I might have an idea of why the dazey chain bug happens In pvz2i, if your projectile pierces, and is not based on one of the projectiles that can inherenyly pierce, it will do its damage every single frame Since dazey chains cloud was never meant to deal damage, it makes sense that they wouldn't set it up to not deal damage every frame
@@catking4031 The Dazey Chain also has a damaging projectile, and that one is considered its primary attack, not the clouds. Presumaby, the cloud is getting its damage from the bonus for the main attack getting added to the clouds as well. As for how that happened when other plants with multiple attacks work fine, I wouldn't be surprised if the cause is the Dazey Chain's cloud having null damage instead of 0 damage - both of those are legal values for a number and both would cause the attack to deal no damage, but an unexpected null value can cause issues.
You know, I’m just realizing this now, but pvz2c seems to have the opposite problem from international, the plants are well animated but their concepts are unusually buggy and not always well thought out.

WE'RE BACK ONCE AGAIN Personal favorites this time around were Abyss Anemone (mainly its design, it's so freaky in a good way) and Oilseed-pult for looking really fun to mess around with
27:38 The fact is that Hoya Heart not only add percentage damage increase to a plant’s attacks, it also add fixed damage, one pea or two all the time, while Dazey Chain’s clouds does zero damage, every frame, to apply the stun effect; therefore, each frame now has actual damage when boosted and stacks up quickly as it pass through zombies.
So we got an abyssal version of Snap Pea with cultist type shtuff A mandrake thing that does parkour instead of killing things by screaming, WHAT IS THAT MOSQUITO-PRODUCING MONSTER, Funny party fella, And an angry oil fire. I love PvZ2’s China version!
I LOVE Hoya Heart. It’s design in particular, it’s so fun and memorable! It feels like the kind of plant that would be game defining, like how Bonk Choy became an iconic normal plant after PvZ2. I also love their ability, it’s REALLY strong but in a more creative way that’s very thematically fitting for its concept. Absolutely devastated this gem of a plant doesn’t exist in the international version…even if they removed the encore ability, I would totally use it just for how fun and creative it is.
**Oil**seed-pult level 5: Removed oil this is even more baffling when you remember that his costume also converts the oil into fireballs. So you can just, completely remove oil from his kit. Seriously, what the heck…?
Abyss plants have a such unique gimmick. I also want to add their lore and it's really fit to the time twister world. So, in time twister, shadow pants & abyss plants are live in harmony. Until one day, Zomboss' messing them timeline, the time twister is become very unstable that make abyss plants become insane and many shadow plants are fleeing from time twister that give the reason why they came in Modern Day. And for time twister as final world, players will get many abyss plants and rest of the shadow plants that still live in Time Twister as obtained adventure plants.

Say what you want about pvz2c, but you gotta admit: Some of these plants have incredible concepts. I just wish this game had the level of refining and animation to actually back them up.
27:47 my guess as to why this happens is probably because Hoya Heart effects the damage of all of a plant’s attacks, therefore it would in theory be able to make the cloud do damage (if its not strictly a basic multiplier because i think if its 150% it’d be what 1.5 damage?) so the cloud might just have a very high tick rate. Since the cloud is effecting zombies so quickly (making sure it stuns every zombie it comes across, the damage ALSO ticks just as frequently, thus making it do in theory 1.5 damage times however many frames it would hit/stun the zombie during its movement. Just speculating tho since I dont know how all the calculations are run.
oilseed pult looks really cool but it is sad that it loses its gimmick i wish they entirely nixed it throwing fireballs itself to make it a hard support have it give the fire vulnerability as its main Levelling Benefit (either increasing in proc chance or strength with level) for level 5 they could do something silly like make the ignite effect permanent

maybe that interaction with dazey chain is cuz the clouds deal dmg every X amount of time when in contact with zombies so the dmg boost applies a lot, see how much they "blink" to show how fast they are getting hit?
27:47 the smoke deals damage according to frame rate, but its damage is 0. Hoya heart can increase its damage by plusing a fixed number on 0. For example, its damage buffed by a level 1 Hoya heart is 0*20%+30=30 per frame Apologize for my poor English 🥺
I believe the reason that the mosquitos can’t attack dodos is because, naturally, they are born in the depths of the void. Imp dragons signed a peace treaty with Cthulhu, and gargantuars have too much fat to bite through.
It’s likely that Daisy Chain is getting a buff to its damage from Hoya Heart that is then given to any ability used by the plant, thus it gains the +1.5x damage on every tick of the cloud.
