They noticed the competition, shat themselves, and started working on Sims 5. It will come out in 2025 or 2026, it will be "always connected" like Sim City, and will be released on PC and mobile. So they are definitely aiming at a more casual demographic when it comes to hardware requirements; Inzoi would melt any mobile device.

40% of the Sims playerbase is male. Even I grew up playing Sims; making the ugliest character possible or making a huge family just to make them die horrendously was a highlight of my childhood.
Where did you get that little stat? the only thing i could find to back it up was saying that 60% of sims 4 players are specifically women between the ages of 18-24. SO that means the number of women making up the playerbase is even higher when you include all ages.
I remember in sims 3 i made a witch that can cast fire, she burned down a whole house with the family still inside, i also made ghost babies for each type of unalive 😂
I sketched the layout of my apartment in Sims 3 back in the day, before moving in. Used it a little bit to plan placing furniture, appliances and what not just to get a feel of it.
My sister did this. She created her newly purchased home in the sims and then messed around with the interior until she made something she liked, and then replicated it IRL. I thought she was a genius, didn't realize that this is probably common amongst people our age and younger.
Japanese companies have been doing that since the NES days. There was a period during the PS3/360 and early PS4 where that wasn't true, but they've always been around

pretty sure i did that to sims 3 back in highschool if i add all the expansions and the like together in retrospect i can only i.agine how much worse 4 is
Honestly as a guy, the reason why i played sims is cuz it always had this goofy broken atmosphere and some funny mods and stuff like taking inspiration from others like CallMeKevin‘s sims videos and stuff like that. This game doesn‘t have any of that so no, won‘t rly play it
Have you never played the Sims? Designing ugly people on purpose was part of the fun. Town full of crazies. Red haired young man named Chubby McChongus going around town spreading love. Not everyone is doing so poorly in life that they need to escape into an idealised version of themselves in a computer game.
You're wrong though.... I dated a woman who was proud of her curves and tried to make the character look as much like her as possible and it was pretty upsetting to her when all you could make is unrealistically skinny chicks... I also have a friend who's bigger, and always makes himself a round boy... Escapism doesn't have to be full, and still needs some way for you to relate if you are to actually immerse and escape.
I thought this exact same thing whenever i saw the Gamescom trailer, doesn't mean there aren't fat people in the game, the devs just realise that attractive characters sell better
Doesn't prove much, since this game isn't going to have any content most dudes want to interact with, unlike First Descendant, which is obviously made to cater to them.

I am not really ready to be honest. Asian games, especially online games tend to be either grindy as hell or down right cash grabs. But more variety is always good
this is basically gta rp without violence. edit: yeah he forgets about Sims have monopolized this genre for so long. I'm still waiting for a gta in medieval era.
I really do hope this game opts for more freedom to casue absolute chaos. Some of my favorite memeories of the Sims was trying to push it to it's limits instead of just cozy and relaxing life simulator.
As a writer, I can see this having the potential to be a great brainstorming tool for designing my characters, their homes, etc. I've done that with Sims stuff before and this looks a lot more detailed. Using imagery from this along with a blog and some social media could also be a great way to promote a free to read story series that leads people to other works. It has potential.
I thought all writers have already been automated by AI, is it still possible to make money like that? But I generally see games like these more useful for architects, although that's also partially AI automated now.
I mean, its popular in the sense that it dominates it niche. Otherwise nobody outside of that talks about it and its largely forgotten. Inzoi is the much needed competition the sims needs, so hopefully sims 5 isnt like 1500$ of dlc the game.
Highly detailed games like Inzoi have demanding graphics requirements that the average casual player may struggle to meet, particularly on PC. Casual players constitute the majority of the Sims player base.
I do that in the Sims. I recreate my apartment in the Sims and then think "what's missing?" and look through what the Sims has. Rugs, paintings, nightstands, and I get inspired irl
Idk what some western dev thinking. Even Gamer girl or some LGBT gamer I know like hot characters. They didn't lose popularity so much as they just sat on the IP doing virtually nothing with it (outside a mobile game I guess) since SimCity(5)... and SimCity4 is still widelly regarded as the best with a pretty sizeable modding community to this day still. Cities Skylines isn't even anywhere near as good as SC4 but the one thing it does win out on besides graphics is traffic simulation. Anyways I'm not convinced we're looking at the next Sims. We've seen this sort of thing being pulled with 2ndLife, IMVU, GTAV (weirdly enough) and even Roblox; And if there's one thing in common about all of them is that they are successful within their niche, yes, but they haven't and never will dethrone The Sims.

