AMD has always been volatile but if you have patience it always shows up in the end.
Yes but it's current PE ratio is way overvalued and it will go through some correction. But buy the dip when that happens.

Bought AMD on march. Down almost 25%. Gonna hold and buy more on these dips. Should be up this year.

Also affecting the stock price is there were reports last week, that China has a mandate to not use foreign chips (Intel and AMD) in its telecom systems by 2027, and one of the article says AMD gets 15% of its revenue from China. It’s worse for Intel since they get 27% revenue from China.
China is so behind, most of their laws are knee jerk reactions. most don’t follow the laws they outlawed fentanyl and steroids production they are still the worlds biggest suppliers. Their domestic chips are at least 10 years behind.

I'm a bit surprised you'd do an analysis and not at least do a simple DCF to see the intrinsic value of AMD. Basing stock prices on market multiples is a very limited way of analysing a stock. You're a CFA and I'd expect a high level DCF model takes literally 5 mins for you.
