What India can give to UK is quite obvious. What UK can give to India? UK is tiny comparing to India, its market is limited and crowded. UK is struggling to stay relevant and cannot be considered not only as a global but even as a great power. So the deal looks like - you open your market and follow our policy in exchange we will give you more visas, I.e. UK will take away from India the smartest and make them work for UK. I think the time when UK could force such unfair deals on India has long gone. China has been through so many more troubled times than India since ww2 but compare the 2. Sure China is still pretty poor compared to the UK on a per capita basis but it is miles ahead of India, why do you think that is?

I am not a Keir Starmer supporter, but I think his addition of "integrity" is less about lying and more about emphasis on his lack of ethical and moral standards more widely, and "telling the truth" is less about his many deliberate lies and more about highlighting his habit of dishonesty by omission, with honesty covering his lying, cheating and stealing from the tax payers in UK, for his own gain.