EA's got nothing to worry about. Inzoi won't have mass appeal because it's hardgated behind very expensive computer setups while the Sims runs on budget setups without issue. If this game adds a moviemaker mode with 3rd party AI options for scripting & lets you make short movies with it & add a camera motion control software even something like the Kinect into it so you can control the character so they don't move like NPCs & add more male stuff like guns & swords options, this could work it could even out sell minecraft

Sims is super popular, but people are also fed up with EA in general, so the people who have been wanting stuff like cars which they've been asking for a decade... They can go to Inzoi for more and for realism. Same with Paralives. Fans of the sims who prefer building will simply move to Paralives. If both of these games are competition, EA may get better hopefully.
Nah. Sims has been slapping their fans around for years. The fans have been tolerating EA's nonsense since they don't have other options. A good competitor could overtake the Sims easily.
@@SabishiiRyuu most likely it won't, second life was released when the snowflake and anti sexy censorship culture we have nowadays was just an afterthought (2003), now a lot of game companies bend the knee, even stellar blade a game with a strong focus on fanservice got censored out 😂
I like people who make comments like "this game will be forgotten about when GTA6 releases" as if everybody plays Grand Theft Auto, especially the consumers who would buy into a game like this which are typically women. Everybody, even non-gamers, have heard of Grand Theft Auto, sure. But everybody has also heard of The Sims and The Sims caters to a much more casual userbase. I already know of a few women who are looking forward to this game more than they are anything else, and I'd bet The Sims community is going crazy for this game because a graphically realistic version of The Sims has been a common request for years. This is the competition that EA needs, and I'll probably buy and play this game whereas I find The Sims to be boring partly because of its graphics. Plus, there's a big reason currently to be concerned that GTA6 is going to go woke, to which I'm not going to buy it at all if that is the case.
Also, what's some of the things players can do in GTA: 5? Buy bigger and better houses/hideouts, many players want the Penthouse. Get custom designed expensive cars. Get cool looking expensive outfits. I bet for GTA: 6 these features will be expanded upon even more. People hate on The Sims, but plenty of other games with housing, transmog/clothing options, and mount/vehicle options are doing the same thing.

he says it's a girl game.. but as a guy who grew-up playing the sims on gamecube and original xbox, i can definitely tell you i would 100% play this. unfortunately, my pc is looking at this and nervously sweating it's 970 graphics-card off. reason i'd play it is to find out what you can do in it. same reason i played those sims games. see what silly stuff you can do. like trapping a family of 4 in a room, putting the furniture/rug too close to the fireplace, and seeing what happens in sims 1.
a lot of guys buy games like this and play them for a while to explore all the possibilities, but once you've done everything you'd thought of as interesting, as a guy, you just quit the game, maybe come back to it after a few updates or smth, but girls play these games just to talk with npcs, make cute characters, romance with npcs, etc, and you can do that endlessly. That's why sims are dominated by girls (statistically). If 500 guys and 800 girls buy a game, and then 400 of those guys quit, and only 200 of the girls quit, then you have 100 guys to 600 girls ratio
I bet the recquirements to even run the game is gonna recquire basically the latest hardware and graphics card to get enjoy the visuals fluidly. I think this game is aiming for the VR simulation online.
4:35 It's only applied for vanilla game. If this game support modding, there would be alot of guys playing it. You know, 18+ mod. If modding support allowed deep modiffication in gameplay, there would be more type of modder and player joined in, not just 18+.
Not just girls man. Having a digital shared space is something a lot of people would participate in. I remember when Sims Online came out - it was pretty trash, even for its time, but I played it a bit. It was fun meeting people and grinding BS tasks to skill up while chatting. I think that idea is dated now, however with how few shared spaces there are I think younger people would get into this and older people who enjoyed online games for their shared spaces in the past would be into it too. @@Billy-bc8pk "Better games" is subjective, the thing you need to understand is that attractive female hobbies are leisurely and relaxing, like The Sims, Animal Crossing, etc, and attractive male hobbies are like 2nd jobs, warhammer, management, MMOs, etc, but the sims does have a management/simulation side to it, and that's where many of the male fans came from, the original games who were fans of the simulation and management aspect. Those are the people who eventually became modders for these games. I am sure at one point in the early days, there were more male fans of The Sims than female ones in the early days.
People use the name God so casually now, Hes going to remind us what it really means.....
Not for me, but I like the prospect of the sims getting humbled by a better developer

