Lima class 50 I bought one for £20 new motor fine scale wheel set lump of church lead (don’t tell the vicar 😂😂😂) runs really nice. The one thing I would say that you can still get spares not like the Chinese Hornby models. Lovely video as always.

Hi both. I'm with you, Pauline, regarding those blue brake vans. I snapped up the pair from TMC for no other reasons than they would add a bit of colour and variety, plus they'd complement my (already non-prototypical) rake of blue livered British Steel wagons. Oh, and because at £30-odd for the pair, they were cheap!

Not sure about that grey car, maybe the villagers should chase it away with torches and pitchforks.
The Lima looks good but for such a big loco it really ahould have a bit more detail but hey, at least the price was right.
Amazing what you collect over the years and later on you don''t even know what you've bought or even why 😄

The grey car is awful and to be fair the 50 is a 70s model which when introduced would have been cheaper than the Hornby details. I got that, another 50 and a Joef 40 for £30 so no complaints. All the best Rick

Some nice choices! I found the first wagon/car interesting, to say the least. The 50 is probably in need of a slight bit of TLC, but seems ok. Always fun to hear the commentary.

Hi Anthony, the first wagon was a very popular model/toy in the 60's. Makes you wonder how many people have owned it over the years! All the best Rick

Hi Brad, yes we have been watching the news and glad you're ok. The kind of weather you guys get is incomprehensible to us over here. We have family in Orlando and funnily enough Pauline is off to New Jersey next week for a family visit. We had a big stateside trip planned in 2020 but we had to cancel due to COVID. Luckily we got a full refund. We are both planning to get over there next year. Look after yourself and the family all the best Rick.

Hello, Pauline, Rick and Bobby! I was surprised that Pauline only selection three blue items, or four if you count the two blue brake wagons. I believe the blue coach was a Hornby Leeds united supporters coach with the window glass missing, so it’s true to real life, sorry but I remember the good old days of football supporters! Glad to see Bobbys back where’s Lola? Best wishes Harry

Pauline would have been impressed last week? A car transporter came thro Mansfield with a brand new class 92 at the front, ps you could still smell the paint on the loco, Take care you two.

Interesting selection out of the bag, the Class 50 needs a Service. Actually they can be super detailed ie buffer beam, with cab hand rails, and scratch built interior. And of course subtle weathering. Liked the wagons, with the aligned brake blocks. The layout was good with the weathered buildings. Look forward to your next instalment.

Hi Nick, I think weathering would help the 50 enormously. All the best Rick

@@wellchuffedrailways yes it would indeed Rick, but the colour scheme you have is the best livery for the 50. Will you have a go at weathering in due course.

Weird choice😂, not much to say about these.
The lima wagon 100% H0, I think the best choice was the Bachmann break van set.
The car dek wagon and the Lima class 50, I call them semi finished rolling stock, actual really made from a 1970's Toy perspective, rather than the scale model perspective.
They have potential though and can be altered to decent scale model on a low budget, but that involves lot's of DIY changes, that in the end, if well done, gives it charm like the two altered wagon at the end.
But in the end is it worth while doing this, while there are later better finished models available, that's an open question…
