@ there will undoubtedly be a meta combo for the most optimal damage but im a big fan of exploring other options for flashier gameplay. Ty for watching!
I was looking for some real tips on how to land that tricky Offset Attack, and not only did you just give me that in spades, I also learned you could apparently shoot your slinger with your weapon out this whole time lmao. I love these sort of vids too, it's so hard to find MH personalities that look for the value in every attack and action. More than any other vid in the past few weeks, this one has gotta be the one that makes me even more excited to finally play the full game!
@@josephbouteille7868 The vid does a good job explaining it, you could just watch it lol. But as I understand, the stance your hunter takes at the end of Unbridled/Full Release slash (with the axe on the ground, behind the hunter) can lead to a variety of follow-ups, but specifically the Offset Rising slash has less of an initial delay when performed during that stance, which would make timing it against a monster's attack for an offset easier.
Despite already playing switch axe and being familiar with the moveset, I found watching the whole thing still worth it; You've highlighted many tricks that I would never have thought of in a concise manner: especially the overhead slash repostion, and morph in spiral slash. Keep up the great work. Imma watch your channel with great interest up to and after launch.
Really appreciate it! Though I will have to disappoint as I only have the motivation to make a guide like this if there are hidden mechanics that other ppl havent covered. But always stay tuned for surprises like this when a Eurika moment hit!
@@imaGiraffeMH understandable, I will be here when your genius strikes again. It's good to see you flourishing after you cooked on the gamescom stage. that offset delay tech is so cool! the little showcase of it at 14:07 while the music kicked in really makes me want to learn the weapon when the game comes out. i kinda hope capcom doesnt give switch axe a way to delay it the same way the other weapons can, cause i feel like little wrinkles like this in the design of weapons is what really allows for swag moments.
@@an0bserver2000 i honestly cant wait to try these all the new monsters in Wilds! Also i was talking to some other swaxe mains and they brought up a good point. This will not be the only way to do your offset. AXE Forward poke and side slash can also link into a reliable offset setup. There are a lot of combo routes and im only scratching the tip of the iceberg
Your explanation of how to set up instant offsets leading into the montage at 14:08 was one of the hypest moments I've seen in a guide whoa! Also I learned so much from this, tysm for putting this together with everything you've learned from the beta. I feel like the way you explained each tool Wilds SA's moveset gives you and how to connect them is going to help so much with learning the flow of the weapon.
@@Euclideia i initially had voice overs during that part but it felt weird cuz theres a lot of downtime between explanations. I was just going to let it play out but the Jungle Theme fit the BPM of SWAXE perfectly so i ended up spicing it up. Thank you im glad you enjoyed it!!
This video is incredible. Thank you for the time and effort you put in. I always wondered why I would use unbridled instead of just full release but it makes so much sense to set up the offset.
i’ve played swaxe in every game, and wilds is easily my favorite! however, it took time to “unlock” all the tools they give you. i hope this guide helps many people who are struggling to parse the new switch axe into the demon hunter it is!
This is honestly the best MH weapon guide I've ever watched, I honestly didn't expect myself to but I ended up watching your whole video! I was really looking forward to maining SA in wilds but after it's lackluster damage in the beta it kinda threw me off for abit. But after watching your video I'm inspired to give it another go :) I have to say my favorite parts of your video have to be: 1. Jumping reload wtf 2. Morphing directly into fwd overhead slash(???) 3. Offset delay after unbridled and fade slash is crazy, I can't wait to try it 4. Side hopping for back to back sword counters Great work dude can't wait to watch more of your videos :)

the full release slash looks so sick! SA mains are eating good lol. though, not gaining some sword gauge from switching back into axe mode messed my flow so badly in the beta.
What a fantastic guide, always wanted to get started with the SA but felt like I was missing something and nothing wasn't really morphin between each other. Do you have any recommendation on step by step "exercise" to get to SA ? Like trying to manage energie then counter then full gambit then... idk ?

I decided maining SA and GL in Wilds since they're the only 2 weapon left not mastered in World. Banning LS since Fatalis and Wilds LS is too oP, gonna leave them to the beginners as braindead weapon now
