  • Florida State's J.D. Drew became the first player in Division I baseball history to hit three home runs in one College World Series game, doing so against USC on June 6, 1995. He's now one of just three players to accomplish the feat in CWS history.

Nice. For anyone who's curious, he has a feat that may never be matched - he hit the 2nd home run to fuel the Dodger comeback in the 9th inning against the Padres on Monday, September 18th, 2006, and he was the 2nd home run again when the Red Sox hit four in a row on Sunday, April 22nd, 2007.

The Red Sox one was in the 3rd inning against the Yankees. The Dodgers won 11-10 in that 2006 game, and the Red Sox won 7-6 in the 2007 matchup against the Bronx Bombers. How about that?
