Hey everyone! 🌟 We're super excited to share our personal list of 10 things we absolutely love to do in Tokyo - these are the places we'd take our friends visiting from abroad. What are your favorite things to do in Tokyo? Let us know!
The size of Tokyo is mind blowing. One super cool result of being spread over so much real estate is the formation of all the small neighborhoods with their own, unique characters. Thank you for helping us navigate to the best of the best. That's incredibly helpful when vacation time is limited. I particularly love the green spaces and the nostalgic areas. Sending love to you both. 💙💚
I've gained so much weight just watching you two eat! *AND I LOVED EVERY BIT OF IT!* Now I have to watch this video again and write down all the places you recommended. I wasn't going to include Tokyo in my trip next year, but now I am. THANK YOU!! 🤣🤣
Loved this! I watch so many Tokyo Travel Videos that talk about the same things, but this had several recs I hadn't heard of (like the Metro Government building). Even the parts about convenient stores felt more personal & joyous than most. Y'all never fail to put a smile on our faces!
Hey guys, what a crispy-clear video again, congrats! Especially liked your ramen experience from 22:00 onwards 'it's only been a month, but I love you!' 🍜🌈
I will never be able to travel either to Japan or Hawaii, so you two are the BEST online guides! May the Almighty help you to go on with your food and sights tours! ❤
These are the vids I love when u guys get out and about!!!! I have been to most places as a regular traveler there!! But I must try that HAPPY RD OHYAMA!! 😮 I love nostalgic traditional japan!!! 👍🏻✌🏻
I'm flying to Tokyo in the first week of September. Although I'll have only 2 and a half day in Tokyo because the first six days will be spent hiking in the Northern Alps, this video has given me some ideas about what to do on my last part of the trip before flying home. Thank you so much!
Ooyana is one of my favorite places!!! And I lived near Yanaka Ginza so that is nostalgic for me. I simply love exploring new shotengai. I'm thinking about going to Jujo Ginza this November. And I'm going to Akabane more now as I have a direct bus to it close to the house I'm staying in. I think taking the bus over the subway is also a great way to get around and see some sides of the city. You can get the bus to Kinshicho from Sugamo station and it also has a stop at Tokyo Tower. And I love just walking around the area where I stay. You find great local cafes and small shops and you see a side of Tokyo you otherwise miss.
Keep the great videos coming of these great places. the little clubs you put them out and i and my grandson will watch them, look yummy he is already planning a trip just to eat the bentos and the food from the vending machines. Of course I will have to help him ha ha🤗😋😁
Excellent video! We saw some places we love, some places we plan to check out in the future, and some places we were not aware of. Thank you for your great content!
Thanks so much! I'm visiting Japan in October and although I've been to Tokyo before I found your video full of great suggestions for places I haven't been to before and of course the food!. Love you both guys!
Thanks guys for the video, will keep this for a next time in Tokyo definately as it underlines some places that I could not visit on that first try! I just came back some weeks ago for my first trip to Japan and I loved every second of it.
Thank you for this amazing video! Tokyo is such an amazing city. So much to see and do! I love the parks and mixed use neighborhoods and the infrastructure! I will visit someday!🎉
Thanks for the wonderful video. I'm going to Tokyo in two days, for the first time, by myself. Wish I had a tour guide like you guys.😆 When it comes to names of locations, it would be really helpful if you put both characters on the screen, e.g., Asakusa (浅草). Thanks for the good job. 😊
I have visit lot of what you show in this video. Somehow i have a smile and tear in my face. next year we come back to Japan.❤ thx for this from Dana and Christian! Love you guys 😮
My partner and I are visiting Tokyo in September and we are ABSOLUTELY going to make sure to try Tomo Ramen during the Tokyo part of our stay! The food looks phenomenal and your recommendation comes highly valued! 🥰
Thank you for taking us around Tokyo Shinichi and Satoshi! Although we just came back from our visit we are craving the food again and always looking forward to seeing more! 🤗
You guys had me worried: A video about "hidden gems", starting with some of the most touristy places in all of Tokyo. But luckily it got better after that, much much better! Got some good inspiration for my next visit to Tokyo!
Excellent video. I remember seeing some of these places on my last trip but you gave some that I did not get to see yet too. I am starting to plan my next trip now. Thanks!
Would love to see a video about Cat Cafe's and which are the best to visit! :3 As a fan of cats I know I'm super interested in seeing some whenever I visit!
3D mike neko is the cherry on top of this visual video dessert! I dream of visiting one day. Disabilities and food allergies are barriers as it looks like walking stairs is required?
This was a great tour, guys. I love the parks, so quite and beautiful. I agree Shinichi it's a lovely place for a picnic. And I'd be in trouble if I went into that vintage toy shop. I already want that Ultraman figure.😂 And I recently found out that they are going to use Japan 7-11 as a model to remodel the 7-11s in the States. I hope that means more fresh food options like what you guys have there. Btw you're both looking well. Take care, guys.❤😊
Haha, I just came back from two weeks in Japan (1 week in Tokyo and 1 week in Sendai). Stayed in Akihabara and visited all those 3 geek spots (Akihabara, Ikebukuro and Nakano). The side streets in Tokyo are definitely worth visiting if you want to escape the tourist crowds. Hope Satoshi's hometown wasn't too affected by the recent floods in Yamagata.
Great video guys! Been a while since I last saw your channel, but just found this video. You both look very well, love your eyeglasses! 🤓 Best wishes from your friends in Texas! ❤ 👵🌴🐊🌴
Love your show guys! This episode got me and the family laugh a little…those places you guys recommended are hardly hidden gems……? We were expecting places that are more hidden, unknown. Sensoji temple, Skytree, Tokyo Tower etc are not hidden gems……? 😅
I don't travel so will never get to Toyko. Do love your vids. Nice you included temples and gardens. More my style. Nice to see a new video pop up today! Hello from a warm and sunny Oregon US.
I've been to Japan around 20 times over the past 7 years. The next trip is booked for new year. But the dual pricing policy is too crazy. If that's officially adopted, Japan will be off my list of travel destinations. 😂
As an American, it continues to warm my heart to see/hear, Japanese instruct me how to get around Japan. No offense but if i see another white guy from UK/Australia, tell me about japan imma scream 😂
2:55 I'd love to know more about this fortune-telling method. Is it intending to be one-for-all, both a dream interpretation and a diagnostic tool for ancient physicians (I'm referring to the "patient get well soon" part)?
take into account you and 500,000 others are watching these hidden gems before travelling, so expect huge lines as they are now far from hidden. and huge lines are now very common in all of tokyo even in "non touristic" places, as dont forget there are also 30 million locals.
I dream of visiting one day. I'm 4 generations removed from Japan, would love to track down where the family used to live. Anyone know any way to start please let me know:)

