That water turned pretty good. Looks like run off about anywhere in the country. Standing water up to some wet gravel and sande
Oh-no! I can’t believe you referred to MODEL railroading as just toys. You are hereby excommunicated from using white glue or woodland Scenics products ever again! TOYS I don’t believe you said that
It’s toys
We play with toys like big kids
Hey DJ. Do you have a video, and if not can you make a video explaining where signals should be placed and how they operate? I mean, imnsure we all have a vague idea, but im looking to add some to my layout and don't want a signal where there shouldn't be one. Thanks
ok
Very awesome I have noticed sometimes mistakes end up with ideas sometime that works out in the end I like what you did with your scenery because it looks awesome and every time I look at your videos That everything doesn’t have to be perfect. It feels easy to do the hobby that way, then people trying to be perfect and being river counters about it. Anyway, hope you have an awesome day.
The big scenery is great, but it's the smaller details that make the area look "lived in". Nice work.
If you pour thick layers of epoxy, remember it can generate a trmendous amount of heat.
hello dj & it's is randy and i like yours video is cool thanks dj friends randy
This was way cool, that scene turned out awesome!
oh ya video recording mishaps. I remember one time I got out of the car, hit record,, train started getting close.. DID I hit record? of hell hit record again . train went by, hit the record button to stop the camera, got in the car, next spot, jumped out of the car and hit record when the train went by .. got home, so excited CP holiday train video , went to edit it , and I recorded the car seat from point A to point B with me just singing away to carols., OH WAIT.. that didn't happen to me ,, it was a friend ., cough cough
Hahaha I recorded my pocket once with cell phone.
Even though you didn't like the first pour I sure thought it looked good but the second pour really did the job! BTW the Ridge commercial was great! Loved the display on the gondola and the flat car. Very creative! Appreciate you DJ. Merry Christmas.
Thank you and Merry Christmas
How do you syncronize engines that are paired? Seems that achieving identical speeds would be very difficult.
Speed matching in model railroads using dcc is possible but I’m not the best one to ask
Is that backdrop hill/mountain all clump foilage, or foilage covered puff balls?
I want to do some super trees, in some areas, and was thinking about puff ball trees in more distant areas. But, if that hill is only clump foilage then i may just do that. With N scale, its obvious from what you've done that clump foilage looks more like trees.

I love all your content but your scenery videos are my favorite. Still waiting in the drone video of the New Castle, PA scrap yard!
I got a new drone finally! Just in time for it to be so cold I don’t wanna go outside lol.
You mean the one served by new castle industrial railroad?
The little details really bring the scene together. It’s looking good. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you like it
Love it. I think maybe the tufts should have been added after you poured the creek to prevent them from "lifting" the water up? TBH your first pour looked amazing as a sort of "wet puddle" on the side of the road.
Yeah, the tufts are sooo cool. I was hoping it would look more like the tufts were sticking out from the water. I think a dark city street at night after a rain would be cool to make using a little of this water
Scene is developing really nice…gave me some ideas to model
Glad to hear that
What is the original road? A kit or homemade?
Walthers Ho scale which has a sticky side and is so easy to use
You think you have construction in PA…..in Michigan we put a construction barrel on our state quarter…..
Lmao
@@djstrains oh you chuckle, but it’s so bad if I go more than a few miles without them I start to think I’m lost…
We also seem to enjoy working on all the roads AT THE SAME TIME so that there is no possible way around it……..
Pennsylvania state motto: "You cant get there from here"

Nice Video
Thanks
Great video
Thanks!
I liked the video. Even a ditch that just appears 'wet' from the runoff vs standing water is prototypical. Fast-forwarded through your Ridge commercial!
Ok Chris, so first, thanks for watching. But my question is this..I understand that the commercial didn't appeal to you, thats fine, but why the need to tell me that? I mean let's look at this. For 13 years, I have made over 400 FREE videos. FREE. Never cost you or anyone on Earth a penny to watch. So I was honored that Ridge which makes some phenomenal stuff wanted me to promote their products and I do make a few dollars in doing so. But that seems to be offensive to you and so many others that during a 12 minute video, they have to sit through 90 seconds. That the hours and hours I spend filming and editing and all my personal costs such as $30 adobe monthly editing, the new $1300 drone, the $2,000 camera and more, is all for me to make FREE videos for you and the world and for me to just try to break even at the end of the year, and God forbid I take up 90 seconds on only 15 videos in 2023, out of the dozens and dozens I make. Please, do what I do. Spend the hours I do, put the effort I do, and then see how it feels when people complain they had to fast forward through 90 seconds.
