Howdy DJ! That is pretty darn cool! How fun! I think my favorite was the gingerbread speeder. Nicely done and thanks for sharing 🤠
3:00 Now, that's a "Motor-Home!" John
My favorite was the Chessie system.I remember seeing these on the old I.C./ICG.grew up watching these unique little speeders.
Very cool, thanks for sharing. 👍
Thanks for watching!
I think my favorite is the yellow and red Fire Truck in the background.
I’ve driven a red fire engine as well as yellow engines, truck and crash truck but never a yellow & red emergency vehicle. IMHO, driving a yellow & red fire engine would be the best of both worlds!
DJ were you aware the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots drives start in October, so almost half way through November and this video is perfect,IMHO!! Especially for the week before Thanksgiving when in this holiday season we need to be thankful for all of our service members who often literally put their lives on the line for us. It used to be said that if you can read & write thank a teacher, but if you can read & write in English thank a soldier (service member)!! Plus, if you take Christ out of Christmas, then what do you have? I’ll get down off my soap box now. Thanks! 🇺🇸
Cheesie System got my vote.. only cause I didn't see no Conrail eh!.
cool you and Nathan hung out for a bit. Guess we can't call him a good kid anymore.. he all grown up
I know! We go back a long way. So proud of him
Cool! My favorite was the silver with a green stripe. I think it said "NY Central." Close second would be (of course) the Chessie/B&O one at the end.
Best Xmas paint job was the gingerbread house one.
Loved Mt. Pleasant and some of the fun festivals they have there.
Thanks, DJ!
Very cool. I remember riding the rails in one. CN Washago Ontario up the Newmarket Sub in the mid/late 70's with my grandfather. CN Orange, had handles like a wheelbarrow to remove it while train passed. Believe up here they were sometimes referred to as a jigger.
Once early on in my railroading years I had the misfortune of being called to flag one of these "motor handcars" from the Boston Freight Terminal to Cedar Hill over the Shoreline in the dead of winter. Upon arriving at Cedar Hill I discovered there was only one tiny spot on my body not yet frozen. Can you guess where that spot was?
That was a lot of fun, DJ and seeing all the speeders it was really fun hanging out with you and I hope you have an awesome day
Very cool vid. And, be sure to support your favorite charities. They really need the help.
The Cheesie System got my vote. Thanks for sharing DJ.
The Cheesie System one will always be my favorite, I really think they are all great!
Nice Video
Thanks!

Sweeeeet
Too cool! We were the second car. Really appreciate the support from the community. Great video!
Awesome! Thank you!
😀👍👍👍
They look like a ton of fun!
Cool video and cute mode of transportation! I noticed that the crossing signals weren't operating. Do the speeders not activate those or was there a manual override for this occasion?
I think they were manually overriding that time, I forget
Very cool.
The choice of music to accompany this video is giving me some strong Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood vibes.
Awesome! I have friends that worked on his show and he was a wonderful man.
@@djstrains That's wonderful. I've always been a huge fan of Mr. Rogers.
oh DJ it's too damn early for this shit!! wait til after thanksgiving!! and that pumper in the background!!!
videos wait for no man, or something poetic like that..lol
@@djstrains videos? i'm talking the event itself!! they're almost as bad as the stores with their sales for christ's sake!! you know the stores around here start getting Christmas stuff in in mid july anymore! enough one holiday at a time!!!
