying. but realistically investing in growth is just risky. by the time things are tangible the stock is trading at 100x PE. In my opinion if your strategy requires right now results it just seems like these companies are not for you. You will always be taking some leap of faith they will follow through when trying to get companies like tesla at a reasonable price. i buy my shares and i buy insurance. Thats how i sleep soundly.
China now has some great new companies making good looking electric cars. Tesla is going to sell a lot less cars in China. They aren’t the only player anymore

Thank you!!! It is hard and I know this analyst is very bearish on Tesla, but he makes valid points this time around. I usually disagree with him but this time I don't and that is part of being a great investor is accepting criticism of your investments when its valid.

if you actually look into the guy who wrote this city article, hes never had a buy rating on tesla, he thinks GM is good at self driving tech, he recommends rivian stock, he recommended fisker stock at 28$, and he has had a buy rating on ford and GM for 5 years lol......
waymo is WAY to expensive, not practical, has no data. and cruze is just as dead as the lady they ran over...
that tells you all you need to know about this guy....

I think Elon should go out on stage and lie about robotaxis the way he went out on stage and lied about that Tesla semi.
You are aware that the Tesla semi exists, right?
I am aware that it does not ‘outcompete’ diesel trucks in a ‘worst case scenario’ as Elon said out on stage. He said that ‘to be clear this is something we can do right now’. I am aware he announced this product would be produced in 2019 and that here in 2024 Pepsi is their only customer and reported only having 21 Tesla semis as of end of 2023.
Talk is cheap. Elon should go out there and tell us robotaxis will ‘outcompete’ rail in a worst case scenario and defeat air travel in a best case.
@@singed8853 Yes, Elon has a reputation for making the impossible merely late. The macro sucks, particularly for interest rate sensitive investments. The speed of Tesla's data accumulation and compute power is staggering. Good luck out there!

Citi does know anything - why are you putting so much value into what they say when they don’t know anything more than anybody else. I’m so close to block on this channel. It’s nothing but gloom and doom.
Go block it and find an echo chamber. No sensible content creator with a spine is going to change their opinions to suit what you want to hear. Those that do have nothing to offer.
I posted above about the Citi reference, but it is very helpful to have a skeptical view. Those "To The Moon" t-shirts and coffee mugs didn't help a lot of people. In fact, I am sure many young investors have been turned off by Tesla's price action. That's not by accident. It's all politics, with huge stakes at this point. If Tesla succeeds, many will fail (financially). Never block Luke's channel. Never block Fox or MSNBC, either. Listen. The truth is in there somewhere, but it isn't being delivered by ANY one trusted source.
