    I don't understand the mindset of MLB pitchers at times... If you unintentionally hit a batter, either by missed location or poor release, why not just tip your cap or something, to show that it was completely unintentional? Not only does it protect you it also protects your teammates and keeps unnecessary brawls and feuds to occur.

    • @slamminsammy941
      @slamminsammy941 6 лет назад +11

      Honestly if u do it on accident you do say sorry or act like it’s an accident , anyone that says otherwise has never pitched , If i accidentally hit a batter id let him know so no one misunderstood that I legit lost control on one , 2-4 pitches at a player in a row is not an accident even in high school one pitch could go wild but not multiple exactly at the players body that’s
      Not an accident at all.

    • @Mr.RivermenStyle

    Being in hit in the head isn't just a 'serious' injury it could possibly be a career ending one. Helmets may protect but the shock wave from the velocity of a pitch can damage anything. Back of the head controls vision. Sides of the head control reaction and logic. Front of the head controls memory and emotion. So how much of all that do you need to play the game?

    Still believe half the time its the CATCHER who tells the pitcher via signs to actually throw at the batter, that is why from that one game a long time ago, think it was when the games were still broadcasted in black in white, a batter got hit by a pitch and the first thing the batter did was give the catcher a real good reverse kick right to the catcher's mid section, thak god the catcher was wearing the chest protector even back then, and then the batter went after the pitcher, thats why sometimes I think via signs just like they normally do before every pitch, the catcher gives the pitcher a Special sign that actually tells him to throw at the batter, and thats also why I am extreamly surprised that even as of today, when a batter get plunked like in this video, and the batter goes after the pitcher, that he doesn't go after the catcher first, casue that's the first thing I would have done if I got hit by a pitch, go straight after the catcher cause I know that he's probably TOLD the pitcher to actually throw at me......so I can definiatly understand why that one player all those years ago, gave that catcher a really good reverse kick right to his chest before going after the pitcher.........

    I absolutely hate it when people in the stands start to yell at the pitcher for hitting the batter for 2 big reasons. One, more than 3 quarters of the time it's unintentional. Two, it's not as easy as it looks to throw the where you want it every time

    I hate it when obviously it wasn't on purpose and still everyone is like throw him out! No....if it was on purpose yes, but he didn't mean to. It hurts you more then it helps you to hit a batter. They'll walk him if they don't want him hitting. Some of them want revenge and that crap, but there being stupid. Some of them did hit them on purpose, but their being stupid.

      Do you not know how baseball works? Or any sport in general or any programming for that matter? Baseball and sports and other tv shows try to make as much money as possible. They have to reach a BROAD market base. For people who can’t attend games, that’s the purpose of watching it on television. Baseball primarily on radio wouldn’t reach enough of a target audience. For someone who has lived throughout the 80s, it’s sad and pathetic that I would have to explain that in depth...

    My coach says that "Hitting people is apart of the game. You do it to show you're not afraid and you have courage. But, you will never disrespect the game or other people by throwing it at their head. Especially when it can end ones career." I had to interview someone about baseball and that was one of the topics of concern I could choose.

      Josh Sutton That's why they use helmets and cups on the groin right? It's part of the game, like late hits or "last man" on fútbol (soccer) you just ... have to do it, sometimes.

    • @joshsutton6648

      GUASON yes, it is part of the game but the helmet still rattles you and if you don't wear your cup right it can pinch the twins or they could meet the stomach.
