      Great! It's interesting to hear about cinnamon used as a complementary approach for diabetes management. However, for type 1 diabetes, where insulin is crucial, it's important to follow medical advice and view cinnamon as a potential supplement, not a substitute for treatment. Always consult a healthcare provider with such changes. Thanks for your input! 💚

      Absolutely, and that's a very important point to highlight. Anyone with liver conditions should be very careful with the type of cinnamon they consume, as cassia cinnamon does contain higher levels of coumarins, which can exacerbate liver issues. It's always wise to follow the advice of your healthcare provider, such as your hepatologist, especially when it comes to dietary supplements and natural remedies. How,can I identify the right cinnamon

    • @IncrediblyHealthy
      @IncrediblyHealthy  8 месяцев назад +2

      Hey there! Great question! Some tips to identify real Ceylon cinnamon:
      - Look for thin, flaky, layered bark that resembles a croissant roll. Cassia bark is thicker.
      - Ceylon has a tan-brown color compared to Cassia's dark brown.
      - Ceylon has a subtle, sweet, citrusy aroma. Cassia smells stronger.
      - Ceylon is more expensive due to rarity. Price can help indicate Ceylon.
      - Check for the Sri Lanka Ceylon logo which certifies real Ceylon cinnamon.
      - Ask your local spice seller - a reputable source should know the difference.
      - Ceylon is sometimes labeled as "true cinnamon" as opposed to just "cinnamon."
      I hope these tips help you identify and find real Ceylon cinnamon. Let me know if you have any other questions! 💚

    • @IncrediblyHealthy
      @IncrediblyHealthy  8 месяцев назад +3

      The "typical" cinnamon you find in stores is usually Cassia cinnamon, which is perfectly fine for culinary use in moderation. Adding it to ginger tea, porridge, and fruit is a delicious way to enjoy its benefits. However, if you're considering higher doses for health reasons, particularly if you have concerns about liver health, it would be best to seek out Ceylon cinnamon, also known as "true" cinnamon, due to its lower coumarin content.

      Elizabeth: I lost 30 lbs in 3 months while I was drinking cinnamon daily to balance long term blood sugar after my internist had not been able to balance it in 9 months with rx.

      @@PossibleLifeLines That's quite an impressive and rapid weight loss, and it's interesting to hear that cinnamon was a part of your daily regimen during this time. However, your internist's advice to be cautious is important. Rapid weight loss can sometimes be a stressor on the body, and it's crucial to ensure that all changes to your diet or health routines are sustainable and healthy in the long term. It's always best to follow the guidance of your healthcare provider when it comes to managing blood sugar and weight loss. Cinnamon was the ONLY change I made in my routine. I givevit full credit. I was long sincecscientificallyvtrainedcto make only a single change are a time in order to isolate what was responsible for results.
      I gave the standard Rx combo for blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol about a 10 year trial. 8 years ago I rejected them all. I DON"T like drugs at all except essential antibiotics. I switched to hibiscus tea for blood pressure, cinnamon for blood sugar, and certainly beans and oats to clear cholesterol. Last monthbI finally got standard lab work done to test how well the dietary systemnisxachieving my goals.
      All my lab worknresyltsxwrre spot on and superiority what had been previously achieved by Rx.
      I was using a lot of turmeric through the pandemic. It caused a slower rate of weight loss. My actual theory about how my body recalibrate is that the dietary changrscI made addressed the underlying insulin resistance.
      I am experimenting again now to determine whether one piece of fruit a day can not be included while keeping blood sugar normal.
      I respect science. I believe necessary medicines are a good thing. However, I prefer a self regulated diet, if that produces healthy benchmarks. As long as I am able to produce the sought lab test results I am entitled to do that with foods rather than pills.
      I live in a State where the actual law is thst people have a right to refuse medication.
      I have good doctors. The problem is not with my medical team. They know how to look up herbal reactions. We are all professionals educated to about the same levels in our fields.
      What I am curious about now is why I have not had any flu for 15 years. Flu shot effectiveness is 60%, so why have I gotten 100% effectiveness? For the first time in over 15 years, I am planning to go without a flu shot because I want to test the strength of my immune system. But most likely I will get a flu shot when icy weather arrives. Maybe the explanation is that I have no k-12 contact at present, and that the k-12 vextor used to account for getting flues

      It's not advised to eat or chew on a regular(cassia) cinnamin stick .( It is hard to chew, sharp pieces could break off & it is toxic to the liver in high doses.) It is Celon Cinnamin
      You need to use. I've found it is hard to find in stores by me.( saw it once in my Kroger store here. I didn't buy it then, as didn't have enough money. Went back when I did & they didn't have it anymore!
      . I've tried Walmart near me, but no luck. Haven't tried the Meijer store or the healthfood store near me yet.( the way the issues with the supply chain are, it could be hit or miss finding this.) And if I have to go to the one & only healthfood store near me, it's going to be ex spensive!!
