A guy can get to many subscriptions. To many lessens the value of the really good ones like yours. I have deleted all Violent, News, Political and other junk channels, so that I may focus on the quality art work of the few. Now I find myself with just a few bicycle related channels and a weather channel.
    Yours is number one.
    Thanks for all you do.

A special video for me since all my family are from Doncaster. In fact, my parents met socially as part of the Doncaster Wheelers cycling club in the late 1950s... thank God! My Dad used to ride the velodromes btw!

Now that's a proper cycling origin story! I should have shown more of the city at the start! 🙂. Know you mentioned Skipton before (i was in and around Bingley growing up); nice part of the world is Yorkshire! 🙂

Another good episode for the set. I like the way the landscape develops as the inevitable Pennine crossing draws closer.
Mount Road & Grains Road to finish things off - you, Sir, are a man of taste!

Thank you, Sir! Biggest day of the series in terms of elevation but a really nice way to finish the ride! I may have wished for an e-Bike on camera on the last climb (only semi-joking at that point) but that didn't make the final edit! 🙂

@@onemorecyclist They aren't cheap miles! Last July I did the pair with Neil from Australia as part of a 'Saddleworth's Greatest Hits'.Looking forward to the next two in the set because I don't think I'll know the routes at all.

You certainly pick the routes! Last one I did of yours I walked funny for days.

Another fantastic video my friend. That first section ‘off the road’ looked like a really nice ride 👌

Thanks, mate. I think that TPT section passes through one or two slightly built up areas, but you'd never know from the trail and tree cover. Looking forward your next photography wanderings! 🙂

Lovely vid as always, and you seem like quite the affable chap! Got a few questions about your equipment :) - hope you don't mind, as I seem to do things quite differently.
    - How do you get on with stem bags? Personally I could never use them, due to severe knee-strike, as I do a lot of standing and climbing.
    - What made you choose a backpack for rides? I only use them for the shortest of grocery shopping trips (

Thanks for following along, it's much appreciated! I'm probably at 'peak affable' on a bicycle (like many of us who really enjoy our bikes I suppose!)🙂Equipment wise I've picked up all sorts of different bits over the years and whilst I have a couple of 'systems' for multi-day rides, I tend to chop and change quite a lot on day rides. The feed pouch stem bag does touch my knee (lightly) if I'm out of the saddle on very steep ground but it's the easiest option I've found for storing and quickly accessing my little GoPro. On this ride - as there were some big hill efforts in the second half - I wanted two full size water bottles, so that meant my usual triangle tool/snacks bag had to come off - so tools and a full set of waterproofs (there was some terrible weather around but thankfully I missed most of it) needed a home and I have an old rear, post-mounted Dynapack that is perfect for this kind of thing. Could have used a rear bikepacking bag or put a rack and single pannier on but just fancied the Dynapack for this ride, no clearance issues. The backpack had virtually nothing in it bar a couple of snickers bars but I don't mind wearing one (if it's light) and I find them really convenient if I stop anywhere (shop, cafe), although I didn't stop on this ride in the end. I can strip the bike of valuables (camera, batteries, GPS, expensive lights etc.) and carry into the shop etc. and also stuff whatever I buy into the rucksack and cycle on to a nice spot to have a proper stop etc. Long answer; gear is an interesting topic and each to their own of course. Happy cycling!

Great vlog! Took to doing similar by catching a train to Wrexham I head west into Welsh hills or east in Shropshire. Tend to do around 100 loops back. If anything it takes out the familiar routes which are more local to me as living on a peninsula are very limited. I’m off work this week, may have spare day were I can take the car and do a loop around your patch. Any recommendations?

Thanks, Paul. Yes, nice to explore beyond the familiar routes sometimes. If i ever have a whole day free and fancy a car start I'm usually thinking about heading up to Ribblehead Viaduct. Loads of loop options from there and they're all superb. Taking in Dent and Ingleton is a favourite (not too long) or a loop including Stainforth, Halton Gill, Kettlewell, Hawes (longer, more hilly). Further south and closer to home there are some nice rides up out of Hebden Bridge - personal favourite is over to Haworth or through Heptonstall and over towards Widop. If you get a ride in over this way let us know how you get on. 👍
