THIS IS A VISUAL AND AUDIBLE MASTERPIECE!!! I love the way you put this together. I also want to tell a story, not just share the highlights. I want to connect with others on social media, and I want to help people. And this is a great reminder that the story is more important than the destination/curated content.
Thanks Juliah! I think social media is evolving in consumption - at least for myself. I’d rather follow creators that share their story instead of ones that have flash but no substance.
I realllllllllly enjoying your filming style. The pacing, the music choice, the dialogue and the silence. It’s all such a wonderful balance that takes the viewer into your life. Thanks for sharing and taking us on the adventure.
Good stuff bro. I have an LX470 I’m slowly building out right now and I wish I could just drop everything and live a nomadic lifestyle for a little while.
This was a great watch. I'm a GX owner myself and an adventure seeker as well. Have done many road trips across the U.S. This hits home. Keep the adventure rolling, those awe moments never get old! No one ever regrets travel. Do it while you're young. Cheers to the great shots and editing of this short film!
Caught your channel by accident, amazing stuff! You are living the dream, and letting us be a part of that! Gotta say - you deserve millions of views, please keep making videos, you will definitely get the well-deserved recognition. Thanks for all the inspiration!
You did an amazing job man, and i am writing this comment on the minute 4. Keep the storytelling going, you are pretty good at this. Its a lot harder then it seems.
loved how this all come together man! storytelling was really creative, so many beautiful shots too. glad our paths crossed. happy to know you my friend. and i totally feel you on the disdain for “setting down” 😅
Your first video detailing your vehicle setup really captivated me. Pretty amazing job, and I'm glad it's working out so well. How's the car holding up by the way? Keep the videos coming and stay safe out there!
I really enjoyed this video. Fantastic story telling. The framing reminded me of the illustrations in The Boy The Mole The Fox and The Horse. Wide short, detailed shots, side on, above. Really nice way to keep engaging without changing subject every three seconds. Felt refreshing. But I also want to thank you for sharing your story. Even with the thing that gets in the way. Life.
Thanks for this video. I recently decided to ditch renting a house to live on the beach full time with just my tacoma 4x4... this is an amazing lifestyle, and i hope to someday have my truck outfitted right like yours!
Love it. Nicely done. I'll be doing the same as soon as the kids are out of the house. In the meantime, I do the weekend overlanding thing in my 4th gen 4Runner as often as possible. Love that GX you're driving. You've really set it up well.
I enjoyed this video so much. I have seen your content, road life setup, and your pictures on insta for a while now. Thoroughly enjoy your choice of freedom. Keep at it.
Wow, what an interesting life you have chosen to live : ) I am happy to have found this channel as it gives me a glimpse of what could have been, or perhaps, what might be one day. Thank you for sharing all of this with the rest of us, you are truly inspiring to say the least. May you always be safe and happy for all of your days 🙏
I'm also a software engineer working remotely, and i've been travelling around the US for 6months now with also a gx470. I found living full time in my gx and managing all the water, food, electricity, internet, etc might be a bit too challenging for me. Cuz my work is relatively busy and I feel like i dont have the extra energy to manage all these resources after a long workday. I ended up occationally live in the gx for maximum 5 or 6 days, but mostly i will look for short-term monthly stay at different locations. and just head out to the wild during weekends. I always wanted to push myself a bit and try living in the gx full time for maybe a couple weeks, hopefully I would do that in the next year!
It definitely takes getting used to. Living out of a suitcase overseas was 10x harder than on the road, and I’ve been remote for a total of 5 years now. Definitely helped with this lifestyle
Cool Shots...YES!! Breathtaking views (I LUV LUV!) beginning of this video, first thing I said was WOW!! I love snowy mountains 😊. New subber & can't wait to see more of your videos. Safe travels & Happy Holidays, stay warm! 🥶☃️🌲💜
Good job brotha, keep up the good work at the end of the day it's what makes your soul happy and living a freedom life. Great job, 💯!! Want to see your story more.
Hi Mike! I just found you today! Thank you so much for all of your time, photos, and videos! Thank you for giving me a tour of your HOME! Thank you for taking me along in your journey to beautiful places! I am grateful!🙏 After I watched this video, I subscribed and watched the rest of your videos! You are still pretty young but I can already see that there’s beautiful energy in you! I also love hiking and camping! My most recent trip was a 10 days in the Cedar Mesa area and East of Capital Reef off-grid in my 1998 Tacoma! If you ever traveling 🧭 to Prescott-Arizona, please let me know! In the meantime, may you always on the path of fulfilling your true aspiration!🙏
I love your content, seeing your travels through photos and videos and learning your story. Your GX is amazing too. You're living the life! What I can't comprehend is how you have a social life. Working on the road and being away a lot, just how? Coming from someone not doing anything you're doing and always in the same location I have like one actual friend. 😅 I think you nailed the roadlife question. I too want to "run away" and find something new. What's your monthly expenses look like? I wonder if I could even afford to live in my car.
Thanks! I’d say 95% of my friends on the road are either photographers I’ve met through instagram, or are road lifers themselves. Then those friends introduced me to others, and the network just grows organically now!
I think those 4 reasons.... 1) looking for something 2) looking to forget the past 3) runway from problems 4) find themselves .... are the exact reasons why i need to go on the road Great video
Wow!!! That was very well thought out. Well done. I enjoyed every second of it, I’m interested to see all the revisions to your GX that you’ve showed us in a recent short that you uploaded.
@@goingfarther_films ok thank you I would like to do something similar with a gas shock I have a 2010 JK Wrangler so it lifts up above the glass when it's open thanks again

@@goingfarther_films good to read , better than content just because “I post every Thursday “. I enjoy the build “why it did this”, but look forward to your content style .
I loved loved watching your video. This is something i can related myself to. Being connected and have a professional life at the same flexible and nimble to go around , see places. You are living my dream.
Great seeing another one of your beautiful videos! A visual masterpiece. Also great to see that you’re living your best life out on the road 🙏🏼👍🏼🙌🏼Safe travels!
The hardest part about this for me is knowing that you are growing older without a stable investment, like a house, to fall back on. When I'm 65, I may have crap retirement and no pension, but I'll have half a million in a paid off house that I can sell and live off of until I croak (assuming I make it to 65). I came for the GX470, but stayed for the window into a different life style, good stuff.
In terms of monetary investment, I'm behind a number of people my age. I have decent liquid funds, a small lump of stocks, and a couple money pits of vehicles. But I don't regret my choices. Traveling in this manner has felt like I've lived a few lives. Making gut choices, learning from multiple mistakes, having experiences worth a few lifetimes. I've invested educationally as well; 10 years in software comes pretty handy. Circling back, I do think about long term investment quite a bit. But I'm confident I'm making the right investments in myself at the moment.
@@goingfarther_films I would have probably agreed with you before I was 30. Now that I am 33, have been through the ringer health wise out of nowhere when my thyroid randomly died, and went through buying my first home and calculating expenses for the future (kids), I couldn't even imagine not having a fallback with equity building every month, especially with how crap wages are compared to goods these days, and its only going to get worse. Good luck to you sir.

I had some negativity when I first started, but learned to shut them out. One of the best decisions I made, and taught me a lot about my prior surroundings
