Yo! Travelling to Japan in late Jan-Feb 2024: Any recommendations for the winter (Unfortunately not going north of the Kanto region)... and potentially any warnings for what to avoid or be careful of during the winter :)
Nagano and Gifu are amazing in Winter, great skii / snowboard spots & you can sit in the outdoor hot springs as the snow falls. If you have tattoos you can get banned from some Hot Springs but there are many that accept people with them too, specifically in Kusatsu & Kinosaki Onsen
I would still stay in the same areas I recommend in the beginning of this video, but there are lots of places around the Tokyo imperial palace if you would rather be closer to that. However its important to book early for April because that's the busiest season in Japan
Would you recommend this itinerary for winter travel too? I noticed some of the spots showcases Sakura season, so I was wondering how it is during winter :). Thank you.

Thanks for the video. May i know where can you recommend to go during winter in Tokyo?
Since its a city destination is mostly the same all year round. You might get some snow in winter and see illuminations though
Best video on utube!!
Cheers! What Japan topics would you like to see covered in the future?
I should have gone to Tokyo after seeing this
Did you just return from a trip?
@@InakaAdventure As you can tell from my video, I went 14 days ago
Hope you had an amazing time!
Tokyo is a place I called home 🗼
Do you have any recommendation were to stay in April. Would like to see shrines, garden, imperial palace
Thank you.
Yeah Winter in Tokyo is great, just replace some of the outdoor activities at day with going to see the Winter night illuminations.