A game like this is needed. Sims have no competition in this genre and because of that, EA has milked it dry, and charged a dam fortune for expansions, etc.
If this game adds a moviemaker mode with 3rd party AI options for scripting & lets you make short movies with it & add a camera motion control software even something like the Kinect into it so you can control the character so they don't move like NPCs & add more male stuff like guns & swords options, this could work it could even out sell minecraft
“A game like this is gonna get super popular” Asmon living under a rock, under a rock. Sims is HUGE. This just looks like sims with 100x better graphics.
Which is why people are going to flock to this. Also, Sims is still milking their last release and still have no clear release for Sims 5.
Looks like Second Life and the Sims got smashed together with 4k ultra realistic graphics
if it will allow half the degen content second life allows it will go big.
People hate on The Sims, but plenty of other games with housing, transmog/clothing options, and mount/vehicle options are doing the same thing.
kinda funny to those people who think all people will play gta 6 once it releases and forget other games. different people have different taste of gaming. they have to touch some grass to know the reality man
Gta 6 is dead on arrival
@@SuphiKeN yep and they forget the millions of women in china, where probably this is gonna be played A LOT more than GTA 6.
They say that as if GTA is competing for the same audience as this game. They’re not even in the same genre.
Also by that logic every other game on the market would be forgotten about when GTA6 comes out.
wow, i can definitely see me using these kinds of games for training AI models on real life interactivity, i have been developing a simple universe (most of it has been optimizations) and this is definitely gonna be a big step up if i can create a program around these

I've seen guys play Sims but the way they play it is always like how to kill the neighborhood or how illicitly ruin everyone around them. They just play it differently and with entirely different objectives
Yeah we play it the right way
tbh i played the fuck out of animal crossing
I usually play it like an RPG. Just try to raise stats and money.
I also play real life like this too.
I dunno, I played it normally. Perhaps it's a question of how many female friends or siblings you had growing up (that played it, obviously), but I think there are a lot of guys playing the Sims for the Sims, just like there are guys playing dress-up in GTA
Asmon forgot XQC loves this type of game, "guys play this game"?

You can adjust city safety and tensions?

As a guy who likes action rpgs, strategy games, and fps's mmos and whatever else... i like and play the Sims. InZOi was not high on the list of desired games because we have not had much in way of gameplay options. Sadly the other life sims were canceled which led to a delay of sims5. Nice to see them not focusing on the cats. That confused the heck out of the audience.
First thing we modded into sims was a serial killer mode.
A game like this was already super popular... The sims.
I used the sims to organize and modify my home in real life.
Also are people forgetting about second life?

4:13 You know its realistic Kr game when they burn a japanese flag in the trailer.
I showed my girlfriend who's a fan of many Korean and Japanese things already. Showing her this trailer was maybe a mistake. He got obsessed already snd immediately called her best friend that she plays The Sims 4 with. They even use mods. But both know nothing about gaming lol. My girlfriend plays Animal Crossing, The Sims 4 and occasionally Gran Turismo 7. Yep.... I showed her snd let her try and she got hooked. Wouldn't let me play for hours.
he says it's a girl game.. but as a guy who grew-up playing the sims on gamecube and original xbox, i can definitely tell you i would 100% play this. unfortunately, my pc is looking at this and nervously sweating it's 970 graphics-card off.
reason i'd play it is to find out what you can do in it. same reason i played those sims games. see what silly stuff you can do. like trapping a family of 4 in a room, putting the furniture/rug too close to the fireplace, and seeing what happens in sims 1.
"You're a beta"
a lot of guys buy games like this and play them for a while to explore all the possibilities, but once you've done everything you'd thought of as interesting, as a guy, you just quit the game, maybe come back to it after a few updates or smth, but girls play these games just to talk with npcs, make cute characters, romance with npcs, etc, and you can do that endlessly. That's why sims are dominated by girls (statistically). If 500 guys and 800 girls buy a game, and then 400 of those guys quit, and only 200 of the girls quit, then you have 100 guys to 600 girls ratio

4:35 It's only applied for vanilla game. If this game support modding, there would be alot of guys playing it. You know, 18+ mod. With this graphical level, no wonder why there would be 18+ mod for it.
And even without all of that, trolling potential is probably good. I was on a forum years back where we trolled Second Life often. Some of the best times I’ve had online lol You don’t need combat to make good times if the social experience is there.
