You can tell with the nationals on that last strike in that first clip that umpire was thinking “I don’t care where this next pitch is I’m calling it a strike”
It’s gonna turn into the WWE though since they know that. Half the arguments are probably for show, they need to do something to get people interested again
@@baseballaddict5545 will never happen. Umps set up based on how the pitcher and catcher position themselves, so if he's setup inside corner but throws a slider away (even if it's in the zone) it'll be a ball. The pitcher didn't throw the pitch he set up for.
Wolf News09 exactly very bad. What they should do it home plate strike zone sensors light behind that catcher green means strike red means ball yellow means miss it/wild pitch for running. A sensor for check swing as well
In an age where we have pretty good AI ... and we have the technology for cashier less stores such as Amazon GO .... why the hell is there still a need for baseball refs/umpires of any kind ... makes no sense. I want to see baseball umpires and refs GONE from the game for good riddance. Just like Amazon GO stores have ZERO checkout lines ... Every time a catcher pulls his glove up the IMO should call a ball. All these catchers are being taught to do it and it’s disrespectful. I hate umps but I respect how hard it can be to do their job behind the plate. A slight turn of the mitt is fine but yanking balls back into the strike zone and expecting a call undermines the ump. People don’t teach your ballplayers to do that.
It’s the catchers job to do what he can to get a close pitch (and some not) to be called for his guy on the mound. If an umpire in the Big Leagues falls for the framing and glove position and not where the ball is when it crosses the plate, oops oh well. They gotta do theirs and the catchers gotta do theirs doc.
Ninja_god haha definitely , a lot of us would ! I’m sure it’s just worse now because with no fans umpires can hear everything . Don’t get me wrong there is also some umpires that take it to far and are just constantly looking to throw someone out for the smallest thing.
The first pitch against Soto was bad, but since he knew that the ump was inconsistent, he should've made the adjustment and protected the plate. The strike that Scherzer threw was obviously a strike, the ump just seems to be too emotionally invested in what Martinez told him. The pitch against Gonzalez was high and emotions higher given that it's an extra inning game. The first call against Muncy knicked the inside corner. So it's not egregious. What Hernandez threw at 3:08 to Flowers was basically right down the middle. I don't know why Mattingly is so upset. The called third strike on Winker was pretty low. High and inside a tad by Shoemaker, but definitely a strike. The pitch by Keller was pretty low. The pitch against Manny broke perfectly, absolutely a strike. I don't know why Boone is bitchin'. Voth definitely threw a strike, especially with a 2-2 count.

I totally agree these umpires nowadays are getting away with murder and getting way too big for their britches . The game is supposed to be about the players not the umpires. They need to get off their high horse with their egos. MLB could do with out these umpires today and get robots or computer umpires.

The Braves broadcast crew are legends for not muting the hot mics! 🏆 🐐
Joe and Chip are some of the best broadcasters you’ll ever see.
I just wanna know why Don Mattingly was wearing a Giants jersey
Not a Braves fan but this is hilarious.
@@LilTecciaSquirts7 Been watching them since 1973

