Thank you for the video! Without it, my husband and I would not have stoped on our way from Kyoto to Tokyo. The bird park was amazing as was the castle! The tourist information center was shocked we were visiting, and they let us store our luggage there but there was a small fee.

I love that you guys are showcasing places in Japan that wouldn’t be an automatic visit for a tourist. You’ve definitely expanded my trips to Japan beyond the typical cities. Can’t wait to be there again in May! P.S I’ll buy you guys dinner if you let me pick your brain about living in Japan as a foreigner.

Kakegawa(掛川) is a stage of a popular footbool anime, "Shoot!".
There are multiple pages in Wikipedia.
This anime seems to be seen widely in foreign countries.

That's what I thought, but the top looked a little weird to me with the two lines being diagonal instead of vertical. I wasn't sure if that was just a different "font" or handwritten style or something. Sigh...the joys of learning kanji...

Oh, tress are planted in the form of a Chinese character, 茶 (tea) @4:49.
thevenin26, this is the one the Japanese should learn at the elementary school.

Then some people start to write it faster. Rarely seen, but the one on the left top of this page
somewhat resembles to the one on the hill.
