- Most MP5 or clones are setup for military or police use in offensive actions. I am using mine as a personal defense weapon, with different priorities. I wanted something with maximum maneuverability in tight spaces, but good out to at least 60 meters. Other requirements were my optic not giving away my position if firing, blinding myself with flash, getting powder gassed in the face, or suffering permanent hearing damage if required to use. A short barrel rifle was out of the question, and a pistol brace, in my opinion, is a worthless substitute. However, thanks to the low recoil of the roller-delayed blowback AP5, I use a hip carried, 2 point sling method I came up with that in my opinion, satisfactorily replaces any stock, which I found gets in the way of maneuverability. I feel like I can shoot using this method as well as I could with an SBR but without the stock getting in the way.
I show the details of my setup, which starts with removing the sling clip. Next I removed the rear castle sight, and the sight blade from the front sight tower. I Installed a Shield SMS2 auto-dimming red light optic using the proprietary Shield SMS Red Dot Mount for the H&K MP5. The red dot and front aperture sight act as a backup in case of a red dot failure. I keep a flash break installed. My sling is nearly fully extended, as I use my AP5 in the hip carry position without a stock or pistol brace.
Finally, after this brief demonstration, a first time shooter is able to comfortably shoot stunningly well using my setup and method.
If you enjoy this video, then I implore you watch what I consider to be the definitive American Western Movie, "Shane" (1953.) Not only is it one of the best western movies ever made, but Shane is a shining example of proper attitude who demonstrates respect for firearms as the capable tools that they are. - Спорт
I came to learn how to use my sling properly and forgot all about that just watching this relaxing video, loved it!
Low-pro microdot mount + removable front sight post is a great combo. Non-permanent, too.
The optic/mount combo you see here is also non-permanent.
@@vyoufinder good thing, because that thing is so small you're probably searching for it. Might as well put the irons back on.
Not searching at all. The window dimensions of the red dot are 21x16mm. I won't be putting the sights back on.
@@vyoufinder Shield mount?
Awesome vid Sir! 👍🏽
Thanks! 👍
Before you removed the iron sights, did the red dot cowitness?
Yes. It was a perfect co-witness. Unnecessary though, because the front sight ring works in conjunction with the Shield as an aperture sight.
Complete mystery why someone would remove the 3 point sling mount on the mag well..and how someone has so little control over the smoothest shooting sub gun that weighs 6 lbs and is only 9mm.. The support hand pulls back while firing hand pushes forward while the properly adjusted sling is taught..basically use this video as what NOT to do for the example..
I suspect lots of things are a complete mystery for you.
I was being nice trying to sugar coat your gross incompetence and lack of training..
It's obvious that you're a very miserable person or bot. That's why I was being nice to you; because I genuinely feel sorry for you. Good luck with that.
Americans. Sigh.
Awesome firearm love the MP5 and its clones....what sight and mount is that I like the low profile and the ability to co-witness....I just got an AP5-M and looking for a red dot set....kool vid subbed 👍🏼🇺🇲
It's the SMS mount from Shield. Thanks!
@@vyoufinder appreciate the info 👍🏼
Also check the description for more info. Don't be surprised if you find you don't need the iron sights at all/find them to be in the way.
@@vyoufinder ok kool good info I will decheck ot out thanks 👍🏼