Props to the broadcasts that didn’t mute out the hot mics. 🤩
maybe we should talk over these..lol
Jesus loves you
Hot mics are a blessing
That’s a blessing of COVID-19 Dfish32
Unless if you’re Thom Brennaman
HaHa true!!
That’s a blessing of COVID-19, haha true
I really don't know why this isnt a thing on MLB network lol
“Horse shit” is the main vocabulary of every manager
Who misses baseball without fans? I do.
God bless hot mics cause when umps fuck up, it’s so much fun to hear them get called out
8:24 "Why can't we be friends?!" as they're arguing xD
The announcers wanna hear it just as much as we do. I love it!
Except they want to keep their jobs more.
Honestly this makes baseball way more entertaining
You can tell with the nationals on that last strike in that first clip that umpire was thinking “I don’t care where this next pitch is I’m calling it a strike”
That was a sickening call.
I'm fine with it, it's part of the game, and a pivotal part of it. Talk bad to the umpires get bad treatment, talk good get good treatment.
Jesus loves you
“That’s the fucking facts!”
Don Mattingly 2020
Dude didn't fuck around as a player either.
Not one umpire could tie Donny Baseball’s shoes
Say what you will about Covid, but it's allowed us to listen into moments like these that we couldn't before with the crowd noise
You should check out the NHL 🤣
It’s gonna turn into the WWE though since they know that. Half the arguments are probably for show, they need to do something to get people interested again
Stupid reply
Fr amazing
Yeah it was totally worth essentially losing 2yrs of our lives for a virus with a 99% survival rate all so I can hear players argue with umpires...
I don't think they should mute hot mics makes it more awesome listening to these arguments
No crowds + “magic” words = MUST SEE BASEBALL... I’m Lovin’ It 😂
FINALLY!!. You get to hear their arguments... AWSOME!!. 🤙🏼
Love it!
don mattingly: you guys are fing us over every game
don mattingly on the dodgers staff: *pretty much got the upper hand of every call*
That's right ✅️
no crowd we can hear all the good words 😂😂😂😂
“Sorry FCC” 🤣🤣🤣LOL (Well Strausburg finna get fined like $100,000 lol)
“You’re f*cking brutal” - 2019 World Series MVP
I vote from now on we have a mic on every manager and umpire after this year
I can watch these all day
Is it just me or is it hilarious when you see Don Mattingly (the marlins manager) wear a jersey that looks like the GIANTS uniform.
I think it does more than look like it. It plainly says "Giants" right across the chest.
9:42 "how old are you? I heard something different" "well we can't repeat it" lol
These will never hold a candle to Terry Collins micd up lmao
The MLB can attract a lot of new fans with hot mics/mic'd up.
I believe that's part of the reason why NFL has been doing better
1:21 “Horse Fucking Shit, Can You Here Me!” 😂 I Love These Hot Mics
Hot mics will get me back into baseball hardcore again. I hope they stay
@5:36 the pitch goes literally right down the middle and the umpire calls it a ball🤦♂️
Yep he got crossed up just like the catcher did.
One of the worst umps in the league
If you throw a fastball and your catcher is set-up breaking ball, NO UMP is gonna give you that strike.
@@jmichaelmunger still they should give you the strike

Imagine George Brett storming out of the dugout with a mask on when he was called out for the baseball bat.

Don’t make me sick!
Playing "Why Can't We Be Friends?" during that argument was hysterical. 🤣🤣🤣
8:20 “why can’t we be friends” 😭😭
I liked the way arguments are heard through empty stadiums
9:43 "Ohhhhhhh! We heard that, yup. Sorry folks" xD
Even better in an empty stadium, you can hear EVERYTHING
Love how "Why can't we be friends?" is playing at 7:50 while the Umpire and Manager argue.
I feel like if mlb would allow this in life tv more they would have more views
Mattingly hot mic is really funny 😂
4:16 "Oh so now we're f***ing you?" 😂
The umps have been horrible this year.
I also love how the players know the strikes and balls better than the umps.

Ik right
The home plate ump for game 2 of the Angels-Astros DH today was terrible.
Flab 2 Fit that would never work lol

4:14 oh is that it, so now it's "we're fucking you?" LOL

How was that Rios pitch missed? Right down the gut, literally.your vids are badass!
Coach: *yells at ump from dugout*
Ump: *turns to address coach*
Coach: "Pay attention to the game!"
The coach was right.
8:25 the timing of the “why can’t we be friends” is hilarious 😂

We should Mic these confrontations, to show us how not to act, when the crowds come back to the stadiums, would make the games more interesting!!
Sounds like they’re yelling into a pillow with these masks lmao
This is my favourite genre
cjmftw then your gonna want to subscribe because I’m posting a mlb ejection compilation tomorrow
Lmao at Ron Darling proposing they find a sponsor for the curse of the game.
That was a ball
I love how everytime a manager cusses the announcers turn the mic volume down so that the cussing doesn’t go on live tv and gets mlb sued😂
Players: calls out pitch that is wrong
Umpires: WHAT DID YOU CALL ME? YOURE OUTTA HERE!
Dodgers are a winning machine. Balls and strikes don't matter in the big picture.

Looking back on all the masks wearing is scary how easily we drank the kool aid.

Umpires think they should throw u out for an argument
It’s not what they think , you are not allowed to argue balls and strikes . There is no leniency with it . You argue and your out that’s it .
