Thank you so much, I love that as I struggle to do something I know there is someone out there that went through the same thing and made a video about it.
Thanks because i have parts coming on Wednesday for my 2020 Titan, both armrest pads and seat base being replaced, thank goodness for the 5 year warranty because things started to go south around year 3
If you want to fix a loose armrest (or help lessen the dreaded armrest wobble that these all seem to have) then do everything in the video to get the armrest cushion piece off, it should look like 2:20 in the video. Then take that one phillips screw out and that will release the spring loaded piece that controls the armrest rotation and sliding. Set that aside and you should now see one more larger phillips screw, remove it. Now once you remove that screw the whole rest of the armrest should now be able to come off. Be sure to not let the metal pieces fall out or become seperated as getting the spring piece back in to allow the armrest to swivel is a PITA, its fairly simple to figure out just a pain to get the spring compressed while pushing everything together because its all covered in grease which has to stay in there. With the armrest off you should now see 2 more phillips screws, tighten those as much as you can without stripping the heads out. Once those are tightened place the armrest back on and you will have to center the screw hole on the armrest with the mounting hole where you just tightened the screws in order to get everything back together correctly. You will know when its right because it will all fit together nice and flush. Screw that bigger phillips screw back down to secure the armrest. Make sure the metal plates are all still together correctly, and replace the black plastic piece and spring into their original position and screw it back down. Place the armrest cushion back on as seen in the video (mine needed a good smack to go back on but once it did it was fine). Enjoy less wobbly annoying armrest while gaming! :)
That wasn't it for me, those two flat head screws were tight af, but removing them, and separating the metal plates, exposes the bottom base plate of the armrest assembly, with four flat head screws that attach the armrest assembly to the plastic tube that slides up and down. Those four screws were totally loose, and tightening them was the fix for my wobbly armrest.
I have the same exact chair same year but mine doesn’t have a screw. Other tutorials with no screws were magnets where people just squeeze and it comes off but mine doesn’t.
I have the same model but the new armrest is not attached with screws and wont snap in place. Ticket pending, not sure what they were thinking here but there is only one armrest available on website.
I just replaced the left armrest for the second time, under warranty. Same kind of breakup and little chance it won't happen again. It is precisely the material and how it was designed that is the problem. It is no coincidence that on the Titan Evo, they have changed material and shape.
My customer service was excellent getting a replacement left armrest. The original material deformed strangely. However they did not provide any installation help. WATCH OUT there is a plastic pin under one of the slots that will break if you stick a screwdriver in it. (Stupid place to have a hole when you aren't sure what you are doing. Wedge the screwdriver in the slot shown in the vid!
Do not order from SecretLab! The armrests start peeling or damage within a year or two! It is a nightmare getting someone from out of the country (US) -company in Singapore. You write them and they respond once a week. You send multiple photos! They try Not to help you. I ordered replacements and they were wrong ones for my chair! They won’t take back because they say they are now not hygienic-like you have medical equipment or something (still in package they sent you). Just save yourself a headache.
True. Mine has a crack along the whole side on both armrests and is starting to come off and when I saw she was replacing them for that little crack it blew my mind lol.
thank you very much. had a loose pad. Was able to remove it and tighten the mechanism screw to fix it.
I also have 2020 version but dont have any screws under the armrest . What am I supposed to do ? :D
Thanks! I was about to send the whole chair in. Easy at home fixes are always a positive.
Thank you for the video! I was having difficulties replacing these.
Thanks for the help, i wasn't sure what to do after removing the screw...
hey we got the same screwdriver and chair by the looks, thanks for the vid.

I just want you to know that 3 months later, you're still helping us with the wobble struggle.

Life saver fam!
it helped ty. xoxo
The old one is not coming off. Sticking the screw driver is not helping at all

Mine does not have a screw and it's also a 2020 titan. wtf.
Their armrest materials are so trash for the price you pay for the chair.
bro i bought the secret lab titan 2022 the arm rests are little bit moving left and right is it normal? is it how it comes from the secret lab ?
idk about the 2022, but the 2020 armrests do wiggle around a bit if thats what you mean
Wait...mine doesnt have a screw...
My armrest cracked right on that seam line and came loose, THEN my daughter decided it was time to take it off the arm rest and ripped it off lol.
I tore up the whole armrest to get it off 😖
FIRST!

Your replacing it just for that small crack? Mine already lost 1/3 of the synthetic leather hahaha.
True. Mine has a crack along the whole side on both armrests and is starting to come off and when I saw she was replacing them for that little crack it blew my mind lol.
Yeah I agree that wasn't worth the trouble, half the plastic on mine is gone plus a good portion of the foam crap underneath that is gone 😂😂😂
Thank you!
thank you!!
