17:06 if the pitcher fails to declare prior to the at bat that he will execute the wind up then it shall be deemed a balk. This is most common in R3 only situations.
L T As officials in any sport, it’s our job to make sure things don’t escalate further then they have (I’m a football referee). We are blocking them from moving forward wether it be towards one of our fellow officials, another player, or rare occasion another coach. A good majority of the time, if someone is putting there hands on us it’s to poke us in the chest, slap a hand/arm down or shove us cause they don’t agree with something. That’s not a preventative measure, that’s just disrespecting us as the officials on the field. There’s your difference. We touch to prevent, they don’t. That’s why we are allowed to make contact. Now, it’s not always an issue. A lot of times I’ll have coaches or players lean in on my shoulder to make a comment or observation, that’s fine. We have no problem with that, when it’s a calm, rationale talk and a simple lean in on the shoulder or pat on the back. Nothing wrong with those. It’s only when it’s out of anger and disagreement will you see us eject or penalize for making contact with us.
Let's all send congratulations to Sam Holbrook, who recently gave birth to quintuplets - the first MLB umpire to do so.... since Joe West and Eric Cooper and Hunter Wendlestedt and Doug Eddings and Marty Foster and Laz Diaz and several others I can't think of right now.
“ I still don’t understand what the issue was there.” You don’t know the issue Mr. broadcaster because you haven’t done the work of studying the rules of pitching. It’s illegal to wind up from the set position. If a pitcher declares to the plate umpire he is going to wind up from the set position he can but without a declaration it’s illegal.
Idk why these videos are so addicting i love binging them
ME TOO LOL
Saaaaaaaame!

6:43 so it’s fine if he’s screaming at you and cussing you out in between innings but not during innings, nice logic 😂😂
Again I ask, Why are umps allowed to put their hands on managers, coaches, players??

Go throw a fit!
There's a difference between "good touch, bad touch". And please don't be childish about what I just said lol

4:45 i don’t really understand this, it’s a one run game and a walk ties it, 3-2 count and you take the call instead of asking for help, seems wrong
Repeat after me : Interference is on the offense; obstruction is on the defense.
21:22 it looks like one big shoving match. 👀🤷🏿

Matt Carpenter had one of the best eyes in the game but tried to take to many pitches that got him in trouble.

10:56 why is he arguing?
Go throw a fit! Let the umpires have it!
Argue the umpires over balls and strikes!
Anyone who throws at Manny Machado is a friend of man.
I'm definitely your friend Mike!
If Kevin Cash had a collar, he’d be hot under it!
White sox announcers biggest homers of all time. Their team is never wrong according to them
Why is it normally the same 4-5 umpires ejecting everyone in every clip lmao
Lose control of yourselves over balls and strikes!
Vent those frustrations over balls and strikes!
What is with all these commentators that think that you can't be thrown out for yelling at an ump from the dugout?
Alan porter month
The orioles and Red Sox really dislike each other 👀🤷🏿
Back when that Bum Shohei Ohtani wasn’t in the league and the league was much better off
Hot take
