Chinese automaker Nio's flagship electric sedan, the Nio ET7, showcases a blend of advanced technology and luxury. 2024 Nio ET7 Quick Review:
The ET7 features Nio's trademark battery swapping technology. If Nio builds a network of stations across the UK, you'll be able to drive up and swap a dead battery for a fully charged one in just five minutes. Alternatively, you can charge the battery directly using 140kW (75kWh) or 180kW (100kWh) DC charging. WLTP combined range is 276 miles for the 75 kWh battery and 360 miles for the 100 kWh battery. In addition, the Nio plans to offer a 150 kWh semi-solid state battery next year, potentially providing more than 600 miles of range.
The ET7 has a combined output of 644 hp from its two motors: a 241 hp permanent magnet motor at the front and a 402 hp induction motor at the rear.
It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.

The total capacity of the accumulator is 100 kWh, and its usable power is 90 kWh.
The ET7 has a futuristic look with low drag for better efficiency. Its distinguishing features include an LED light bar that wraps around the rear end and a raised lidar housing above the windshield.
The Nio ET7 is a well-sorted, luxuriously equipped electric limousine with impressive technological features. However, it faces fierce competition from rivals offering longer range and faster charging. Nio's reliability and service in Europe have not been tested.
Remember, the Nio won't go on sale in the UK until 2024, and the family-friendly Nio EL6 will arrive first. But when the ET7 arrives, it promises an interesting mix of luxury and advanced technology.