Loved this video. Such a great travel video. Just what I would look for if I was coming to Japan. Here's hoping. Thanks for putting this together!
Thank you!
I have only seen the fish/carp-shaped Taiyaki. Very cool options.
I like that there are peaceful parks as well as busy city centres.
Love your videos. Will be back in Japan for my fifth trip sometime in April. Going for 3 months this time.

In one of the back alleys there was a Czech restaurant. It was cool seeing my country's flag in your video 🙂
Wow, awesome production (and the amount of work you put in this shows). Really well done 🙇👴🤗😊😁
Thank you very much!
Great video guys! Been a while since I last saw your channel, but just found this video. You both look very well, love your eyeglasses! 🤓 Best wishes from your friends in Texas! ❤ 👵🌴🐊🌴
Welcome back!
I so miss curry bread .yum yum yum....You have to try it
Oh man, the Tokyo Tocho building is a nice place! Dang! I'm definitely swinging by there. That looks more my speed. It seemed a lot more chill.
That’s exactly why we prefer this place
Thumbnail +1 👌🏽
22:23 what if I go by myself though :p
Great video, added a few things to my google maps for my upcoming trip.
This is the kind of stuff I missed the one time I was able to go there. I made a lot of mistakes back in 2007. I want to go back and do it right.
Dont forget to visit the food court at the basement of Nakano Broadway. Very cheap and good quality options!
Hi there,
thanks for the cool video. Just asking : do you know some good japanese guides in Tokyo (local people) or guide agencies to visit the city?
Thanks for showing off these lesser-known areas. It's a pity that the name Backstreet Boys was already taken. 😉
Haha that’s a good one .
Nice picks

Awesome video
Thanks!

Wow I stayed in Minowa in my last visit and completely missed all this ;_;
Thanks

What a shame! You are missing so much by not taking a trip or two. You should try it at least once before your days run out. You won't be sorry.
@@steveforbes7718some people literally can’t travel for various reasons.
@@LiterallyJustAnActualPotato I've learned that if one has the desire then nothing is impossible.
I missed all the places!

Arigato!
Took me 3 goes just to get a regular fortune at Senso-ji. And then I swear it was only because I changed my wish
2:55 I'd love to know more about this fortune-telling method. Is it intending to be one-for-all, both a dream interpretation and a diagnostic tool for ancient physicians (I'm referring to the "patient get well soon" part)?
It's a way of raising funds for the temple. 😅
I’d love to do all the things but realistically I’d end up getting lost in the megadonki for days 😅
Fun video. I think Satoshi is overdue for a waffle maker cooking video.

How's the projection mapping at metropolitan government building? Worth a visit?
It’s definitely worth seeing! It’s free too!
I dream of visiting one day. I'm 4 generations removed from Japan, would love to track down where the family used to live. Anyone know any way to start please let me know:)
Not necessarily hidden gems, but must visit places for first timers
❤❤
I admit, I'm still not used to seeing the Giga tower rather than the Sega one.
